I was in Wetzlar today for work and stayed overnight at the Hotel Wöllbacher Tor. I spontaneously wanted to have something to eat in the city in the evening and came across the Culinarik restaurant - and it was a wonderful surprise! The restaurant is small but very nice. From the outside it looks inconspicuous, but inside it impresses with a calming and stylish atmosphere. The service was warm and the quality of the food was excellent. A real insider tip in Wetzlar that I can only recommend to everyone!

At short notice we ate here instead of at the Christmas market. The ambience is rustic and fits the idea of ​​a “Ratsschänke”. Really nice with the gallery and view down. The service was very, very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The prices are completely reasonable for the location of the restaurant. The only thing we didn't like was that there was a second, already cut schnitzel underneath the cream schnitzel, which was completely hidden from the top one. A return from another guest hidden under the sauce? This is what you might think if you saw two whole schnitzels on other guests' plates. Especially since these schnitzels were not completely on top of each other, like ours. Maybe it was coincidence! But still strange compared to the others

Super nice mother and daughter in service. Small but nice menu with additional daily specials. Delicious. Reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back

We ate at the Waldhaus and were greeted in a less friendly manner. After we had chosen a table, we were asked about drinks and also about the food. We shared what we would like as a starter and as a main course. A friend wanted a starter as a main course. This wasn't possible, according to the waitress. She had to bring the appetizers together and she was told to “eat more slowly.” She ordered the baked feta with fresh oven-baked baguette, as it said on the menu and without honey. Because she has several allergies. The food came (all together starter and main course) and the waitress brought the feta (four mini rolls of dough) with honey. She was very surprised and asked if my friend could still eat it because it had been prepared incorrectly. So the operator knows it's wrong and brings it anyway? And everything is always not friendly at all. The food was now there, of course there was no oven baguette as it said on the menu. After we asked in a friendly manner, the answer was “no, that’s not part of it,” which was again very unfriendly. My food was supposed to be cleared away in front of my nose even though I was in the middle of eating. After our friend ordered a cocktail, she received it with a plastic straw that was chewed and had lipstick stuck to it. Even as we pointed out, people became increasingly rude to us instead of apologizing (as they should). You leave a lot of money there, service and friendliness are 0. And then the patio heater was turned off even though we were still eating, so it quickly got cold. After 30 minutes a gentleman came and turned it on again. It was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Ambiance is really nice, that's it.
