Schlinken Keller in Bensheim

This is a wonderful rustic restaurant in the middle of Bensheim. The food is enjoyable accessible, and robust, with home cooked flair using local ingredients with rustic appeal and a truly local wine menu. The service is friendly and easy going. If you are just visiting Bensheim you will not go wrong if visit you Schlinkenkeller for lunch or Dinner.

I ate here with my parents and ordered penne with tomato sauce! The pasta was a bit overcooked (a bit mushy). The sauce was a bit oily, but the taste was delicious 😋 I ordered a regular Sprite! My parents said the exact same two words, and I was the only one who got the smallest size! The atmosphere is okay, but there are a lot of cars driving by when you're sitting outside!

Today, on Mother's Day, I went there for dinner with my parents. We ordered two rump steaks and one veal schnitzel. We started with a salad, but the dressing tasted fishy. My father and I then received a fresh salad with just vinegar and oil, which was fine. The rump steaks, ordered medium, arrived extremely rare, almost raw. The meat was also very tough and full of gristle. Because we had already exchanged the salad, my parents only mentioned at the end that it was completely unacceptable. My veal schnitzel was okay. When I asked for the bill, we were offered coffee or espresso, which we accepted. The service was adequate. Our conclusion: We used to eat well there. After today, we won't be going back.

I don't understand who did give this restaurant a 4 or 5 stars! My wourst experience in Germany during the years. Hotel Bachus recommended this restaurant as "The Best Steak in town" By the way, this restaurant reported me at Google for Slander because of my review!

Small, cozy, with delicious food and very friendly staff. Rather unassuming from the outside, the tables inside are small and cozy. It's not cheap, but the food is definitely worth the price. The soups are very generous and taste very good. We've been here several times and will definitely return several times.

We had our Christmas party at the restaurant. Unfortunately, we lost points because we couldn't all sit together. I found the food very tasty and nicely presented. The service was okay.

The food was very tasty and the portions were more than sufficient. The outdoor dining is also appealing. Can only be recommended!!!!

Small Italian restaurant on the edge of the city center. Indoor and outdoor catering. Menu where everyone can find what they are looking for. Had the best pizza Frutti di Mare ever. Lavishly topped with everything from Neptune's realm. Service attentive. There was a small propeller to keep out annoying flies and from then on the enjoyment was almost undisturbed. Gladly again.

The restaurant would be recommended if the food was tasty. Had two pizzas. Both were absolutely tasteless. The dough was light and “fluffy” but completely without salt. We objected to what we were given oregano and spicy oil. However, this means that you no longer get the missing flavor into the pizza. It's a shame, because the dough would have been really good. We would have been happy if the staff had shown a little more “reaction” to the complaint and that at significantly higher prices for the pizzas.

My aunt and mother brought me a pizza from there. Pizza was small, absolutely overpriced in my opinion. €17.50 for a small pizza that tastes like the typical Lieferando pizza is not appropriate. Never again, a complete waste of money (the pizzas there) I can't judge the service or ambience.

Personally, I think it's a bit pricey, but since you don't eat out every day, you can definitely treat yourself to it. It's super delicious, I can especially recommend the salmon! Of course I haven't tried all of the dishes yet, but the ones with fish are highly recommended. I would love to come back!

Super netter Italiener, tolle Außengastronomie im Sommer. Ich liebe besonders den Lachs hier!

Besonders lecker finden wir hier die Gerichte mit Fisch und Meeresfrüchten, die Pizza und (für Nerds wie uns;) die Kalbsnieren- und die Leber. Man sitzt wie in Italien beim „Spritz“ und freut sich des Lebens.:)

Leider fehlten die Pizza typischen Gewürze, der Fisch war ausgezeichnet

Wir waren vier Erwachsene und vier Kinder. Pizzen, Lasagne und Nudeln waren super. Auf die Wünsche der Kinder wurde sehr familienfreundlich eingegangen. Das Ambiente ist klassisch italienisch. Alles in allem Top!

Steaks gut, aber ich mag keine Blutwurst 🩸 🚫

Rumpsteak auf den Punkt, die frischen Steinpilze, knusprig gebratenen Bratkartoffeln und der Beilagensalat mit exzellentem Dressing haben den Abend sehr gut eingerahmt. Service etwas zurückhaltend, da muss man schon etwas offensiver sein um stets mit Getränken versorgt zu sein.

Das Essen war lecker. Die Pizza war sehr sehr gut. Jägerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat mit Putenstreifen wurden auch am Tisch gegessen und als sehr gut bewertet. Die Bedienung war nett und präsent. Aber … Die Karte ist eher übersichtlich. Kein gezapftes Bier. Es wird nur Bargeld akzeptiert. Daher nur 4 Sterne.
