A fantastic restaurant with a lovely beer garden... Simple but super fresh menu and very friendly staff... Great with kids, too, as there's a small playground where you can easily see the kids from the table... We love eating there and then taking a stroll... 👍👍👍😀😀😀💖💖💖

We got a table for four people without having to reserve...the waitress was very friendly and helpful...our order arrived quickly...We had waffles with cherries and ice cream...they were delicious...in any case, this wasn't our last visit; we'll be back.

We spent a whole day hiking in the Wetzlar area and, with hungry stomachs, wanted to have something to eat in a nice beer garden somewhere. The first one we selected with Google and then navigated to turned out to be more of a lost place. Then Google recommended the Gaststätte zum Kirschenwäldchen (Cherry Woods Restaurant). So, we drove 8 km further. That was a very good recommendation. A large, lovely beer garden with hot food served all day. We arrived around 4:00 PM, and all the tables were already occupied or reserved. We were offered a table until 6:00 PM... two hours should be plenty for us. Our order and drinks came quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the exceptionally delicious food. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. It was also nice that we were informed at some point that we could stay longer, as they had "changed our plans." The only minor criticism: The "Aperol Spritz" cocktails we ordered after dinner weren't that great. There were far too few ice cubes, and the mixing ratio was also incorrect. Please practice again. But the Kirschengarten is a beer garden, not an Aperol garden. Nevertheless, the overall package is very harmonious. A feel-good beer garden with excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommended!

After a long absence, we rediscovered the cherry grove—after a Sunday morning hike around or over the Stoppelberg, the restaurant is the ideal destination. Fast and friendly service and delicious food in the beer garden or inside create a holiday feeling.

We love coming here. Whether for coffee with the delicious cakes and waffles or for dinner. We were able to get a seat without a reservation, despite having a confirmation, and enjoy a delicious meal. The service was, as always, very friendly and quick, and they even asked if everything was OK or if there was anything missing. We were also served after our meal. That's not always the case. A lovely little restaurant in a beautifully decorated half-timbered house. At Easter, we sat in the beer garden, which is also always worth a visit. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Very nice restaurant, flexible table reservations. Today, the outdoor area was fully booked. Requested side dishes can be ordered separately from the kitchen, not from the PA. Great schnitzel, salad with turkey strips.

The portions are good, the prices are perfectly reasonable and the service is on point. The schnitzel was quite dry and slightly black, but that was probably due to the size of our group. The fries are nice and salty. The cheese in the hess. Cordon Bleu takes some getting used to. Anyone who doesn't know it will probably be better off with the normal one.

Absolutely recommended! 👍The food was super delicious 😋 whether it was rump steak, cordon bleu with hand cheese, Duroc pork chop, onion roast, celery schnitzel or the classic hunter schnitzel. Of course I forgot to take a photo again - but an empty plate is also meaningful 🤣 The waffles with coffee and cappuccino were also very good. Very attentive and friendly staff👍 ..... even the “quiet little place” is worth a visit.🤭 We'll definitely be back!

A very pleasant restaurant, top service etc

We had dinner here with the family. Seven adults and three children. The service is very professionally organized and super friendly. You don't have to wait long here. The food was served after about 15 to 20 minutes. Very important: at the same time for everyone and on hot plates. The service is very attentive and constantly keeps an eye on whether there are any drinks missing. So replenishment is no problem. So I wish you a nice evening with the family. A very nice restaurant with its own flair

Afternoon coffee with a tour group from Schladming in the Kirschenwaeldchen recreation area. It was great. Good service, civil atmosphere, civil prices, recommended at any time. Gladly again.

Unfortunately, when we visited today, they were painting, so the windows were stuck on the outside. The access to our adjoining room is via the normal guest room, where the windows were also glued, but at least the entrance door to the outside was open so that a little air could come in. But it wasn't enough to get into the next room; it was pretty stuffy for about 30 people. Unfortunately everything in the garden was wet.

Classic restaurant with a solid offering and a wonderful beer garden

Super tasty Jägerschnitzel with fries at an acceptable price. Unfortunately a salad was missing, you could have ordered it separately but noticed it too late and missed it on the menu. The ambience is great in this beautiful weather, sitting outside under the trees can hardly be better in Wetzlar.

We were invited to a birthday and were able to enjoy a menu. The atmosphere is cute, the playground in front of the door is a great place for the children and the beer garden is really cozy. We were very satisfied with the food and drinks. The service was not at its best that day, it took a very long time for food to be taken and drinks to come to the table (we had to ask twice where the wine spritzer was) But the food was delicious and the cake was also very delicious.

If you like it rustic, you will feel very comfortable there. We found it too easy for these prices. Paprika schnitzel with fries 16.90 without salad is quite expensive. With a small side salad 4.60 on the side🙈 The sauce tasted like refined ready-made sauce to us. In the summer it's great to sit in the beer garden but we didn't like it.

Wir waren 9 Personen . Essen wurde superschnell serviert (Lokal war voll) wir hatten alle zusammen unsere Bestellung. Und das Beste: das Essen war super super lecker. Unbedingt anmelden sonst hat man keine Chance .

Ich liebe es. Wenn es eine Kneipe wäre, wäre es unser Stammtisch. Leckere, deftige und regionale Küche, toller Chef, nettes Personal, geht auch gerne auf Extrawünsche ein (z. B. Wedges statt Pommes) und es geht meist recht zügig. Empfehlung. Einrichtung Holz rustikal, ist nicht für jeden was, für uns passt es.

Alles okay. Wenn der Kartoffelsalat selbst gemacht wäre würde ich 5 Sterne geben.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Service wirkte teilweise etwas überfordert und kam nicht hinterher (20 min bis wir Nachtisch bestellen konnten). Service aber sehr bemüht und freundlich. Essen sehr lecker auch wenn ich es als etwas wenig Beilage empfand. Nur drinnen standen überall noch gebrauchtes Geschirr rum das war etwas schade.

Wir waren von der Arbeit dort als Betriebsausflug zum Mittagessen. Eine kleine Karte, aber dafür sehr viel Auswahl. Es ging schnell mit dem Essen und war mega lecker. Bedienung war auch auf Zack.

Wunderschöne kleine Gaststätte mit einem großen Aussenbereich zum verweilen und Genießen.

Wir hatten hier anlässlich eines Ausfluges reserviert. Die Bedienungen waren sehr höflich und die bestellten Getränke kamen dafür das trotz eines Wochentages viel Betrieb war schnell. Die Speisekarte ist einfach und zweckmäßig gehalten. Die Auswahl bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Sonderwünsche wurden soweit möglich berücksichtigt. Mein bestelltes Jägerschnitzel war sehr gut und mit frischen Champignons zubereitet. Die dazu gereichten Pommes knusprig und lecker. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Hier lässt es sich sowohl im Biergarten als auch in den Innenräumen gut speisen. Es empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall vorher vor allem an den Wochenenden zu reservieren.

Ich kam heute zufällig in dieses Restaurant, da die super nette und ehrliche Bedienung auf dem Weg zur Arbeit mein Handy gefunden hatte. Über den Google Service konnte ich eine Nachricht und einen Button hinterlassen, mit welchem Sie mich trotz Sperrbildschirm kontaktieren konnte. Dieses tat sie sofort. Ich bin ihnen unendlich Dankbar. Das nächste Mal werden wir zum Essen kommen.

Wir waren mit 30 Personen zum Mittagessen im Rahmen unser Jubiläum Oldtimer Ausfahrt angemeldet. Top Service im Vorfeld bei der Planung zum reibungslosen Ablauf unseres Aufenthaltes. Super lecker.
