Very disappointed because it hasn't been possible to reserve a table and redeem our voucher for months. After today's request, I was snidely told that (as always) everything was fully booked, that nothing had been picked up locally for two years and that the voucher could only be redeemed in Roetgen. It's a shame because we had a very good meal there a few times and were treated kindly. Unfortunately there was no sign of that today and we lost the voucher... not a nice finish in Merkstein

I went there for the lunch menu. I'd heard about the legendary Wiener Schnitzel online. The waitress was super friendly and gave us good advice. The schnitzel was truly unbelievably delicious. The best I've ever eaten. When we'd finished, we were asked if we wanted another schnitzel, which was included in the price. That was super nice and a great sustainability concept. Unfortunately, the schnitzel, like the one we had, is only available on its own for lunch during the week, which is a bit of a shame. It would be nice if it was available in the evening as well, as the set menus don't appeal to me that much.

Good food, gluten-free schnitzel is highly recommended. Unfortunately no gluten-free beer possible. Operation did not run completely smoothly. Beautifully located next to a park and zoo.

A great restaurant with a dedicated team who were very attentive and friendly. Overall we had a good time. Unfortunately, the food didn't completely impress us. The fried chicken was well breaded and fried, but had a very bland taste. The same applies to the real Wienerschnitzel, which was prepared with proper craftsmanship. But real butter and salt were missing. The onion roast was well fried, but also very mildly seasoned. But the sauce was very tasty and went perfectly with the beef. The side dishes were overall solid. However, the coleslaw with bacon and the potato salad were above average and were definitely homemade. The dessert was top notch, we had nothing to insist on. The portions are generally good and sufficient and the quality of some of the ingredients are above average. But overall we think the prices are a bit too expensive and not appropriate, as the food was not outstanding. So it will probably remain a rare visit for special occasions. We hope that you, as a special restaurant, will remain with the people of Duisburg for a long time.

Very nice ambiance with a great view. The rooftop terrace is highly recommended for the summer months, but the indoors are also very cozy with a fireplace. The food is delicious, with large portions, which is no longer a given these days. Attentive and friendly service. I'm a regular and I come back regularly.

The constant bad mood of the boss can no longer be tolerated. Most of the food is ready-made food from the metro, as you can see from the buckets behind the restaurant. If you can no longer do so due to illness, you should close. We are friends with a lot of Austrians who definitely have better behavior and are friendlier.

The main courses were really good, I would give them a straight B. However, the prices are absolutely excessive and do not correspond to the service offered. The bottom line is that the main courses are all 10 euros too expensive, that's what all of our colleagues in today's group also said. The Kaiserschmarrn was far too dry and too crumbly, which unfortunately has nothing to do with the original Kaiserschmarrn from Austria. The ambience is okay, but definitely nothing special for the price level. Therefore a good 3 stars, unfortunately it's not enough for more...
