When I'm in Oberhausen...it's always a pleasure.

No one has ever been there before, but they are still waiting for a long time... Teníamos un muy buen recuerdo. Asi que volví con mi familia (marido e hijos) y... Fue maravilloso!!!! It's not the first time I've been there, but it's true that it was a long time ago and... We had very good memories. So I came back with my family (husband and kids) and... It was wonderful!!!!

First of all I have to say that the renovation was really worth it and the ambience is really beautiful. The service is also good 👍. The waiters are really very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food is below average. We really often go out for Greek food and enjoy it in different places and have to say that unfortunately it wasn't good here. The tzatziki tasted more like sour cream than if quark was used instead of Greek yogurt. That wasn't tasty. The fish was ok but the sauce was just run of the mill cream and peppercorns, so it had a very bland taste. The (red) rice was also bland and tasteless, I think it was simply cooked in water and then mixed with a red tasteless sauce. The gyro was really very fatty and the Metaxa sauce was 90% cream. All in all very disappointing. As if the cook had no real training and simply slapped everything onto the plate in a careless and, above all, tasteless manner. All the dishes simply lacked flavor and kick. As if they don't try their dishes themselves. As I said, we have a lot of experience with visiting restaurants and we also like to cook a lot at home, so our opinion/review is based on competence/experience and comparison with the many others. It's a shame, the atmosphere is really inviting and really great, but we won't be going there again.

Very courteous waiter but otherwise unfortunately a failure. Food had to be remade once because it was only lukewarm. There was also a red wine sauce without red wine. Second attempt wasn't so good either. The meat was half dry and the vegetables were overcooked (you can also argue about rice as a side dish with ox cheeks in red wine sauce). In the other dish, the spinach crunched between my teeth with every bite (not clear if it was salt or sand). Unfortunately not good for 50 €... (plus the portions are relatively small for the price)

We had dinner there on Wednesday. The service was very nice. But we have one little thing to complain about. We had the grill plate for two, which came to our table already lukewarm. We only ate half of the plate because everything was ice cold after about 10 minutes. When I spoke to the waiter he just said "that's the way from the kitchen to the terrace, it just gets cold there We reserve the right not to eat there again.

Friendly staff and delicious food. Sat under the trees. The liver was excellent.

The food wasn't bad. But not an absolute blast either. The portions really take some getting used to, I'll say. We already come around a lot. And things are being screwed up everywhere so that the prices don't go up, but that was a number in itself when it came to salad... I expected more just because it was at the CentrO. Well... Maybe we'll give it another chance.

We were satisfied guests at the "Grieche Neon" for a long time, but since the restaurant reopened in July 2024, the restaurant has unfortunately declined significantly. Our first visit after the reopening was a failure: the grill plate for two people was significantly smaller than before the closure and the meat was so tough that you could hardly chew it - it was like Yuchten leather. The salad dressing was extremely acidic and gave us heartburn. Despite this bad experience, we gave the restaurant a second chance and recently went there for lunch. Unfortunately we were disappointed again. The bifteki was tiny, maybe 75 grams in weight, and was accompanied by five thick fries and the once again far too sour side salad. To make matters worse, the Bifteki was initially raw and after our complaint we were served a tiny, unfilled "Cevapcici". Our complaint was simply shrugged off. Unfortunately, after these experiences, we can no longer recommend the restaurant and will not be coming back.

We often eat in small Greek restaurants that not only offer a much more authentic feel, but also serve better quality and cheaper food. We paid 50 euros for two dishes and drinks, but the quality left a lot to be desired compared to the cheaper shops. It's really disappointing that a restaurant in such a location offers such poor value for money. Unfortunately, the gyro was quite wobbly and was covered with a large amount of onions - there were more onions on the plate than gyros. Grill plate is something different. I also found it extremely rude that the waiter talked to his colleague in a foreign language while I had to pay. We definitely won't be coming back.

Price/performance really top. Good portions and really tasty food. We also found the service great 👍

It's worth going there. We will now have delicious meals there more often. Super friendly, even with children. If you could give more stars, there would definitely be more.

We ordered a steak medium, but it was brought rare. The eggplants were too fatty. The atmosphere was incredibly nice, but we didn't like the food. Too bad. By the way, the waitress was unfriendly.

Service very unfriendly, incompetent. When ordering, it was immediately mentioned that we were only allowed to order food. We wanted to order drinks first and then food. We were then asked out.

When I visited friends from Duisburg at the end of July, we visited the current exhibition in the Gasometer on July 30, 2024 and then went to the NEON restaurant for dinner. My friends chose the restaurant because they had been here several times and had always been satisfied up to that point. The furnishings are modern, attractive and the first impression was positive. In addition to the normal menu, a small lunch menu is also offered at lunchtime. After ordering the drinks, my friends opted for 2x lunch menu gyros with fries and a side salad and I opted for a Glaros salad from the regular menu. When the food came, I was a little irritated. The portion of the salad was the size of what I thought would be an appetizer. But it is offered as a main course, with a current price of €15.50. I then spoke to the waiter, who brought the boss to my table. I told the boss that I found the portion size of the salad (here it's all about the salad, not the amount of turkey strips) too small compared to the price quoted. His answer to me was that I probably wasn't from here and that this was the philosophy of his restaurant and that these were completely normal portions. He then wished me bon appetit and left the table. Personally, I find it highly unprofessional to deal with guests in this way when they openly express constructive criticism, even if they may not come up close, at least my friends do 😉. They also advised me to say something to the waiter because they also thought the portion was too small. We definitely won't be seeing each other any time soon.

Table reserved for 4 people. Great sitting outside, right on the water. Service attentive and very nice. Portions just right for my taste, not too much and not too little. Price/performance in the top range. It was fun to eat here. Thank you NEON

On the food mile at the Oberhausen Centro. Price performance is very good. The lunch menu offers a lot of choice. The food is very tasty and nicely prepared.

The food is no longer the same as last year. The meat was tough, perfectly overcooked, the fries were soft and undercooked. Everything was better before the renovation. Has the chef changed?

After a day in the Gasometer and Centro we came here. I haven't experienced such good, friendly and caring service in a long time. Big thanks to Apo. We were here with 4 people. Very good portions for young and old, everything is fine. Not overly seasoned or chewy. Gyros very crispy. Fish, meat, pasta and fries are all fine. Bill, ouzo and chocolate for the children. The few meters from the Centromeile are definitely worth it. Children's chairs are available and the toilets are clean and adapted to the elegant ambience. We will definitely come back and would be happy to recommend Neon.

Were there with two adults and two children. Sat outside when the weather was nice. In advance There are no children's meals. We had the lamb plate twice for around 30 euros and what can I say it was very disappointing. The fries (frozen) were only lukewarm and the meat was cooked through and therefore toe. My wife's turkey breast dish was ok Seriously, in my opinion, any grilled plate at the Turkish restaurant is more recommended. We paid around 90 euros, which I didn't think was justified The service was not very friendly and requests for side dishes were hardly addressed. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

We were there in the middle of the week in the early evening and easily got a seat in the restaurant. You can sit indoors, in a covered outdoor area or by the water. The service was quick and provided us with food quickly. The comfort and relaxation of eating out have been neglected. The food was really excellent and the portion size was really sufficient. The entire staff seemed very stressed and hectic, even though there wasn't that much going on.

Have dined here several times now. Just a great shop. Nice staff and a very good kitchen, of course there is always room for improvement, but this kitchen is very close.

The food was bad, the meat was hard and rubbery, they forgot to bring us the coffee we ordered. But the coffee itself is very good.

We ate there today, the service was funny and friendly, and the children were even really excited. Apu was always within reach, every wish was fulfilled. I had lunch there with my wife today, July 13, 2024, and also for the last time. I had gyros with bifteki and souvlaki skewer and fries. Actually also with tzatziki but that was forgotten. The fries were soggy, some of them were still raw, and taken out of the deep fryer way too early, the salad, which actually comes to the table first, came to our table during the meal with the excuse that it was forgotten. The waiter also said the fries were too short in the deep fryer and I was offered a coffee as an apology, but the fries were still on the bill, really outrageous. Service was friendly and accommodating. The meat souvlaki skewer was dry and left on the grill for far too long, tough as leather. I cannot recommend this Greek. Unfortunately 🤷 it's actually pretty outrageous to serve something like that on the table.

Unfortunately I have to revise myself, the meal on July 7th, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. was a disaster, I had ordered the grill plate, the result was the rice was cold like it came from the refrigerator, the fries were unsalted, the side dish, which was supposed to be called a salad, was so sour like the face of the waiter who brought the food, on a grill plate where there is gyros there should also be tzatziki, nothing dry like the desert, to add that was garnished with an old onion. Result: once and never again, God knows there are better Greek restaurants in Oberhausen.

I have been here so many times. Really delicious Greek and the staff has been part of the inventory for years.

Overall, a really nice restaurant with friendly service. The meal was okay. But if the salad is served in a tiny bowl and you can almost easily count the fries on the plate, then unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right for me.

If the waiter didn't have to deal with technology problems.

Heerlijk gegeten, uitgebreide kaart tegen goede prijzen Voorgerechten zijn top! Hoofdgerechten zoals bij een Griek gewend. Goede smaak. Nagerechten zeer betaalbaar. Moderne inrichting. Wel zeer druk en rumoerig. Toilet een keer vaker op de avond schoonmaken is geen luxe. Maar ondanks drukte klantvriendelijk personeel die regelmatig komen vragen of alles naar wens is. Aanrader!

Eten was goed alleen personeel is iets wat luidruchtige gasten niet gewend wat je al gauw hebt met 5 mannen.

Essen sehr lecker, zum Mittagstisch leider sehr kleine Portionen.

Sehr leckeres Essen und die Tageskarte sehr günstig. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Mooi restaurant, gelegen aan de kerstmarkt en winkelcentrum Centro. Het was heel druk ivm de kerstmarkt maar toch was er gelukkig een plekje vrij, Vriendelijke bediening en heel lekker eten.

Nette lunch menu, iets voor iedereen. Voor mij klein probleem- hond in de buurt-ik ben allergish !

Leuke inrichting in de sfeer van het seizoen. Gevarieerd lunchmenu. Smakelijke gerechten. Snelle service. Attente gastheer. Honden zijn toegestaan wat leuk is voor de baasjes, maar minder voor mensen met huisdierallergie.

Personeel was vriendelijk, in voor een praatje . Eten was heerlijk. De sfeer was prima

Heel vriendelijke bediening beetje prijzig, maar wel goed wat je krijgt. Grote ruimte maar toch gezellig ingericht ieder zijn plaatsje.

Extreem druk door tegenover de kerstmarkt. Ondanks hadden we binnen 10 minuten een tafel Eten was goed zoals Duitse Grieken meestal wel zijn. Service was koud en gehaast, waarschijnlijk door die drukte.

Essen nur lauwarm, einige Kellner recht unfreundlich ( nicht alle), sehr lautes Ambiente.

Sehr schönes Lokal, Essen lecker Bedienung freundlich. Waren nach dem Weihnachtsmarkt Mittags essen.

Sehr guter Service und gutes Essen. Wir waren oft da und sind immer zufrieden gewesen! Der überbacken Schafskäse im Sesammantel ist der Hammer und wird immer zur Vorspeise bestellt.

Wir wurden sehr, sehr nett begrüßt. Es kam auch sehr schnell eine Bedienung, die nach unseren Wünschen fragte. Die Getränke wurden ebenfalls zügig serviert und quasi 10 Sekunden nachdem wir bestellt hatten, stand auch schon der sehr leckere Beilagensalat auf dem Tisch. Das Hauptgericht wurde auch sehr schnell serviert und war wirklich liebevoll angerichtet und ebenfalls sehr lecker. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend in ganz toller Umgebung mit wirklich sehr nettem Personal. Jederzeit gerne wieder nur zu empfehlen.

Supertolles essen für kleines Geld alles super Personal superfreundlich

Ein nettes Restaurant, ich bin öfter dort. Das Essen ist sehr gut und abwechslungsreich, die Preise wie überall. Minuspunkte gebe ich den meisten Kellnern, die sich benehmen, als ob sie gezwungen sind dort zu arbeiten, wirken arrogant und gelangweilt und noch ein minus Punkt für Raumerfrischer was es war mit einem starken und schlechten Geruch.

Het interieur ziet er leuk uit en de locatie is goed. De gastheren zijn heten je graag welkom. Daarna werden wij een beetje vergeten, het duurde lang voordat we ons drankje kregen. Snel daarna wel het eten gekregen. De friet was lekker en vers. Gyros zat vol vet stukken en andere harde stukjes. De souvlaki was eetbaar en redelijk oké. Bij de salade zat er een plasje water onderin het kommetje. Ik merkte dat de houten vloer erg glad was en slecht onderhouden.

Mooie Griek erg leuk ingericht! Gezellie personeel. Eten was super. 2 voorafjes genomen brocetta en brood met tzatziki.. lekkhár wijntje er bij. Hier op het gemak gegeten. Het eten was heerlijk en veel.. Echt een aanrader!

Sowohl optisch ist das Restaurant ein absolutes Highlight, wie auch von der Nettigkeit der Mitarbeiter! Dazu gibt es eine perfekte Küche, welche keine Wünsche offen lässt…

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant, Mittagstisch sehr lecker und vom Preis-Leistung Verhältnis einfach nur Klasse. Die Schweinemedaillons mit Pfifferlingsoße und Pommes kann ich nur empfehlen. Das ganze Personal ist einfach Spitze sehr freundlich und Mega hilfsbereit.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen megalecker, leider kam unsere Bestellung nicht in die Küche an und mussten wir sehr lange warten, sonst sehr zu empfehlen, jetzt das 2te mal da gewesen und wieder kam die Bestellung nicht in der Küche an, essen war ok , bedienung freundlich, aber chaotisch
