A very friendly young woman served us. Since we're not exactly experts on Pakistani food, she explained the dishes well. I didn't find the seating particularly comfortable, but it was fine for the duration of the meal. And it was absolutely delicious!

Based on many recommendations, I went to Khan Ji with my daughter and son-in-law for a meal—or rather, a delicious feast. It was a real treat; I had the chili chicken, which was simply divine. My daughter and son-in-law were just as delighted as I was. The service and the friendly manner of the staff were outstanding, and I will gladly return.

Hello everyone, we just ate at your place (Sunday lunchtime, 2 p.m.): We absolutely loved the food! First, we found a parking space right away. We were immediately greeted politely at the restaurant! There were a lot of staff around and lots of guests :). The restaurant has a really stylish and atmospheric decor. It looks great, very cozy, and you immediately feel at home. Attentive staff, great service, who immediately notices empty glasses and empty rice bowls :-). We chose the Mixed Thali platter for 2 people. It's the surprise platter, where you get to try some Indian delicacies: On the platter were (in our opinion): - Chicken Tikka - Butter Chicken - Chicken Tikka Masala - Chicken Curry - Lamb Karahi - Palak Paneer - Yogurt Raita We could be wrong, though :-)))) Naan is always great! Especially the garlic version. The food was of excellent quality - we ate everything and will be back :-) The picture speaks volumes :)

Update (05.08.2025): Everything was perfect today. Four of us were here, and everyone enjoyed the food. The food was excellent, generous, and the service was quick and friendly despite the packed place. It's rare to find as much paneer in a paneer dish as here 😋 Incredibly delicious food (you can specify the spiciness yourself, so no one has to suffer). The service is very friendly but a little overwhelmed (otherwise, it would have given full marks). The quality of the food, however, more than makes up for it 😉

The food was too greasy for me, the staff didn't understand German, English or even French, even old school with hands and feet sugar it with the shoulder

The food at Khan Ji is a masterpiece of Indian/Pakistani cuisine. There was nothing that didn't taste amazing. The platter for two was particularly worth it. I could have easily just eaten the paratha and naan, though. Definitely worth a visit!

Hey, if you're looking for a really good Indian restaurant in Oberhausen, you can't miss Khan Ji. The smell of Delhi vacation is immediately apparent as you walk in. The spices? A poem. Every curry tastes different, not a one-size-fits-all dish, but finely balanced flavors that really hit your taste buds. And the mango lassi? Creamy, cool, sweet, round, practically dessert in a glass. The portions are filling, special requests are easily accommodated, and veggies and vegans won't go empty-handed either. It's best to order the platter for two, then you get the full package. Best with naan, rice, and all the trimmings. The only catch: Parking is scarce in the area. If you're driving, you'll need patience or luck. On the other hand, the seating inside is nice and relaxed, the staff is attentive without being intrusive, and you immediately feel like you're in good hands. The Sheriff's conclusion: A culinary short trip to India without having to board a plane. Picture-perfect flavors, fair prices, and excellent service. Next time, I'll be sniffing through the menu again, this time with a double lassi.

I was there two days ago with a friend for dinner (not for the first time, but I usually have lunch). Somehow I managed to order the wrong menu item and wasn't impressed when the chicken suddenly turned out to be cheese... They immediately noticed something was wrong and spoke to me. I declined a replacement dish, saying it was my own fault. Five minutes later, I still got my desired meal—and in the end, I only had to pay for the dish I ordered. Thank you so much!!! And it was incredibly delicious.

The dishes were fine. I ate a mixed grill plate number 40 and a tomato/cucumber salad. The different meat preparations all had the same taste. Whether chicken or meat rolls, everything is the same. The salad was fresh but carelessly prepared. After I ordered vinegar and oil and used it, it was fine. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. All in all I'm disappointed 😞

We arrived at 6:20 PM and ordered at 6:35 PM The waiter indicated that it would take a maximum of an hour before we would receive the food. The order is placed in the system fifteen minutes later, we waited more than an hour and a half for our food and it never came. Asked twice where the food is, first it was 2-5 minutes, the next waiter indicated after we had already waited 20 minutes that the waitress would come after 10 minutes. We also had another appointment that is important and cannot be rescheduled. I don't recommend it and the manager also yells at you because you ask for your food that you have been waiting for an hour Service is garbage! They are very late bringing your food Not customer friendly at all It scared me how the manager was yelling at me!!! I find it positive that there are only non-alcoholic drinks. The entire restaurant including toilets is very clean. Tables are spaced far enough apart that you can have a conversation without guests at the next table listening. Roadside parking.

Everything was great, no alcohol, everything halal, I think it was great. Very tasty friendly and clean your food always stays warm with the candle underneath in the container. Many variants also for vegetarians, but if you can't eat a lot of spicy food you should say so at the beginning :) then they'll do it the way you want. We'll be back soon :)

In which restaurant do you order your food over the phone, which you want to eat in the restaurant? To be on the safe side, we'll avoid this one, which is less stressful for the staff. It's a shame...a shame, the food is actually very good.

Khan Ji is definitely my favorite Indian restaurant! It is sweetly furnished and offers a cozy courtyard terrace under vines in summer, where you can sit wonderfully. My absolute recommendation is the mango vegetables – simply incredibly delicious! It's one of the best dishes I've ever had in an Indian restaurant. I found the food to be inauthentic. It just didn't appeal to me. Visually it looked good. But that was it. My lentil soup simply tasted like broth and the chicken was extremely dry. We asked for our naan bread 3 times, but we didn't get it at all. Personally, I wouldn't go to this restaurant again. Service was ok (except for the naan bread incident)

Unfortunately, parking is only possible on the side of the road, and later in the evening it is not so easy to get a parking space close to the restaurant. Otherwise the portions are very good and the prices are very fair. If we lived in the area, this would definitely be our favorite Indian restaurant.

This restaurant is a Pakistani restaurant and not an Indian one, it is passable but having quite extensive experience with Indian dishes, it is not up to standard with traditional Hindu dishes, I took a fish dish and unfortunately the taste was poor. was really not there is the sauce too thick with unnatural chili we left without finishing our dishes it's more of a fast food than a restaurant, I'm not a person who criticizes easily but you can do better.

Khan Ji is and remains my absolute favorite restaurant. We have been regular customers since it opened and love the food. I attach great importance to quality, and you can taste it here. The food is freshly prepared, so there may be a long wait. All employees are nice and accommodating. The only thing that could be improved is the aquarium. I'm not a fan of aquariums in restaurants. I've never seen a species-appropriate aquarium in a restaurant.

What I particularly like is that no alcohol is served. The dishes are all recommended & 100% Halal. A small starter is offered and the food is freshly prepared. The prices are reasonable and not expensive at all. The green peppermint sauce for the starter is my absolute favorite 😉😍 (The entrance has a few steps).

A few weeks before Christmas I had ordered a table for two people for December 26th, which worked out well in that the reservation was confirmed quickly. However, when making the reservation I mentioned that I was coming with someone who had a walker because I wanted to know whether this would cause any problems in the premises. And if you have this clue (in this case the clue was for the restaurant) you can assume that one of the people is not good on foot. On the day of the table reservation, my companion was relatively easy to walk and since we were able to park virtually opposite the restaurant due to the holiday, we didn't have to rely on a walker, which was anything but a given. Unfortunately, our table was right at the back of the restaurant and we had to climb an additional staircase. I actually didn't think it was that good because the person I was accompanying me isn't usually that good on foot and it was just a stroke of luck that day. Now about the service, ambience and food... Service was good and attentive, the atmosphere is harmonious and cozy (although the music could have been a little more subtle in volume), the food was first-class, beautifully prepared, portions were large enough and very tasty. And the mango lassi is delicious to kneel down on. Conclusion: Except for a few little things, it was great and I would and will come back.

I am a regular here and I can highly recommend the restaurant. The food is fresh and super delicious. The boss always tries to please everyone. The prices are absolutely justified and compare with other restaurants, even in my opinion cheap, especially lunch. A three-course menu for €15... You can get that at every chip shop, but here you get freshly cooked food and no fast food rubbish. I hope Kahnji stays with us for a long time! 👍👍👍
