Very good lunch at a fair price

Amazing restaurant. We visit it every time we are in the area. Food is amazing, service as well. Any wishes will be taken care of with great attention. Absolutely kids friendly with high chairs, meals for kids, coloring pages, books etc.

Simply class. Lovingly prepared food, everything fresh. Very nice, friendly staff, would love to come back.

We were looking for a restaurant near Schleusingen that didn't close between 2 and 5 p.m. That's how we ended up at the "Blockhaus." Secluded, surrounded by forest and nature, we received a warm welcome in this quaint restaurant. If you, like us, enjoy a rustic ambiance, good German cuisine, and cheerful hosts, this is the place for you. The food (venison goulash with dumpling fries and a salad) was absolutely delicious, and the value for money is unbeatable. We will definitely come back here on our next visit to Schleusingen and are already looking forward to it.

Unfortunately only 1 star! The food has nothing to do with Italy. Bruschetta is smeared with cream cheese and liverwurst, for example. The 4 cheese pizza is enough to kill someone. A solid mass. In terms of taste, no taste at all. You have to specifically ask if you want your pizza dough cooked through, i.e. not white dough. The Parmesan bed is made of some kind of dough. It is not crispy and it doesn't taste of Parmesan. It's such a shame! 😢 We have been to different Italian regions so many times and to different Italian restaurants here in Germany too, but the food at your place really has nothing to do with Italy. I'm sorry.

The guys are cool and friendly. You feel welcome straight away. We usually eat kebab with veal, as we like the meat better, or falafel. Pizza dough has been all the rage lately. And yes, I have to agree with the other recessions. The quality had deteriorated a bit for a while but now it's good again. Great guys 👍 keep it up!

Very good host We went to winter games in Oberhof

Nice hotel with the wrong operator. We booked one night in a double room directly after making a telephone inquiry. The quiet location by the lake with a restaurant seemed ideal. On arrival: Everything is dark - no one on site. And then a sign: “Closed on Wednesday and Thursday”. Pressing the doorbell several times without any response. Then there is a phone number on a piece of paper that you should call if you arrive late (it wasn't even 6 p.m.). Then called there via cell phone, whereupon a lady from Oberhof (!!) answered and after the 3rd attempt released a key in a key box. Nice spacious and clean room with bathroom with shower. The windows can only be darkened slightly, so that the room was bright as day from 6 a.m. onwards. No bar, Not even a self-service refrigerator, just nothing!! The next morning there was actually a breakfast buffet, but there was still room for improvement in terms of selection and quality. But you get full. When booking there is no indication that Weds and Thurs are closed and the restaurant is not in operation. Can only be found on the homepage after a long search under the topic “restaurant”. When we later returned from an external restaurant visit, other guests were standing in front of the closed door, completely annoyed and perplexed or angry. Conclusion: It doesn't work that way - we won't be coming back anyway.

Nice cozy room. Very good Thuringian cuisine. Friendly, fresh, hot and tasty. Gladly again.

Worst kebab I've ever eaten. A few years ago, it was a good kebab shop in the area, but now there's nothing left.

Biggest scam shop. Forgot a chicken burger and a McChicken. It's only €9.59 Bottomless impudence. The one in Weiden i.d.OPf is much better. At least they get their job done. Dishonorable. EDIT: When I raised the matter the next day and showed the receipt, the forgotten food was given to me without hesitation. This is an honorable action and will also be included in this review.
