We had a great evening with the Mecklenburg Vorpommern owner.
Great guy
Great food
Stylish ambience
Reasonable prices
I can only recommend this restaurant and we will be back!
Catastrophe, nothing more remains to be said. We had ordered a table for 13 people 2 months in advance. The menu was agreed upon because, according to the boss, we couldn't eat ala carte. We got there 5 minutes late and were looking forward to a nice evening with the neighborhood. We had to wait 2 hours for our food and then it took another 11/2 hours until everything was served. The soup consisted of Maggie with a filling, the schnitzel as big as a slice of Lyonnaise, the medallion like a piece of sausage from a ring, vegetables half raw. A total of 3 drinks in 4 hours. Although we said directly that we were 2 people less due to bereavement, these two meals were also served to us and of course charged. And then the highlight: 38 euros per menu plus drinks, absolutely outrageous and totally overpriced. Sorry, you can't treat guests like that. The excuse of no staff, sorry then you are not allowed to accept a reservation. That has nothing to do with the poor quality of the food.
Gypsy schnitzel and pork neck were good portions. The schnitzel was extremely breaded. The fries need more salt. Salad same theme. Still great food. Would love to come back.
A home-style restaurant. Six of us received a very friendly welcome, and the service and staff were excellent. We were all very satisfied with our food and would definitely visit this restaurant again and recommend it to others. The photo shows the paprika schnitzel with fries and salad.
The bar has really great bartenders - friendly, professional and very knowledgeable at their craft. Every beer was perfectly prepared and the service was first class.
Unfortunately, the positive experience is greatly marred by the disappointing company policy. It seems like management doesn't value its employees, which creates an unpleasant atmosphere. That makes
difficult to fully enjoy the visit, even though the team behind the bar really does their best.
It's a shame that the potential of this place is being wasted by poor management.
A super nice, quaint spot in the city center of Trier, highly recommended.
The ambiance and atmosphere of the place immediately put you at ease.
Even more, there's a very detailed description of the menu.
"How to read the whiskey menu?"
Deserved 5 stars
The chef is hereby named a 5 star chef. (Super incredibly delicious food)
Edit: Unfortunately, the Schützenhof no longer exists, there is now a Chinese restaurant there that also serves exceptionally delicious food.
