Ratsschänke in Wetzlar

"Pinsa" glutenfrei? war ein dünner - allenfalls Pizzateig rund, schon ziemlich verbrannt, völlig überteuert (20,50€)hatte schon glutenfreie Pinsa in anderen Lokalen, eine glutenfreie Pinsa zeichnet sich durch ihre ovale Form und den extrem knusprigen, luftigen Teig aus. Das was da überteuert serviert wurde war definiv keine Pinsa!

Authentisch, herzlich, köstlich. Exzellenter Service, moderate Preise, einzigartige Architektur und Inneneinrichtung. Hier kann man nichts falsch machen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, wenn man in der Altstadt ist.

Sehr gutes Essen, tolle Bedienung und uriges Ambiente. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Vorspeise und Salate waren Super. Das Schnitzel leider TK, und hatte kaum Geschmack. Daher stimmt für mich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

Eben dort gewesen. Bemerkenswertes Ambiente, tolles Team (Chef kommt aus Kalabrien). Stimmung sehr freundlich. Essen lecker. Empfehlenswert. Reservierung empfohlen.

Meine Frau hatte einen Antipasti-Teller und ich einen Hackbraten mit Gemüse... Beide Teller waren der Hammer... So viel Geschmack 😃, einfach unglaublich 😋😋 Hier gibt es (unsere) uneingeschränkte Empfehlung ‼️👍

Geschmacklich ok, allerdings handwerkliche Fehler in der Ausführung. Der Nachtisch war nicht durchgehend warm (warmes Bratapfelküchlein) Wurde, weil unten warm, oben kühlschrsnk kalt, reklamiert. Anschließend kam eine gleiche Lieferung. Unten warm, oben Kühlschrankkalt. Anschließend hatten wir keine Lust mehr auf eine weitere Reklamation, haben es nur noch beim Personal angemerkt. Zwar wurde ein "Getränk" aufs Haus kredenzt...allerdings befriedigt dieses ja nun nicht wirklich. 8.50€ für einen "Fail"

Das Ambiente ist oben schöner als unten. Essen stand schon innerhalb von 10 min auf dem Tisch. Es war wenig bis gar nicht gewürzt. Man konnte satt werden. Der Teller meines Mannes wurde abgeräumt, während er noch kaute. Es kam auch direkt die Frage nach Nachtisch. Da mein Teller noch nicht leer war, hab ich ihn vorsichtshalber fest gehalten. Wenn man es eilig hat, kann ich die Ratsschänke empfehlen

Uriges Ambiente mitten in der Altstadt. Beeindruckendes altes Gebäude, besonders im 1.OG. Freundlicher Empfang. Essen kommt (zu) schnell, so dass man kaum in Ruhe seine ersten Schlücke getrunken hat… Leider dann sehr ungewürzt und ziemlich lieblos präsentiert. Der Teller wird einem weggenommen während man noch kaut und die Partnerin noch 1/3 auf dem Teller hat. Somit keine Gefahr des langen Verweilens / Versackens Kein absoluter Reinfall, aber ich würde hier auch nicht nochmal einkehren.

Essen hervorragend, Service hervorragend, Ambiente sehr gemütlich. Gerne wieder.

Sie bieten traditionelle deutsche Küche und regionale Spezialitäten an. Natürlich gibt es auch ein Glas deutsches Bier (leider keine regionalen Spezialitäten). Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung versetzen Sie um Jahrhunderte zurück. Es gibt ein Erdgeschoss und ein Obergeschoss, um weitere Gäste unterzubringen.

Essen und Service Prima, wir waren zum ersten Mal da und waren super zufrieden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen 😊. Die Räumlichkeiten sind echt schön. Für den Sommer gibt es auch draußen einige Tische 👌🏼

Der Gastraum ist urig eingerichtet, etwas eng möbliert aber wir mögen das. Die Schnitzel kamen aus dem Tiefkühler und waren sehr schwach gewürzt. Der Rest war gut und frisch zubereitet. Der Service war etwas übereifrig und hat einem kaum Zeit zum Wählen und für die Vorspeise gelassen. Anschließend mussten wir zum zahlen wiederum recht lange warten.

Die beste glutenfreie Pinsa die ich je gegessen habe. Habe sogar zwei verputzt.😋😋😋

Altweiberfastnacht war es sehr ruhig in der Altstadt, wir waren spät dran und die Ratsschränke wollte eigentlich eher schließen. Daraus wurde nichts, wir wurden herzlich empfangen und sind in den Genuss der köstlichen Pinsas gekommen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Toller Service, herzlichen Dank!

Ich hatte hier einen Hackbraten mit Bratkartoffeln. Kann nichts bemängeln, komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Montagabend in der Ratsschänke. Das Ambiente in diesem historischen Fachwerkhaus ist klasse. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und haben sehr lecker gegessen und getrunken! Gerne einmal wieder!!

Schöne kleine Gaststätte. Essen war top gewesen und die Servicekräfte waren schnell und freundlich. Das Ambiente ist auch sehenswert.

Leckeres Silvestermenü und sehr aufmerksamer Service

kurzurlaub wetzlar, ratschänke ausgesucht fürs silvesterabendessen mit freundin, bitte tisch vorbestellen, sonst geht ihr evtl. leer aus, sehr gut besucht, tolles ambiente in der altstadt, uriges gebäude, top service sowie super qualität aus der küche, auch kleine saisonkarte, im sommer auch draussen besuchbar, eine hiesige brauerei sollte eigentlich das bier liefern, es gab was aus bayern und aus der eifel, fazit - das gesamtpaket hat gepasst und läd zum wiederholen ein. grossen dank an die ganze bewirtungs-gäng.

Aufgrund vieler geschlossener Gastronomie dort eingekehrt. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, Essen war lecker, aber es fehlte Liebe und der letzte Pfiff. Da ginge mehr. Es müsste unbedingt überall mal abgestaubt werden und leisere Musik wäre besser in dem eigentlich sehr schönen Ambiente.

Die gebratenen Drillinge waren sehr gut! Aber wieso nehmt ihr ferig TK Schnitzel? Das ist in so einem Ambiente ein No Go! Das Restaurant strahlt Stil aus, aber wenn das Essen kommt ist man absolut enttäuscht. Wir kommrn nie wieder!

Wir waren dort mit etwa 10 Leuten essen und alle die Pinsa mit Lachs hatten, hatten einen Tag später mit Übelkeit und Erbrechen zu tun.

At first glance, it's an old but charming restaurant. Unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the ambiance. It looks nicely presented, but that's about it. For over €20, you'd expect hand-pounded schnitzel, not frozen food. The side dishes tasted like ready-made meals that had just been thrown in a pan – unacceptable. The staff, however, are very friendly. All in all, it was a disappointing lunch with a lovely view.

We spontaneously stopped by without a reservation on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was very busy, apparently with locals, but we were lucky and managed to get a very nice table. The service was very friendly and attentive. Gluten-free dishes were no problem. All the pinsas on the menu are available gluten-free, and they even prepared a gluten-free dish for my daughter without any problems. And I was happy to get "green sauce" and apple wine again. :)

Great, cozy inn. The food is very good. I think you could describe it as upscale, home-style with Mediterranean influences. The prices were perfectly reasonable. The service was very friendly and quick.

What a great place! We paid 30 euros per person for a plate and a large beer, with a salad. When you order, they offer you a salad, but it's not free, just 6 euros. You have to go! The food is good, the place is amazing, the atmosphere, everything.

After a long walk, we stopped at the Ratsschänke. We received a friendly welcome and were served quickly. The food was excellent, traditional German.

One of the best restaurants in Wetzlar. I love going there for special occasions. The service is very polite, and the food is well worth the price! It's prepared with a lot of love and effort. The location looks fabulous; I would highly recommend it for dates, for example, as it's very romantic and has a great atmosphere. I hope it stays that way. Keep it up! ☺️👌🏻

We had a fantastic evening... with great food, extremely attentive service, and a host who is second to none. Please, more of such excellent cuisine. We'd be happy to return anytime...

The schnitzel and fried potatoes are delicious, and the portions are generous. The price is reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Wetzlar.

A Wetzlar original! We ate here for the first time. Very friendly staff with a good understanding of service. The food is authentic and prompt. The ambiance is authentic in the old half-timbered building. Located in Wetzlar's old town, with an outdoor area and a view of the cathedral – we'd love to come back.

...everything was empty...about 14 tables empty...inside and out... The first thing they asked...did you have a reservation?? No "good evening" or "how can I do something nice for you?"... Service calls for six.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is rustic and very cozy. The menu offered a good selection of regional dishes. The prices weren't exactly cheap, but still OK. My dish, a meatloaf with fried potatoes, was good. We were here with a group of about 20 people, and everyone enjoyed the food. Shortly before I was picked up, I was offered a free wheat beer, which was mistakenly tapped.

It was very nice, the service was prompt, and my salad was good. Well, just a salad. The others in my group weren't 100% impressed with their dishes (few potatoes in the green sauce, no fresh schnitzel).

We enter the inn, and I immediately sense a special atmosphere—coziness. I'm met by friendly, unobtrusive staff. During the short wait for the food, I'm "busy" taking in the special features of the restaurant. The food arrives—lovingly prepared, on special plates, and at the perfect temperature. I had a delicious Adria schnitzel. The service was excellent, as was the ambiance. The house white wine was also fantastic; everything was excellent all around and I definitely recommend it.

Attention ! Its not Indian food at all. The chicken and beef on the curry is just minced, not even small pieces and full of water and uncooked masalas. Cook is not indian at all. Its more like arabic food instead Indian. Worst taste & Waste of Money. Will never recommend.

Absolutely 5 stars! 6 if possible! The food is fabulous. The beer is delicious! The price is completely reasonable: two half-liters and a Jägerschnitzel for €32! The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fantastic. If I lived within a 1-1.5 hour radius, the trip would definitely be worth it! I'd go back anytime! You know what I mean?

Unfortunately, our visit wasn't convincing. The schnitzel looked like it had come straight from a deep fryer, and certain parts of the dish were only lukewarm. The microwave in the background also reinforced the impression that the food wasn't freshly cooked. When I honestly expressed that I didn't like the food, my criticism was immediately dismissed – I was told I was the first person to complain about such a thing and that everything was fresh. A constructive approach to feedback looks different. In addition, the service staff seemed under the weather and didn't handle the food very hygienically. Overall, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.
