crap opening times are not correct

First of all: A one-star rating here is clearly too high! On October 5th, 2024 (Saturday) we stopped at the “Kochlöffel” snack bar in Gießen/Seltersweg in the afternoon. When we walked in we immediately asked whether the “veggie burger” was vegetarian or vegan. The lady behind the counter said straight out that it was vegan. We asked again and this was confirmed again, whereupon we ordered and were seated. When the supposedly vegan burger came, we checked again whether it was completely vegan. Here the lady again pointed out that he was 100 percent vegan. When we opened it we saw something that looked extremely like mayonnaise, so we asked at the counter. This time, both people behind the counter picked up the mayonnaise bottle and read the ingredients intently. After the evaluation was complete, they explained that it was vegan and had no egg in it, whereupon we took the bottle out of their hands. Under the additives it said “EGGG YELLOW” in bold print. Disgusted by such incompetence or mendacity, we did not place another order for a vegan burger, but shortly afterwards it was delivered again, this time without mayonnaise, with the lady telling us that it was now completely vegan. Our suspicious question as to what binding agent would be used to hold the patty led us to the sign with the ingredients. When we read “Egg” clearly again, the disbelief and anger were at their peak. We eat out often, sometimes at a generally higher level, sometimes in takeaways. In our decades of life experience, we have never witnessed such a horrible appearance as the staff here portrayed and behaved. At Burger King and McDonald's you are guaranteed to have a much higher standard. Dealing with someone in the “Kochlöffel” snack bar who has decided to eat a certain way leaves you speechless. Just imagine if a Muslim had been treated in this way regarding pork, or even an allergy sufferer for whom it could be downright dangerous to come into contact with such staff. You definitely felt mistreated!

Just greasy food, not crispy, just gross. 18€ for such food. Never again

It's supposed to open at 10 a.m. Everything is still closed at 10:15 a.m. You might want to update the opening times so that you don't constantly find yourself in front of a locked door.

Good McDonalds close to the highway, staff OK, relatively clean. I got normal nuggets instead of spicy nuggets and the employee didn't apologize when they exchanged them and simply threw the old ones away (could they have offered us?) and handed them new ones without comment.
