Sehr netter und freundlicher Service, leckere regionale Hausmannsküche. Wir sind auf einer Motorradtour dran vorbeigefahren und würden alle wieder dort essen. Vielen Dank!

Ein wunderschöner Abend, gutes Essen, nette Bedienung, jederzeit wieder

Die Gaststätte hat theoretisch Freitag bis Sonntag geöffnet. Samstag standen wir vor verschlossener Tür. Direkt am Haus kein Hinweis, erst unten im Ort stand es dran. Sonntag noch mal probiert. 2x Schnitzel 1x mit Ananas und Käse 1x au four mit Würzfleisch und Käse. Tja, optisch war es gut, geschmacklich waren weder die Bratkartoffeln noch die Schnitzel doll. Schnitzel sehr fest, Panade nicht fluffig , Bratkartoffeln sehr blass. Bedienung war sehr nett.

Eine Einkehr wie man es sich auf einer langen Wanderung wünscht - leckeres Essen, große Portionen zu günstigen Preisen und sehr sehr netter Service. Man ist auch mit Hund willkommen. Einfach top! Vielen Dank!

Seit über 30 Jahren testen wir schiedenste Restaurants in Thüringen nur wegen der Thüringer Klöße und Braten. Heute hat es dieses wunderschön gelegene Gasthaus auf Platz 1 geschafft. Das Essen war der Wahnsinn; das urige Gasthaus und die traumhafte Gegend haben alles vorherige übertroffen. Wir kommen wieder.

Eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre und sehr gutes Essen. Alles frisch zubereitet und kein Convenience Produkte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Blockhaus. Was soll ich sagen... Es war nicht das letzte Mal. Super und sympathischer Service, tolles Essen, faire Preis und ein Wirt, der sich noch um seine Gäste kümmert.

Danke für die Gastfreundschaft. Hatten keine Reservierung und wurden trotzdem noch untergebracht. Das Essen war super lecker und das zu fairen Preisen. Die Wegempfehlung samt Wegzeerung gab es obendrauf. Wir haben gut zurückgefunden. Vielen Dank nochmals, Otto!

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male hier und sind jedesmal begeistert! Deutsche Küche mit super Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Sehr nette Bewirtung und keine lange Wartezeit. Auf Sonderwünsche wird nicht nur eingegangen sondern auch Ideen eingebracht (Glutenfreies Essen). Ein Gastwirt der sich noch Zeit nimmt und zu jedem Tisch persönlich kommt. Die Aussicht ist grandios von dort oben aus. Hunde willkommen. Am Wochenende am besten reservieren, da sehr gut besucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Super Essen zum super Preis. Der Senior Chef ist ein echter Gastwirt der mit seinen Gästen plaudert und sich füralle Zeit nimmt. Das geht natürlich nur weil er ein super Team hinter sich hat! Man hat das Gefühl hier bin ich wirklich wilkommen.

Super friendly staff and home-style cooking, just like grandma used to make. Simply delicious, and you feel really comfortable in the rooms. The value for money is fantastic. The plate is full to the brim, the price is really reasonable, and when you taste it, you just think, WOW! We will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu in the lovely atmosphere ☺️ We had the schnitzel au four and venison goulash—simply divine.

There were three of us hikers who were looking forward to Thuringian food, but we were immediately disappointed when we entered. All the tables had "Reserved" written on them, so I asked if there was a free spot. "There's nothing left to eat, you can only have coffee and cake" was the reply. I got the impression that we looked too much like West Germans and that the guests were all East German pensioners, so we must have gotten lost. It's a shame because Otto the innkeeper was actually very nice. We stuck to a Coke and a 🍺. It's possible that the food at Otto Lecker is delicious, but unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it. PS: Other guests after us were served hot lunches!!

Cute cabin, as the weather wasn't great it was probably a little less busy than usual. But the service and the food were great, and we had nothing to complain about

We were looking for a restaurant near Schleusingen that didn't close between 2 and 5 p.m. That's how we ended up at the "Blockhaus." Secluded, surrounded by forest and nature, we received a warm welcome in this quaint restaurant. If you, like us, enjoy a rustic ambiance, good German cuisine, and cheerful hosts, this is the place for you. The food (venison goulash with dumpling fries and a salad) was absolutely delicious, and the value for money is unbeatable. We will definitely come back here on our next visit to Schleusingen and are already looking forward to it.

Somewhat hidden good restaurant with very friendly staff. The trout was really good, the Schnitzel au Four was delicious even if the schnitzel was a bit dry in my opinion. The portions are very lavish, in any case, something will become full. Ambiance is very quaint

Dear Blockhaus team, We are coming to you for the 102nd time (once a month) with at least 20 people. All participants are always very enthusiastic. This enthusiasm begins with the friendly and familiar welcome and continues with food and drink as well as nice conversations from the waitresses/innkeeper. Every guest always gets a quick snack with their meal and you really feel very at home here. In Idylle pu you can get everything from a single source, from a small bite to a nice portion of steak, schnitzel, or salad and even dessert. Here too you still get to talk to the innkeeper and he always has an open ear. You also have the opportunity to have your celebration organized in the log cabin, whether it's a round party, the youth consecration or a wedding - "with Otto and Yvonne" everything is possible. We as geocachers can only recommend this location. ***But another little note: If you plan to come in large groups (5 people or more), then call the log cabin and reserve a nice place. We say thank you and look forward to the next evenings at the bar.

A mountain hut as it should be, really rustic in a beautiful landscape. The food is very good, fresh, tasty, plentiful.

You get good food served with Thuringian flair. The original Thuringian monasteries, which only exist on Sundays, are the crowning glory. Hopefully this beautiful hut will stay with us for a long time.

Our hiking group had lunch in the log cabin today - after prior reservation - and we were completely satisfied: Great service, nice staff, delicious food and good value for money...what more could you want? We'd love to come back!

We have been guests at the Blockhaus every now and then for many years when we are in Thuringia from North Rhine-Westphalia. We always enjoy being here because everything is just right here. So this year I celebrated my 70th birthday here at Otto. As always, it was great and everyone enjoyed it here. The food was delicious, the staff was always friendly and accommodating. You feel welcome here, just like at home. Big praise to Otto and his daughter as well as to all the service employees. Keep it up and stay healthy. Kind regards from Annelie and Siggi from Dinslaken. We were invited to Otto's Blockhaus for his birthday on August 10th, 2024. We were also allowed to stay with our motorhome overnight. The food and service were great and we'll stop by when we're in the area again. Otto stay as you are, stay healthy, you're a bomb

Today we hiked from the holiday home in Hinternah to the log cabin. The food was very tasty and at very fair prices, the staff was very polite and accommodating. We definitely recommend you. Thank you for this lovely stay.

We took a Sunday trip to the Schleusinger area and spontaneously “landed” in the log cabin. We were surprised at the many cars and the many reserved tables, as it is "ONLY" an excursion restaurant on the mountain!!! 😉 Now we know why!😇👍 Super friendly staff from boss Otto to the service staff and kitchen staff (family business)...we got Nevertheless, since everything was occupied and reserved, there was still a place allocated at the regulars' table 🙏. The food is REALLY homemade home cooking, from sauerbraten and roulades to all types of salad on my menu "Farmer's salad", fast, attentive service and great atmosphere....We felt completely at home and would be happy to come back (but then with advance notice 😉) Thank you very much, keep it up 🍀

The location is in a great location and scores points, among other things, with a great view of the Thuringian Forest. The food is the best home cooking, tastes great and the portions are large. The staff is very friendly. The furnishings are very comfortable. Important to call and reserve before visiting. The log cabin is very popular and therefore well attended.

This was the lunch stop from our motorcycle meeting. Fair prices, good food, friendly staff and a fantastic location. I liked it and tasted it.

We always enjoy coming back. The world is still in order here and the food is simply delicious and very filling.

Eine sehr gute Waldgaststätte mit schmackhafter Hausmannskost. Mittags gibt es Thüringer Klöße und div. Braten sowie verschiedene Wildgerichte. An der Abendkarte gibt's auch nichts zu meckern. Die Preise sind für die großen Positionen sehr moderat. Öffnungszeiten sind Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag. Aufgrund der Beliebtheit sollte man vorher unbedingt anrufen. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich.
