Sal e Pepe has become our favorite Italian. The food is incredibly good (with great fish dishes in addition to the main menu) and the wine selection is also perfect for us. We enjoy the beautiful atmosphere there with very friendly, courteous service for whom 'everything is no problem'.

The food was okay, but we received our orders so differently that half of them were already finished when the rest didn't even have anything. The pinsas were also super sparsely topped… so two slices of eggplant on one eggplant pinsa is a bit ridiculous. The last order came so late that my father had to eat alone. So we won't be eating there again.

Endlich: Kulinarischer Geheimtipp in Hanau Hanau war stets und ist eine kulinarische Wüste. Auf den Geheimtipp meines Freundes Dr. Rudi Weber, der kenntnisreichste weltgewandte Gourmet, den ich kenne, wurde ich ans Ende der Steinheimer Ludwigstraße geschickt. Da sei ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Italiener, der der mit Blick auf Qualitäten von einem Koch, der in einer Sterneküche gelernt habe, hochwertige Küche zu für die Qualität vergleichbar mit Frankfurt moderaten Preisen großartige Küche biete. Und hochwertige italienische Weine, wie man sie in Rhein/Main so nicht nochmals findet. Nie gehört, kann also eigentlich nicht sein und an der Location ohnehin nicht. Aber wenn Rudi … Kurzum, wir haben es gewagt. Empfangen wurden wir von der herzlichen Mama, die noch Pizza Gebacken hat, bis der Sohn Sternekultur aus Frankfurt nach Steinheim ans Ende der Ludwigstraße (!) brachte. Ein erster Blick: Es keimte Hoffnung. Geschmackvoll wertige moderne Ausstattung. Die Karte sehr klein, schade. Doch halt, der freundliche Kellner, der seinen Job noch gelernt hat, schleppte eine Tafel mit Meckereien an, welche die Auswahl erschwerte. Und auf Nachfrage gab es weitere Ideen. Wer in Hanau (!), in Steinheim gar, vorzüglich in schönen Ambiente bei herzlichen professionellen Service speisen will, sollte die Vielzahl von Nepp-Läden in Frankfurt mal auslasen und das Romana versuchen. Es wäre unendlich schade, wenn der Laden an der zugegeben falschen Stelle auf eine Pizzeria zurückfallen muss. Wir kommen wieder.

This place was lovely and the staff was so nice. We had 3 hours to kill before our buss went and they were so nice to let us sit there🥰☺️

Food and service great, ambience is like it was 40 years ago. But otherwise great pizza

I have been eating there or picking up food for my sons and myself for five years. I haven't been disappointed there once, neither with the service nor with the quality.

Great food. The boss is an exceptional talent in his small kitchen. It's a shame that it's closing due to age.

For 35 years, with all the ups and downs, Enzo your restaurants have always been worth a visit for us. Today was probably our last visit with you and once again we were able to enjoy your heartfelt hospitality. Delicious food at a far too cheap price, family atmosphere, Enzo, you are leaving a painful gap in Nienburg! All the best for the future

I don't understand who did give this restaurant a 4 or 5 stars! My wourst experience in Germany during the years. Hotel Bachus recommended this restaurant as "The Best Steak in town" By the way, this restaurant reported me at Google for Slander because of my review!

We go there about every few weeks after training. Where can you still get food today for 10 to 13 euros for a really giant Italian pizza or a pasta dish? Here yes! If you want a higher-priced meat dish, this is also the right place for you. There are also free olives with ciabatta and usually a grappa at the end. The boss upholds the Italian tradition even though she is a local. Class!

So far it was OK, but the pizza wasn't Italian, which is a shame. Nevertheless, the funeral was well prepared and the service was OK too.

Pizzas are sensational, the other dishes I have had tended to be too salty
