After a long time we ate here again. My dog ​​was also allowed to come with me. We got a table right at the entrance, somewhat screened off and with a great big corner where the dog could lie in peace. That was absolutely amazing. The service was nice and courteous. The food, as always, was very tasty. Gladly again.

Very nice restaurant. Even though the restaurant was full, the waitresses were always present and made sure to work cleanly and tidily when serving. The restaurant was very nicely decorated. The mango lassi was topped with a piece of perfectly ripe mango. The starter plate for two people was delicious. Everything top and first class. I'm a picky eater and it's not easy to please. I've been raving about the food at Kahn Ji since my first visit, the lamb birjami was almost perfect. You can taste a variety of spices and herbs, the lamb is super tender and as a tip, take 2 Garlic Nan, halve them and distribute the lamb and rice equally. The combination is unbeatable. This location deserves all the praise I can give.

Wir waren zum Buffet Abend da. Das Essen war sehr vielfältig und auch die vegetarischen Speisen waren reichhaltig vorhanden. Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Lediglich das Ambiente könnte etwas Landestypischer sein. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

If you like Indian & Pakistani food you should definitely eat here 🙏 Top restaurant, with attentive, unobtrusive staff; short waiting time, in a cozy atmosphere. What I particularly like is that no alcohol is served. The dishes are all recommended & 100% Halal. A small starter is offered and the food is freshly prepared. The prices are reasonable and not expensive at all. The green peppermint sauce for the starter is my absolute favorite 😉😍 (The entrance has a few steps).

All bread items were good, and I highly recommend the Mango Lassi, Shikanji-style fresh lime soda, and Chicken Kadhai. The biryani was a bit dry, though. The staff is friendly and open to customization, making it a great spot for vegetarians with a large selection available. Authentic taste, traditional ambiance, and perfect service!. The owner, Rizwan bhai, is always happy to help and ensure that the food taste is perfect and everything is served well.

We ordered a Thaali (veggy plate) for 2 people including a fish curry. - We waited over 1 hour for the food. - There were far fewer dishes (curries) on the Thaali than shown on the menu (costs €40). - 2 of the 5 curries were with the same cheese and 1 of them was creamed spinach from the discount store. - Fish Curry was also a very small quantity, even though we ordered for 2 people. - Then the rice was brought to us first and we waited again because the waiter forgot to bring the curries. + It still tasted good, but for the price and the waiting time, there was a different expectation. Conclusion: There are much better places with significantly lower prices and waiting times. My recommendation: First and foremost, better organize and coordinate service.

Kan Ji is an experience!! Totally recommended in every respect. Taste, service, friendliness, everything TOP!! Everything that is served here is homemade and there is enough choice for every taste or philosophy (vegan, vegetarian, etc.) and one is tastier than the other. The staff cannot be surpassed in terms of friendliness and attentiveness without being intrusive. I can't praise the restaurant enough...you have to be there. The record for two is absolutely great. You can wish which dishes from the menu should be represented there and it is more than enough. With the great basmati and the homemade naan (that alone is an experience), nothing is left to be desired. 🍀

We were recommended by friends. Arrive at restaurant and they were very busy and we were not aware that a reservation is required. However the friendly manager and staff made a plan to accommodate us. Few min after being seated we received complimentary papadam and chutneys to nibble. We then had tomato soup & vegetables samoosas wasserved withsakads topped with chast masala as starter which was really good and we received it with 10min.. We then order jeenga masala 🔥 with garlic naan & chef special with butter naan & it came with rice.. this took a bit longer than expected but was worth the wait. We ordered passion fruit lassi , flavour was good however we are used to nice thick lassi this was thin consistency. The ambience and vibe was good just loved the Indian music reminded me of my home country. Bathrooms was tops nice and clean and fresh. I highly recommend it and will definitely be visiting again.

Went spontaneously today without a reservation because we were traveling in Oberhausen. We got a place for 2 hours despite Saturday. Order for 2 people: 1x starter, 2x main courses, no dessert (lack of time) Pros: Nice waiters delicious appetizer Quiet ambience Cons: Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food (40 minutes) Conclusion: it was nice, but you don't have to go there again.

The only disadvantage is that you have to reserve a table, otherwise it would be so full that you wouldn't be able to get a seat.

The reception was very bad. We were greeted by a waiter who was very unfriendly and hardly understood anything. Not possible: No response to the reservation request via the form on the homepage. Then we went there based on luck. There was a note on the door: “We do not sell alcohol” - there was no mention of this on the homepage. I can't understand the good reviews given these conditions.

Very interesting experience. Friendly staff. Preparing the food took a while, but it was on the menu, but it was fresh. So fresh that it still made noises when it came to us (it was still simmering). The food was delicious. I found the atmosphere very nice, you felt very comfortable.

So we went today for our wedding anniversary dinner there. The food was ok.In palak paneer they used Rahmspinat n put paneer inside which was horrible. In the karahi they used Lot of onion which made the karahi sweet. Personal was friendly and ambience was good.But…. Due to our kid we could not complete our dinner n asked them to kindly pack our food. We asked them to pack 3 Naans n two Gajar ka halwa as well. When we came home we got instead of 3 , 1.5 naan n instead of 2 portions of halwas just one. The halwa was also not good. We checked the bill n they charged us for those 3 naans n 2 portions of halwa n one extra drink as well. We were so disappointed. I mean how much profit u have earned from this dishonesty. U just lost a family who could be ur potential customer.

Lovely Lamb Vindaloo, very very tender. Asked the fire exti guisher with this, Raita Joghurt, which is the perfect complement. Almost passend the 'no sweat Challenge"!!! Superb experience team!!

Were there yesterday with friends (4 people in total) at 7 p.m. and the restaurant was very well attended. Since we had reserved in advance, we were quickly assigned our place...then we had to WAIT...somehow the entire (friendly) staff seemed to be completely uncoordinated. After about 20-25 minutes, a waiter (by chance?!) came to our table and picked up the drinks, which were then brought to us about 10 minutes later. We still hadn't seen the menu, but another waitress brought it to us after a delay of about 5 minutes... in between, another waitress just dropped by, but she will never appear in this story again. Somehow the entire service was simply mercilessly overwhelmed. In between (around 8 p.m.) we got a (quasi) starter (4 large chips with 3 small dips), which were then eaten relatively quickly... I can't quite keep track of the timing in this mess, but at some point we placed our order, which was at our table around 9 p.m. We had a platter for 2 people for €44.99...in the end you can't complain too much given the price, but one of the small bowls contained a yogurt dip and another contained frozen creamed spinach with 3 pieces of feta (?!) ...some of the meat was a bit drier and we expected a lot more oomph and a taste explosion from the sauces...somehow it all seemed very "ordinary". The food was nicely presented and overall OK, but nothing that would make me come back again. In the entire time (3 1/2 hours!!!) we were NOT asked ANOTHER TIME for drinks or if we wanted dessert (it would probably have been too late for that anyway!!!)...even the bill had to be paid we asked for closing time and in the end even that didn't bother anyone and we could have left the restaurant without paying... very strange... it almost seemed as if the service wanted to avoid any further contact with us... Conclusion: It was still a nice evening because we had a good chat with our friends and we are generally very relaxed and patient people who can overlook shortcomings, but the performance didn't actually take place in the service area...the food It was ok, nicely presented, but really nothing that would encourage me to come back... P.S. The ambience had a certain pub charm to me, as if the entire interior had been taken over and a few Indian accessories had been added...

The two of us enjoyed a mixed starter plate, followed by Chicken Tikka Masala as the main course. The food was excellent, we were particularly impressed with the tomato sauce in the Chicken Tikka Masala. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting and lovingly designed. Unfortunately we had to remind the staff several times to bring our drinks, which was a bit annoying. However, parking was a challenge.

Ich bin kein Mensch der gerne scharf isst aber hier hat man eine angenehme Schärfe gehabt, man konnte das essen schmecken, ohne gegen zu heftige Schärfe kämpfen zu müssen Einziger Manko, das Restaurant war nicht stark besucht und wir wurden direkt neben dem Eingang platziert, es war ziemlich eng, leider. Aber sonst sehr zu empfehlen, Service ist nett und zuvorkommend und unserer Tochter wurde mit Schokolade die doch sehr lange Wartezeit verkürzt. !!!Lange Wartezeit, weil sie alles frisch zubereiten!!! Also man sollte schon Zeit haben. Wir kommen definitiv wieder aber bitte dann einen anderen Tisch ;)

Das Essen war sehr lecker, es war sehr voll und die jungen Männer haben sich bemüht, so schnell wie möglich zu arbeiten. Aber durch viele Abholungen stagnierte es immer wieder. Und das war auch das Ungemütliche. Wir saßen im vorderen Bereich des Lokals und hatten ständig Leute vor unserem Tisch stehen, die auf ihre Essensbestellungen gewartet haben, um sie abzuholen. Da alles frisch gemacht wird, muss man sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass man Zeit braucht. ( Zudem gibt es auch noch einen Lieferservice) Alles in allem aber, vom Geschmack her sehr gut.
