Today, two of us were visiting Emden's city center as day visitors, specifically looking for a restaurant serving regional Nordic cuisine for dinner. We found Restaurant Welvaart. A small but fine restaurant with warm hosts who are very customer-friendly. Excellent cooking, a beautiful ambiance, and a pleasant atmosphere made for a perfect end to our day. We were lucky enough to arrive before 6 p.m. and get a seat even without a reservation. Apparently, reservations are recommended, though. Kudos to the entire team. We wish you continued success in the tough restaurant business.

A simply fantastic restaurant. The food has been excellent every time we've been! The service is very friendly and fast, even when the tables are full. The atmosphere by the harbor is simply wonderful. Everyone is also extremely dog-friendly, and my dog ​​has always been provided with fresh water on every visit. We'll be happy to come back!

€6.50 for a tiny baked roll with herring. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of taste...

We had a fish platter with three types of fish and fried potatoes, and a schnitzel with fried potatoes and beans in bacon. As other reviews have described, the fish was good, but the meat was bad. The schnitzel looked like pressed, molded meat and had no flavor. Opinions about the interior are also mixed... 3 stars overall for me.

I recommend the 0.5 liter tin roll to take away, I inhaled it right in the parking lot. The service is very reserved but not shy.
