McDonald's in Gießen

When we visited shortly after Christmas, we were very dissatisfied with the hygiene conditions. The floor and tables were very dirty and the faucet in the men's toilet didn't work.

Ordered a box of planted nuggets and received a box in which the planted nuggets were mixed with chicken nuggets. You can tell directly from the texture. Absolutely disgusting, the authorities should carry out an inspection here.

Totally dirty, tables and floors not cleaned, long waiting times... The staff is totally overwhelmed. Never again!

We stood for almost an hour to get a burger and fries. Mc Drive was served, inside there was no take away. Only after protests from other customers was service inside

Just ordered for €50. Nice staff, but unfortunately there was the wrong dressing on the wraps and 2 cheeseburgers were missing. Since the price has now been raised so much, it would be nice if you could get everything and not get a kind of “surprise bag” where you can see whether everything is really there or whether something has been forgotten (as usual). . Unfortunately not the first time this happened.

Every table there was dirty. Had to clean ours ourselves before eating. Disaster. The journey to Aßlar to MCS is worth it and is a thousand times better. Also lots of Talahons there spitting everywhere.

Incredible and resilient, an employee simply puts a handkerchief with snot in our bag (it was a McDrive) I will never come back! I had a Sprite and there was something black there then got a new Sprite then I smelled it and it didn't smell like Sprite!!!!

Food ice cold, new food received lukewarm. Forgot half of the order. Restaurant littered. Happy Meal toys no longer available. It's not possible to eat there without a jacket because of the cold.

Stopped today because I wanted to have breakfast. I ordered using the self-service machine. My God it was slow. Well, at some point I had everything and paid by card. It took forever until the payment process started. The product I ordered came suspiciously quickly. I knew why right away. It was still cold and the wrap was limp. Definitely never again. This is a rip-off to the power of 10.

Everything is made fresh and waiting times are reasonable. You can also order there via the new machine and pay directly by card. Edit: That was 7 years ago, things have gone downhill since then. Today my friend picked up an order, which is why I have to correct the review. The gentleman at the counter was extremely unfriendly, even though we had already ordered and paid online, he just had to hand out the bags. We checked whether everything was there and went home. When I got home I discovered that instead of a milkshake there was iced tea in the cup. The Curlyfries were in a small bag - no Monopoly stickers. The drinks didn't have stickers either, although you can get them in the restaurant. The McFlurry was also a joke - so little Oreo as if something had been accidentally put on it and the chocolate sauce was just barely visible at the bottom. I felt really cheated.

Just fast food. You shouldn't have high expectations. Prices are simply too high for what you get!

The gentleman at the Mc Drive counter was visibly annoyed by our order. Even though everything was written correctly on the receipt, instead of 2 spicy chicken nuggets we got 1 vegetarian one. Mayonnaise was also only one of 2 ordered. The fries were cold. It's no longer worth stopping there.

The restaurant is just dirty and the service is unsympathetic

Never received such a positive impression from a McDonalds. Clean, friendly and the staff have a good work ethic which makes the visit very pleasant. Keep it up!

Good McDonalds close to the highway, staff OK, relatively clean. I got normal nuggets instead of spicy nuggets and the employee didn't apologize when they exchanged them and simply threw the old ones away (could they have offered us?) and handed them new ones without comment.

I was extremely positively surprised by the friendly service. There were two men, one had a black cardigan on and the second I think was responsible for the drive in because he had headphones on. Hello, thank you, please and the tablet was taken from me when I left the drive in. Employees also took it from me. Why aren't there always such employees? I paid around 3:25 p.m.

A truly horrible McDonald's. Fries taste old and stale. Technology and furnishings broken, floor sticks and toilet is simply disgusting! Also more expensive than most other stores.

Broken by a burger for the first time in my life

WORST MC DONALDS EVER! DO NOT ORDER COFFEE!!!! I ordered a latte macchiato for €6.99, it only tasted like water and was way too hot! I burned myself!!! An older gentleman with glasses, short, old and corpulent with a bad mood refused to give me my money back! He produced the same broth again and what can I say, the first coffee was scary as if it was Halloween already 🎃 🎃 I also noticed how the employee was asked by one of the gentlemen whether the coffee machine wasn't working again... A few reviews below, customers with their own problem = coffee too hot and something is wrong! P.S. Order came with wrong contents by the way🤣 normal fries instead of lattice potatoes. At least they managed to get a chicken burger patty between two slices of bread without packing everything. Rest FAIL

You sometimes wait 15 minutes in the mcdrive even though there is only one car on board

We wanted to have breakfast. Among other things, we ordered two cappucinos. While we were waiting in the restaurant, we heard from the counter that something wasn't working and about changing things or getting our money back. I noticed that the coffee machine wasn't working. Customers at the machine were told not to order anything. So we waited forever. When the “cappucino” came I asked what it was. The employee played stupid. I explained to him what I had heard. He said that our order still worked. Yeah yeah. I then burned my tongue because the “cappucino” was so hot. It was just coffee with some milk. It wouldn't have been a problem if the situation had been explained to us straight away. But lying is not possible. I should have thrown that stuff in his face.

This McDonald's restaurant didn't look inviting, very gray and there was a huge puddle by the parking lot. It was pretty cool inside so I even left my jacket on. However, I found the play area for children good and the staff were extremely friendly. Thank you

One of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. There are four ordering terminals, but they respond so slowly to input that the ordering process takes forever. It takes half a minute from the moment you start paying by card until you can actually pay on the card reader. The employees all seem to be overwhelmed. ONE order gets ready every 3 to 5 minutes and new people keep coming. The tables and the floor look like crap because the staff is completely dedicated to taking orders. It was definitely my last visit there.

Ordered food via Lieferando… took ages! 2 chilli cheeseburgers Delivery incomplete! After several calls, I reached an incompetent employee who told me that a burger had been packed and one would be delivered later... then I reported again that two were missing and the employee was quite sure that he had packed one! Also lettuce dried out and delivery time took forever! The delivery person is sent out again to deliver the 2 burgers! However, I think it's a cheek to accuse a customer of fraud of €4.99!! If I were a district manager in this company, the employee could have packed his bag after such an incident of disrespect towards the customer and reported himself unemployed to the authority responsible for him next Monday! From my own personal experience today, I advise every future customer to avoid this branch! And rather eat next door at BurgerKing or KFC! You will be treated much friendlier there!

The food was as expected. Cleanliness of the tables not so good. During the time I was there, none of the staff went to clean the tables. The guests did this with their napkins and tissues. However, it was very crowded. But that shouldn't be a reason to skimp on cleanliness.

Not a nice McDonald's, everything seems a bit unclean, leftovers from the tables are not cleared away and not really cleaned. Control terminals do not function properly. Burgers didn't taste fresh either. At least the staff was nice and friendly.

By far the most disgusting store I've seen. Dirty is no longer possible, customers have to clean their tables themselves and that with few customers. Every Frankfurt train station toilet is as clean as the store. It's a shame that something like this isn't checked by the health department

The cola has tasted like water for weeks, the staff has no idea what their menus contain, nor do they know their products. The burgers are well below McDonald’s average.

After visiting the school education center (greetings to Mr. Schneider), I eat here with my homies every now and then. We like to be there and have extensive discussions about politics or have a few jokes with each other. The employees are smash as usual but their German language skills leave a lot to be desired. The floor sticks as usual in MC branches. We like to go to the toilet after dinner to applaud :).

If you come in with a wheelchair, the man kindly did that. An employee appeared and pointed towards the car counter, where a man waved. I was supposed to come in through a side entrance, but it was provided with a trash can and whatnot. I asked if he could just get me two cheeseburgers and gave him the money, which worked. But basically I feel unwelcome as a wheelchair user because I have to make myself noticeable somehow. Strollers and walkers all don't come in either. When asked why, because of Corona. Why is it closed outside because only those who have been tested are allowed to sit inside. Apparently they don't want customers to use this entrance, apparently too much for the employees, so they block out customers on wheels. It's really crazy, I've never seen this at any MC Donald, in Wetzlar you can go into any entrance to the MC Donald, even above the terrace. In Frankfurt the terraces are not cordoned off, they are also open and the MC Donald is freely accessible. To be honest, I've never seen anything checked in a McDonald's.

We waited almost an hour for our breakfast, at least it arrived lukewarm. Oh yes, the staff was also unreasonable and unfriendly.

Games corner is a disaster or non-existent except for one corner

The drinks were swapped and there were no straws. Food was mediocre.

Finally there is breakfast again at mcd. This mcd is clean and well maintained.

We ordered an MC Flurry with chocolate lentils and only got one with chocolate ice cream instead! I returned it at the counter & then I was told that we apparently ordered the wrong thing (but our bill says chocolate lentils) and not chocolate ice cream. On top of that, the chocolate ice cream I didn't order was taken away and I didn't get anything! Impudence!🤮

Went there for the first time today because my mother wanted to go to a Mc Café to get her beloved chocolate cake and since we were on the corner anyway it worked. But oh dear, there are no longer chocolate cakes, just cookies, muffins and donuts, why...? As a consolation we then ordered 2 menus, unfortunately the app hung again and one of the three terminals also had technical difficulties. There were only a few tables occupied, inside and outside. The tables weren't cleaned, apparently some people leave their feeding place worse than animals, sad thing like that. The staff was so friendly and delivered the ordered food within a few minutes. Everything was fine with that, I would have given it five points but unfortunately instead of chocolate shake there was vanilla, apparently mixed up. The salads now come in a cardboard box with wooden cutlery, the fork is rough after the second bite, the knives only have the name for formality. Unfortunately, the large tomato slices are not halved or quartered, which would make the "knife" unnecessary and could also make eating itself really easier. Both mine and my mother's salad mix had an extra thick ball of iceberg lettuce, but I don't know whether that was for freshness and crunch. The Big Tasty Bacon was fresh and top and the wrap was also good and freshly prepared. Now the downer: the women's toilet The smell of urine was even more disgusting than in an overloaded motorway parking lot toilet in the midday heat of summer. There was flooding at the sink, I can't really tell whether it was due to the mixer tap or people splashing around, but everything was wet. In summary, the visit was fine except for the points mentioned. Would I come again? Perhaps.

Bad service in world, no McDonalds

Unfortunately, we encountered an unpleasant situation. We ordered 20 chicken nuggets to take away and when we got home it was a shock... The nuggets were old and dry as rocks - a tragedy. Of course, we went there and got new ones... Guys, the food is so expensive!!!! check your takeaway food

Just a McDonald's, what do you expect?

Food was as good as it can be in a McDonald's. Fries were fresh & nuggets & burgers were ok too. What really bothered me was the lack of cleanliness there. The floor was smeared in the worst way, you had to be careful not to slip. Tables not wiped down, benches full of crumbs and grease fingerprints. I then wiped down our table and bench with disinfectant wipes. When you looked around, you could see that the general condition of the restaurant was rather dirty. Last but not least, I went to the toilet and felt like I was in the toilet at the main train station, it still smelled like urine, disgusting. & it wasn't clean at all, the doors were never wiped down the way they looked & the tiles too, everything was dirty. So for a restaurant where you still want to eat food, the McDonald's could be thoroughly cleaned. In the future it will remain the MC Drive. I'd rather eat in my clean car than put myself through this mess again.

Never again McD. Now completely overpriced and the quality is getting worse and worse. The large fries for 4.29 euros were the last thing I ate here or at McD. Large? Oh well. Is relative. In comparison to the cheaper fries in the city, it was less and tasted worse.

The order was wasted for the second time because something was missing again. The person answering the phone should never even work near a customer with such a disrespectful manner.

Food is as usual and expected when you go to McDonald's. Everything was fresh, just McDonald's. The toilets shocked me. No toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Endlessly dirty, rubbish on the floor. I wasn't even looked at during the day to be sure. Really disgusting

After football, we had lunch there with 4 people. BIC Nach was lukewarm. Tables and floor very dirty.

This branch is truly a prime example of the lower end of McDonalds. We ordered a PlantBased Burger and a large latte. The burger was okay, the latte was absolutely inedible. I had complained about the quality of the drink and was given a new (somewhat tolerable) one. The exasperated face of the taciturn employee added the rest to the overall impression. The branch is dirty, garbage bins are overflowing, disinfection stations are all empty. Overall not very inviting.

Disgusting shop. Already on the way to the door I heard guests getting upset. Walk in the door: the floor is sticky, leftover food is everywhere (on the floor, tables, chairs) and tray return stations are completely overcrowded. I order a McMenu with 6 pieces of Chicken McNuggets, a garden salad and a large fries and also a hamburger. First someone else's order is brought to the table, then mine. The fries and a fork for the salad were missing. The hamburger was cold and not very tasty. Never again!

Nothing can go wrong. McDonald's tastes the same everywhere. Standard are good. Service was quick.

worst mc stupid in the world, staff to be pitied

I'm just passing through here, but these were by far the best burger and fries I've eaten at a McDonalds. Fresh and juicy. One star less because the toilets weren't that clean and there was a smell

I used to be a very enthusiastic McDonalds visitor. It was always something special for me. But since the order was placed impersonally via an input terminal, I haven't taken another step.

The store was an absolute disaster Staff including branch manager unfriendly and aggressive as can be. Unable to take orders in person, it MUST be ordered at the machine which doesn't have the codes and you have to pay the full price. Cola should be without ice, they only get it the third time. Never this store again. Everything runs better and problem-free at Burger King. Above all, the app is 1000x better than McDonald's app 1 star for the store is way too much. Give the store a wide berth!!!!!

Stop Mc'Donalds, everything was great, only the app didn't work and the best

I was there early this morning because I wanted to have breakfast. Then the disillusionment: Apparently there is no breakfast there anymore. Nowadays you actually have to drive to Butzbach if you want to have breakfast at a McDonald's. What a shame!

We ate at this establishment today. Normally I like going to McDonalds but this place sucks! Not only was the food cold, but the entire shed had an almost Siberian temperature and smelled faintly of piss! A mouse also scurried across the floor, maybe I should have brought my cat with me, or better yet: health department! It's an absolute disgrace!

Unfortunately, the owners save money on the heating because you can only sit with a thick winter jacket, so we just never go there and it has become very expensive.

Katastrophe das ganze Essen. War mit Freundin und mit unseren Enkeln da. Mein Hamburger Royal TS hat [ im Dezember " nur") 5 Euro 40 gekostet. Der Belag war nicht viel besser als damals beim 1 Euro Cheesburger. Die Pommes ungewürzt und wabbelig, schmeckten nach altem Fett. Die Nuggets hab ich nicht probiert. Der Kaffee war so dünn als hätte eine Kaffeebohne in heiß Wasser gebadet. Hatte wirklich Durst aber die kleine PET Mineralflasche war so utopisch teuer, dass ich keine bestellte. Nie wieder!!!!!!! Der Mythos das fast food billig ist, ist halt ein MYTHOS........

Obwohl das Personal stets bemüht ist, viele Kunden zu bearbeiten, fehlt leider immer wieder bestelltes Essen. Es ist aber kein Problem, dies zu kommunizieren und man wird schnell versorgt.

Ein großes Lob an dieses toll ausgebildete und eingespielte Team, dass auch bei Hochbetrieb mit einer Präzision eines Schweizer Uhrwerks die Bestellungen abarbeiten und dennoch souverän und freundlich bleiben kann. Weiter so, Leute! Ihr seid erste Klasse!!! :)

Personal war ein wenig unfreundlich da sie der deutschen Sprache nicht richtig mächtig war und sie Hilfe holen musste.

Pommes waren nur lauwarm, obwohl viel los war. Uns wurde das essen auf den Tisch geknallt und es war sehr schmutzig überall. Die Lüftung hat nur kalte Luft in den Raum geblasen.

Essen war gut und heiß, hat etwas gedauert aber es war auch viel Betrieb. Die Tische waren alle sehr dreckig hätte man mal abwischen können aber ich glaube das ist mittlerweile bei jedem McDonalds so hygiene steht eher so an 2. oder 3. stelle... Werde das nächste mal nicht vor Ort essen.

Zum Zeitpunkt als wir dort waren, nicht ganz sauber. Es war aber auch viel los um die Mittagszeit.

McDonald's halt. Bigmac Burger usw Wegen meine Tochter zuliebe hier gewesen. Bin doch eher für die Konkurrenz alleine schon für meine andere Tochter. Bei der Konkurrenz schmeckt plant based besser. Absolut mies, Konkurrenz aber auch, finde ich das Mann in Winterkleidung essen muss. Beide haben die Heizung auf so Minimum gedreht das nur mit Jacke geht und das Essen sehr schnell kalt ist. Nix genießen, druckfuttern. Absolutes nogo

Ist ganz OK, für einen Maeckes. Gut sind die Parkplätze davor bzw daneben. Es auch ein McDrive! Und WLAN gibt es auch. Allerdings haben sich die Preise zwischenzeitlich praktisch verdoppelt! Dafür scheinen die Portionen etwas kleiner geworden zu sein...

Es ist erschreckend, wie sich dieser Laden entwickelt hat. Alles sehr unpersönlich, das Personal sehr unfreundlich. Die Toiletten eine einzige Katastrophe. Beim Essen hat sich scheinbar nichts verändert, allerdings wenn ich von den Toiletten Rückschlüsse auf die Küche ziehe, da vergeht mir dann doch der Appetit!!
