A culinary journey to Pakistan and India - A real taste experience in the Khan Ji Restaurant I had the pleasure of visiting Khan Ji Restaurant and loved it from start to finish! The ambience is inviting and authentic, with loving decoration that immediately creates a warm atmosphere. The food was a real highlight! The dishes are freshly prepared, wonderfully seasoned and perfectly balanced. I was particularly impressed by the juicy chicken tikka, the aromatic biryani and the wonderfully creamy curries. The vegetarian options are also highly recommended – the Dal Tadka was simply delicious! The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The staff took the time to make recommendations and respond to individual requests. If you love or want to discover real Pakistani-Indian cuisine, you've come to the right place! I will definitely be back and can highly recommend Khan Ji Restaurant.

This restaurant is a Pakistani restaurant and not an Indian one, it is passable but having quite extensive experience with Indian dishes, it is not up to standard with traditional Hindu dishes, I took a fish dish and unfortunately the taste was poor. was really not there is the sauce too thick with unnatural chili we left without finishing our dishes it's more of a fast food than a restaurant, I'm not a person who criticizes easily but you can do better.

Beautiful, delicious and clean food

Khan Ji is and remains my absolute favorite restaurant. We have been regular customers since it opened and love the food. I attach great importance to quality, and you can taste it here. The food is freshly prepared, so there may be a long wait. All employees are nice and accommodating. The only thing that could be improved is the aquarium. I'm not a fan of aquariums in restaurants. I've never seen a species-appropriate aquarium in a restaurant.

If you like Indian & Pakistani food you should definitely eat here 🙏 Top restaurant, with attentive, unobtrusive staff; short waiting time, in a cozy atmosphere. What I particularly like is that no alcohol is served. The dishes are all recommended & 100% Halal. A small starter is offered and the food is freshly prepared. The prices are reasonable and not expensive at all. The green peppermint sauce for the starter is my absolute favorite 😉😍 (The entrance has a few steps).

Very cozy oriental, not loud, nice, courteous service, very good price-performance ratio, is also suitable for larger celebrations, food not too spicy.

A few weeks before Christmas I had ordered a table for two people for December 26th, which worked out well in that the reservation was confirmed quickly. However, when making the reservation I mentioned that I was coming with someone who had a walker because I wanted to know whether this would cause any problems in the premises. And if you have this clue (in this case the clue was for the restaurant) you can assume that one of the people is not good on foot. On the day of the table reservation, my companion was relatively easy to walk and since we were able to park virtually opposite the restaurant due to the holiday, we didn't have to rely on a walker, which was anything but a given. Unfortunately, our table was right at the back of the restaurant and we had to climb an additional staircase. I actually didn't think it was that good because the person I was accompanying me isn't usually that good on foot and it was just a stroke of luck that day. Now about the service, ambience and food... Service was good and attentive, the atmosphere is harmonious and cozy (although the music could have been a little more subtle in volume), the food was first-class, beautifully prepared, portions were large enough and very tasty. And the mango lassi is delicious to kneel down on. Conclusion: Except for a few little things, it was great and I would and will come back.

Different dishes taste surprisingly similar , little choice of side dishes or vegetables , just rice or bread and NO alcoholic beverages

I am a regular here and I can highly recommend the restaurant. The food is fresh and super delicious. The boss always tries to please everyone. The prices are absolutely justified and compare with other restaurants, even in my opinion cheap, especially lunch. A three-course menu for €15... You can get that at every chip shop, but here you get freshly cooked food and no fast food rubbish. I hope Kahnji stays with us for a long time! 👍👍👍

starters are good but mains i didn’t like the taste. Chilly chicken we ordered was super chewy. Daal makhni was not so good. In terms of Dessert, Gajar halwa was okay. i can say that the ambience is good. All brownie points to that.

I enjoyed the food in the cafe, especially the nan (bread). The menu said the dish wasn't spicy, but it still seemed a bit spicy to me. However, for spicy food lovers, it is perfect. By the way, the portions are huge, so even one portion is perfect for two people.

Super delicious Indian food. Butter Chicken was simply amazing! I can also highly recommend the Garlic Naan Bread! The waiters are great and always bring fresh bread and rice. In addition, attention is paid to hygiene and the plates are not touched directly but are brought with a tea towel 👍🏼

Quite an amazing find in the midst of oberhausen. Butter chicken and karahi paneer are a must have apart from the regular mango lassi which comes with a slice of ripe tasty mango. The service is friendly and great.

It is now very difficult to find a good Indian, but here you are in good hands. About the ambience: cozy, rustic and you immediately feel at home. For food: Fan_tas_tisch. I haven't eaten Indian food this good in a long, long time. We had the butter chicken and the tikka in the masalla sauce with fresh Nan bread and a portion of rice. Everything came hot in the pan and you shouldn't underestimate the portions. When it comes to taste at the highest level, no one has been able to keep up with that. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended. Everything is consistent. Unfortunately a point deducted from the B grade for a waiter. While my wife was still eating the salad, my plate was already being cleared away. The food can also be pre-ordered and taken away.

I assumed I was eating something vegetarian because I didn't think it was halal, even though the menu said halal. The best Indian food I've eaten so far. The location is very homely. You feel very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating. The menu is extensive and variable. A large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Price performance is unbeatable for the taste you get there. I have rarely eaten such tender chicken.

Update (9/14/24): Today everything was perfect, the food was wonderful and the service was quick and friendly despite the place being full. Rarely do you get as much paneer in paneer dishes as here 😋 Incredibly delicious food (you can specify the level of spiciness yourself so that no one has to suffer). The service is very friendly but a little overwhelmed (otherwise it would get full marks). But the quality of the food makes up for this 😉

Everything top and first class. I'm a picky eater and it's not easy to please. I've been raving about the food at Kahn Ji since my first visit, the lamb birjami was almost perfect. You can taste a variety of spices and herbs, the lamb is super tender and as a tip, take 2 Garlic Nan, halve them and distribute the lamb and rice equally. The combination is unbeatable. This location deserves all the praise I can give.

Wir waren zum Buffet Abend da. Das Essen war sehr vielfältig und auch die vegetarischen Speisen waren reichhaltig vorhanden. Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Lediglich das Ambiente könnte etwas Landestypischer sein. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indo-Pak cuisine. The ambiance is reminiscent of haveli-style seating in India, creating a traditional and welcoming atmosphere. All bread items were good, and I highly recommend the Mango Lassi, Shikanji-style fresh lime soda, and Chicken Kadhai. The biryani was a bit dry, though. The staff is friendly and open to customization, making it a great spot for vegetarians with a large selection available. Authentic taste, traditional ambiance, and perfect service!. The owner, Rizwan bhai, is always happy to help and ensure that the food taste is perfect and everything is served well.

We ordered a Thaali (veggy plate) for 2 people including a fish curry. - We waited over 1 hour for the food. - There were far fewer dishes (curries) on the Thaali than shown on the menu (costs €40). - 2 of the 5 curries were with the same cheese and 1 of them was creamed spinach from the discount store. - Fish Curry was also a very small quantity, even though we ordered for 2 people. - Then the rice was brought to us first and we waited again because the waiter forgot to bring the curries. + It still tasted good, but for the price and the waiting time, there was a different expectation. Conclusion: There are much better places with significantly lower prices and waiting times. My recommendation: First and foremost, better organize and coordinate service.
