My grandma's favorite restaurant. And I can only share my grandmother's opinion. A super nice authentic shop, in the summer you can sit outside in the garden but inside it is also really beautifully done. There is a family aura throughout the shop and the staff is more than that. With regular customers you automatically know what your favorite food is also drink. No matter how crowded it is, the food is always at the table relatively quickly. Also always fresh and hot, especially the meat is so tender - it melts in my eyes. Always a nice experience to be there on site. Dogs are always welcome, and a water bowl is usually left there without comment. And if you have a small dog that likes to bark, no one from the staff looks at you angrily - on the contrary, they always understand.

We've been there several times. The quality of the food is outstanding. I have never eaten better Greek. It is also not a given that the ouzo flows in torrents. So it's better to come by taxi. All in all: After a visit to Aphrodite in Oberhausen, you want to apply for Greek citizenship and only speak with an accent. Thank you for every great evening with you. We know how demanding gastronomy is and you make eating an experience. Thank you for that and please keep it up for many years.

We were there spontaneously on Saturday. Even though it was full, we were warmly welcomed and quickly found a table outside. Cozy atmosphere. We ordered starters and main courses. The starters were visually well presented and tasty. We were only disappointed with the 23rd fried calamari. Deep fried squid rings were served. We expected something different. But the main courses were tasty, juicy meat, sufficient portions. Only some of the gyros were still raw. The red rice was a bit bland in taste. The spices were missing here. Nevertheless, the stay was positive and the service was very nice and attentive. One star deducted for the negative points about the food, but otherwise very good.

Update 2024: unfortunately has decreased significantly. I've been eating there since I was a child and have always been very satisfied. It's probably not the same owner as in the 90s, but that doesn't matter because the food, service and price are great.

We celebrated our 50th class reunion and had a nice room all to ourselves, the service was good, the food was served relatively simultaneously and promptly. Everyone found the food very tasty and varied. I found the price-performance ratio to be okay. The only criticism: Contrary to the agreement to keep our meeting open-ended, the host asked us to pay at 10:20 p.m. That wasn't okay, which is why the next class reunion will take place in a different restaurant. A pity.

We were there for dinner with 10 people. It was very crowded, the staff was friendly but very overwhelmed. Drinks were forgotten and appetizers were only given later than others were already ready. Unfortunately, the main course was only fried on one side.

I have known the restaurant since 2007 when I lived within walking distance. It was my regular Greek home until I moved away in 2011, after which I was only there at regular intervals. Today for the first time in 4 years and either I have romanticized it in my memory or it has faded over the years. Unfortunately, the salad, saganaki and fries were pretty bland, but the meat was quite good. The service was quick, but we weren't greeted with an ouzo like all the other guests, well you can forget that, no problem. But when we wanted to pay we were again not offered ouzo (for other guests this was the automatic query: "Pay?" "Ouzo?"). When I asked if we could get an ouzo, I was asked if we were new? Are new guests no longer able to enjoy Greek hospitality? We then got the ouzo, but I no longer really felt welcome as a guest, which is a shame.

Four of us have been there twice now, including 1 vegetarian. The selection is very large, everyone will find something suitable. The food is very tasty, the portion size is large as expected. Price performance fits. The service is quick and very nice. Whatever plates go through, hats off to the interaction between kitchen and service. Next time we would like an open terrace, which is what I would have expected and wished for when it was over 25 degrees on Mother's Day.

The service was very good and attentive compared to other restaurants. The ambience was also quite good. Problem with the rating, in a restaurant the food plays an important role and this is exactly where I think the compromises are too great. At least some of it was too overdone for me; the fries could have used a little (more) salt. One of the biggest minuses is the rice, which is rather different from different Greek restaurants. In my opinion, here it was more al dente rice with tomato ketchup instead of Djuvec rice.

The food was great, we were greeted with an ouzo and a juice for the little ones. The waiters were friendly and accommodating until it couldn't be any more. And the prices are totally okay too. Therefore an absolute recommendation

Gyros and liver were great, but the skewer, steak and meatball were fried to death and totally dry. We don't want to talk about the Metaxa sauce, it's just tasteless. In addition, the behavior of the boss was cruel, he felt attacked by everyone at the table and was totally offended. And that for 72 euros for 2 people. Too bad, never again.

We went here on a recommendation, completely spontaneously and had not reserved a table. We were greeted very courteously and we were asked if 1.5 hours would be enough for us, which I thought was extremely nice because everything was fully booked, we would have been sent away somewhere else. Service was bombastic. The food was delicious and a great location, it was definitely not our last visit ☺️

I can't say much about the guest room. We went bowling there.

The staff is very friendly! When the dish I ordered was served, I was irritated! I ordered dish 81! I got a totally overloaded plate! After unsuccessfully searching for the lamb I ordered and trying it a bit, I didn't want to eat anything anymore! Later research revealed that I was served dish 91! A huge bifteki, I can only describe it as really disgusting

We were there today with my parents on December 31st. to guest. The food was great as always. Everyone was full afterward. The staff is super nice and a kind word is always common here. Located in a residential area, a gem is hidden behind inconspicuous walls. Hospitality is lived here! The service was very attentive and friendly during the various visits there. The food is very very tasty. Whether it's shrimp in garlic oil, the zucchinis from the starter menu, the lamb in mushroom sauce, the meat dishes - everything is cooked to perfection and served really hot. You can sink your teeth into the tzatziki. The only reason it wasn't enough to get five points was that the standard rice that was often served with the dishes really didn't taste good. Unfortunately, this also applies to the side salads. Since the portions are large, we just leave it there. It should be mentioned that there are no problems bringing an assistance dog with you. We'd love to come back.

Naja, das essen hier ist nicht mein fall, alles schmeckt irgendwie nach ein und demselben gewürz.

Das einzige was sich als schwierig ergibt, ist vorher die Parkplatz suche. Dieses aus folgenden Gründen: Super nettes Personal und leckeres Essen. 😉

Immer wieder gerne! Das Essen ist gut und der Service ausgezeichnet. Lediglich die Lautstärke im Lokal ist sehr hoch, es fehlen schallschluckende Elemente. Dafür ist der Biergarten im Sommer umso schöner.

Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen in keiner Weise nachvollziehen. Nachdem unser Stammgrieche aus Bottrop verzogen ist, haben wir das Restaurant Aphrodite ausprobiert. Waren sofort begeistert. Herzliche Atmosphäre, erstklassige Speisen und Superservice. Hier ist der Gast noch Gast und nicht Last! Weiter so, kommen gerne wieder!

Absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant! Das Essen ist herausragend und der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen. Seit Jahren sind wir treue Gäste und das aus gutem Grund. Besonders Georgios, der Besitzer, versteht es, eine herzliche Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Die familiäre Begrüßung der (Stamm)Kunden verleiht dem Besuch eine persönliche Note, die man nur schwer woanders findet. Hier fühlt man sich vom ersten Moment an wohl. Uneingeschränkt fünf Sterne!

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und hatten einen sehr schönen Platz. Das Einzige, wofür ich unbedingt einen Punkt abziehen muss, ist die durchsichtige Plastikdecke über der Tischdecke. Dieses hat einen "Pommesbuden-Charakter und ist für ein gutes Restaurant alles andere als angemessen. Schade, es nimmt die Gemütlichkeit., daher wird es beim nächsten Mal ein anderes griechisches Lokal werden. Ansonsten alle sehr nett und freundlich.

mit meiner Bekannten hin. Die Gerichte sind sehr reichhaltig, aber man kann sich die Reste einpacken lassen, oder in selbst mitgebrachte Dosen packen. Was uns beide stört, ist nicht nur die laute Geräuschkulisse (weil es immer sehr voll ist), sondern auch das hektische Treiben der Kellner, sie rennen durch den Saal und auf Nachfragen antworten sie "da habe ich keine Zeit zum erklären " Das ist keine griechische Gemütlichkeit.

Sehr leckere Speisen, nette Bedienung, tolle Athmosphäre. Hier fühlt man sich wohl! Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert!
