This restaurant offers delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Every dish was flavorful, the staff were attentive, and the environment was clean and inviting. A wonderful place to dine and worth visiting again.

We visited for the first time today, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is quite cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. For our meal, we opted for the tahlí, a mixed platter where the restaurant presents various dishes in small portions. It was a great choice, as everything was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the dessert: the homemade gulab yarmun were simply delicious.

We ate here again after a long time. It was always our favorite Indian restaurant. But unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. The quality and taste have completely declined. My husband ordered without telling me where. When the food arrived, I was disappointed. I asked him several times where he had ordered. In the end, he told me, and I was just as disappointed as before. I hadn't expected that. It's a shame, but we won't be eating here again.

I was there for the first time today with my three men, husband, son and grandson and it won't be the last time. The four of us were very satisfied. The friendliness and the food were top notch.

Anyone who doesn't visit and enjoy this restaurant has only themselves to blame. It's simply fantastic! I was here for the second time today, and once again, it was worthy of 5 stars all around. The ambiance is very traditional and very cozy. Combined with the Indian music in the background, it was simply perfect. The staff were once again more than friendly, courteous, and attentive. The selection on the memory card is varied and extensive. Even as a vegetarian, there's a wide selection here. What's more, you can have your chosen dish prepared with different levels of spiciness. Everyone can enjoy it to their liking! Simply fantastic! Finally, I'd like to write something about the food itself. I've rarely eaten as well as I did here. As mentioned, this was my second time here, and no matter what we ordered and ate, whether it was an appetizer or a main course, it tasted fantastic. A flawless culinary delight of the highest order! Thank you so much for everything, and we will definitely be back. Oh yes, both times I was able to park easily in the restaurant's own parking spaces. But even if they were occupied, there are parking spaces everywhere in the area. See you next time!!!

It's a great restaurant. The waiters are very friendly and attentive, asking if you need anything else or if you're happy with everything. The food is amazing. You can taste the traditional spices in every dish. The meat is super tender, and you should see for yourself how delicious the sauces are. Very tasty food at affordable prices. Maharajas offers a good selection of dishes, from meat to vegetarian, mild to fiery hot. The service has always been very friendly and attentive, special requests are accommodated where possible, and there's a discount if you order by phone and pick up yourself (you can order via Lieferando, but it's more expensive). The restaurant is a former pub, with wooden beams and low ceilings. It has been redecorated to match the food, but it does have a slightly odd feel, which detracts from the ambiance. Unfortunately, parking is a bit limited, and with a few steps at the entrance, it's not wheelchair accessible. There's also a lunch menu with a small menu and a drink.

Authentic Indian food, just like in India – incredibly delicious! Everything is freshly prepared and served hot. You can even see that the staff is warm and attentive, and the seating is very comfortable. A solid 10 out of 10 for me.

Hello, yes, the restaurant needs renovation, BUT The food is so much better. A large selection, we're even convinced of it. The food is freshly cooked here. The service is super friendly, and they almost anticipate your every wish. We'd love to come back. It's great. All the food is available for takeaway. As a bonus, it's even cheaper. All in all, you feel more like a guest here. We'd love to come back.

We went there for the first time yesterday. Very authentic Indian food. Very tasty. The appetizer platter for two was very good, very large, and very tasty. The taste and service are highly recommended.

We're from Bavaria and stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant by chance. Everything was absolutely fantastic! Very attentive service, plentiful and delicious food! Freshly tapped, cold pilsner! You couldn't ask for more!

We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The menu offered a good selection. We chose different lamb dishes. Both were very tasty. They had two different spice levels: 2 and 3. My choice of 3 was very good, but could have been a bit spicier. My companion found spice level 2 sufficient. The meat was very tender and flavorful, the mushrooms were fresh, as was the spinach. The sauce was just right. The rice and naan bread were plentiful. The appetizer included three delicious dips with thin bread, roti, which was heavy to handle but delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not very busy, although the delivery service was busy. We liked the atmosphere. The value for money is also excellent. Our server, who was also the chef, was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it and will stop by again on my next visit to Oberhausen.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I had tomato soup with naan as a starter, both of which were delicious. For my main course, I had lamb curry (spicy level 2) with rice. The lamb was very tender yet juicy, the curry sauce was also incredibly good and still acceptable for my spicy tolerance (if you're not used to spicy food, I would recommend spicy level 1), and the rice as a side dish was also good. All the dishes arrived piping hot. The staff is also very friendly and prompt, so you get your ordered food/drink promptly. I will definitely come back and/or order from here in the future!

The food was truly delicious, no question – freshly prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, the positive impression was marred by an unpleasant experience: The lunch menu advertised an included drink, but instead, without question, the largest drink was automatically served. Only when paying, after asking, was it pointed out that it was not included in the menu price due to its size. I'm aware that some restaurants will serve the largest option if the menu item isn't specified – but not if a "free drink" is clearly advertised beforehand. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem transparent, but rather a scam to generate extra sales. Conclusion: Delicious food, but the lack of transparency regarding the drink unfortunately made it a disappointing visit. I won't be returning.

There's a wide selection of dishes: meat, vegetarian, vegan, and halal. We chose the Lamb Palak, Maharaja Special Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Chili Garlic Naan. We drank two Mango Lassis. You can choose your desired level of spiciness (four levels). There's nothing to complain about. The food was delicious, the portions generous. The staff was very friendly, attentive (without being intrusive!), and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully and lovingly decorated without appearing kitschy. It's located right at an intersection and has parking on both sides. However, free parking is also available on the adjacent streets.

We were in town with friends for a concert and had dinner at the restaurant beforehand. The service was super friendly and the food was really fresh and delicious. The garlic naan bread was very good. We'd be happy to go again.

We had the food delivered to our home. The mango chicken was tasty, but the sabji pakora looked more like using up leftovers and didn't really taste good either. This can definitely get better 😉
