Great beer garden, very nice service and amazingly high quality and delicious food. The beer garden is divided into two halves - one side with service (here it is almost impossible to eat without a reservation), the other with self-service (the menu is slightly slimmed down here. You get a beeper that shows when the food is ready ) We will come back.

The beer garden is beautifully located on the Lahn. There is a self-service part and a service part. We were lucky and got a place in the service section without a reservation. (On nice days I will call in advance in the future). The tip that the food might take longer was super accommodating. So the decision was ours whether or not to invest the time before we sat down. What can I say: “It was worth it!!!” The food was super tasty. Both for the meat eaters and for the veggies. The service was super nice and very fast despite the restaurant being at full capacity. A clear recommendation.

Today we went to the Paulaner quite spontaneously. The reception was very friendly and we were given a nice seat by the window even without a reservation. The nice waiter immediately came with the menus and also asked about our drink requests. The drinks came quickly and the food (Paulaner pan and Braumeister goulash) didn't take long to arrive either. The food was excellent. Price/performance is definitely right here. The service is on point, very attentive and friendly. I can definitely recommend it. Thank you. We'd love to come back.

I had the Paulaner pan and it wasn't entirely satisfactory for the second time. What I have to complain about is the meat on the knuckle, unfortunately it was too dry (both times). Otherwise very nice location, highly recommended, good ambience, very good staff 👍

Nobody goes there anymore except tourists who happen to come in there. I think the prices are a rip-off. Twice we didn't eat well 👹👹👹👹

This inn is a real insider tip for anyone who doesn't come from the area. Everyone else knows it for sure. The rustic, cozy atmosphere invites you to linger, and the hearty food is simply excellent. There is also a delicious beer that fits perfectly with the rustic and modern charm of the house. The outdoor area directly on the Lahn is particularly beautiful. Here you can sit relaxed and enjoy the view. Families are also well catered for: there are plenty of parking spaces and a children's playground so that the little ones can let off steam. Everything bad, food, service and smells. Was there with a tour group from the Palatinate. Everything took a very, very long time. But nobody was interested in that except us! The location is really nice by the river, there is a playground and plenty of space in the beer garden. I would like a dedicated operator.

I love it here! We are here almost every Sunday. The food is really great and the portions are generous. So you shouldn't be put off by the prices, value for money is great here... although 20 euros on average for a main course is completely legitimate anyway. Very quick, friendly and above all attentive staff, who always more than deserve a tip! Plus a really nice location :) We like to come here again and again!

Really very good! Were here for the first time and I can't say anything negative. We were a relatively large group and easily ordered 20 meals. The food all came at the same time and relatively quickly. It's relatively rare these days. Definitely recommended and worth a visit! 👍🏻

Super nice beer garden, with serviced area or self-service. I would think it would be even better if, in addition to draft beer, you could also get shandy with draft beer, but unfortunately it's only available in bottles. But if you want delicious draft beer, this is the place for you 👍🏻

We went to Paulaner for lunch today and were hoping for a nice place in the shade under the trees in the front area given the high temperatures. However, this was cordoned off and all guests had to sit at the back under small parasols (which of course did not provide enough shade). When asked why the area was closed, the answer was that if there were a few guests they would only occupy the back area (but there were quite a few). We had to wait a very long time for the food. And unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't good either. We had a Paulaner pan. It was too salty and the knuckle was completely dry. Even the Nuremberg sausages were dry on one side. Unfortunately a disappointing visit.

Food is OK. I was shocked when I asked if they could pack up my leftovers. No problem, the waitress immediately brought aluminum foil and a paper plate. €2 was charged for this on the bill. What's also crazy is that you also pay to reorder the side dishes. Mmmm

Very nice beer garden with a view of the Lahn. Good beer and delicious food. You should be really hungry for the portions, the knuckle is highly recommended. You should make reservations for several people, with 2-4 people you usually get lucky spontaneously.

Too bad you can't pay with a card under 10 euros. Me and the wife ate curry worst with pomes a beer and a glass of wine. 39 euros. Ok, no problem, but then my wife goes and wants to get another beer and then she has to buy at least 10 euros to pay by card? Is this blowing customers and urging customers to drink or buy something they don't want? Poor treatment by the pesonal unfortunately and cold people behind the bar, recommend Bergart over on the other side better. Can't go to this notch anymore. 👎👎👎👎👎

Good location, right on the water. Everything you would expect from a beer garden, Bavaria in a small format. Service was friendly and quick, prices were moderate - it was nice!

Food was consistently top, man Got what you would expect from a Bavarian inn :) The service was a bit weak, drinks were empty for a long time and there was no service to be seen, even though there wasn't that much going on.

I can only recommend it, the only thing that was neither positive nor negative is that you have to pick up the order yourself when you are on the terrace

I really love Paulaner beer garden, but they need more servers on a busy Friday night…

The beer garden itself is quite nice. However, we waited half an hour until they noticed us and we could order, after we had previously looked for a menu ourselves. We then had to wait another half hour for the drinks we ordered. The food came warm but only after 90 minutes and two requests. The waiter tried to be friendly, but you could tell he was in a bad mood. The food tasted good and was reasonable for the price. However, I will no longer come here due to the extremely long waiting time, which was never mentioned or explained by the staff.

Incredibly unfriendly receptionist!! The somewhat corpulent lady with short hair rejected us in a very arrogant and unfriendly manner. Clearly chose the wrong profession. If you're having a bad day, you shouldn't take it out on guests in a good mood. We wanted to go out to eat after our canoe tour, but being turned away like that when the first part of the family wants to go to the toilet is simply not possible.

Great beer garden right on the Lahn. The service was very friendly and quick. Traditional Bavarian cuisine mixed with a few local classics. Perfect for a stop after a bike, canoe or hiking tour :) we'll be happy to come back :)

The Braumeister goulash was unfortunately too salty, but the Kaiserschmarren was good. Service is nice. You have to like the ambience, Paulaner.

Very, very nice restaurant, great beer garden

The knuckle had apparently been lying around for some time to keep warm. The crust was tasty but looking at the meat it was very dry and there was a lot to cut off around the outside. The next one will be on vacation again.

Paulaner. The self-service beer garden is to be criticized. The location is fantastic, but the fact that you have to wait in line to order is really stupid. And the fact that the prices are just as expensive as in the service area is also an outrage. And it is very difficult for walkers and wheelchairs to reach both the service beer garden and the self-service beer garden. Through the stupid grit stones. And the guest room can only be reached via the entrance stairs or through the beer garden with the Split. Super stupid. We've eaten there several times. Unfortunately they are only open on Sundays at lunchtime, and now Paulaner has been closed on Sundays at lunchtime for 3 months. It's a shame otherwise it's only open in the evenings, a bit stupid for people who have to work very early in the morning. You could also open on Saturday lunchtime. The food is good . On the upper floors there are two larger rooms for private celebrations, but they don't seem to be heated. At least not at 6 p.m. And if there are a large number of people, it is advisable to order the food in advance so that you don't have to wait long for the food. Unfortunately we couldn't order the entire menu in advance, only a part that the boss was looking for from the menu, of course the higher priced products. But actually everything there is very expensive but very tasty. The staff is very friendly. The location is fantastic and the furnishings match the menu. You have to decide for yourself whether the prices are justified. A large Afri Cola costs 5 euros, there are places where you can get good Coca Cola for just 1 euro cheaper. Unfortunately, we think the prices have reached the top of the price screw. Both for the food and for the drinks and 26 euros for Wiener Schnitzel with fries without salad is already huge. But like I said, it's also damn tasty.

A little piece of Bavaria in Hesse. Nice restaurant with a beer garden right on the Lahn. Delicious Bavarian food in the inn and also smaller items in the self-service beer garden. For example, great giant currywurst for 12, - is worth it. The staff is friendly and prompt.

Evaluation: Food 5/5 Service 2/5 Ambiance 4/5 Price 3/5 We often go to the Paulaner in Wetzlar. The food always tastes really good. The ambience is also really nice and appropriate. Only the service could be a little better. We often reserve a table by phone and have never been greeted in a friendly manner. There is definitely room for improvement. The beer garden is also only open very late in the year. Which is a shame. We had a steak with fried potatoes and a salad with chicken. For drinks we had a delicious wheat beer and a Cola Zero. The price is also on a higher level, which is ok for the quality of the food, but unfortunately you also expect nicer accommodation in order to give more stars here. That's why we give it 4 out of 5 stars, although we were almost more likely to give it 3, but the food is really too tasty to only give it 3 stars. Maybe something is being done here to be more friendly. We would be very happy. We will visit the restaurant again and look forward to our next visit.

Der Service war sehr unhöflich- das Lokal ist auf Massenabfertigung ausgerichtet. Zum Glück war das Essen ok, sonst wäre der Abend echt ein Reinfall gewesen- auf der Toilette hängen Bilder mit so unglaublich frauenverachtenden Sprüchen, dass man sich nicht wundert, warum die Kellner so schmierig sind.

The service is rude and the owner seems to despise women - there is no other explanation for the pictures with the absurd sayings. The food is ok, but that doesn't help much with the greasy waiters.

We were here today with 12 people (Dietenhausen fire brigade). Nice, very fast service, food very tasteful. It certainly wasn't our last visit and we will test the beer garden in the summer.

Last year the currywurst cost 9.90 euros, the wheat 4.50. Now you pay 13.90 for the sausage and 6.50 for the beer. Neither service nor quality has improved. Luckily there are alternatives on the other side of the Lahn. Adio!

Very good Bavarian food with good beer in beautiful Bavaria. Ambiance. Beer garden invites you to sit outside in cool weather. The landlord and the waitress are very friendly and helpful. Large parking lot in front of the house. A reservation is very advantageous. It wasn't the last time we were there.

The food - I had a knuckle from the oven, my friend a Viennese-style schnitzel - was good. The crust was a little too hard for me. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was cozy - there was nice seating outside right on the Lahn - but inside it was very loud. The prices are relatively high.

Always worth a visit. The cellar beer is excellent and the food is also delicious and rich.

I find it really outrageous to charge such an exorbitant price for a currywurst.

Even though it was supposed to be open from 12:00, the chairs were up...no one opened the door. We weren't the only guests. No sign on the door. We were all able to walk again.

Sehr schönes Brauhaus mit leckerem Essen und Bier. Das Personal war sehr freundlich trotz vielen Gästen. Das Brauhaus ist sehr einladend und hat eine tolle Adventsdeko. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren nur im Biergarten. Bei Sonnenschein eine sehr schöne Stelle um ein Bierchen zu trinken. Schöner Blick auf die Alte Lahnbrücke und den Dom. Der Zugang mit Rollstuhl ist für den Biergarten etwas schwierig und umständlich. Mit Geduld klappt es aber. Könnte besser gelöst werden.

Nach langer Zeit wollten wir mal wieder ins Paulaner und hatten uns auf das deftige Essen und die schöne Lage gefreut. Die Lage ist natürlich immer noch sehr schön, allerdings waren wir vom Essen sehr enttäuscht. Der Beilagensalat und die Semmelknödel waren sehr gut, der Schweinebraten und das Gulasch schmeckte fast identisch da es geschmacklich die selbe Soße war. Auch das Fleisch an sich schmeckte nicht besonders gut. Der Service war super !

Extrem gemurlicher Biergarten mit netter Aussicht auf die Altstadt

Ein Wort zum Thema Essen im Paulaner.... Es gibt viele verschiedene Gerichte auf der Karte, die auch sehr viel Abwechslung bietet. Leider funktioniert das mit dem abschmecken nicht!!! Die schwäbische Spätzlepfanne gehört dazu. Der Braten ist zu stark gewürzt, und das ganze wir mit einer Championsoße über deckt. Sie gut aus,aber das harmoniert nicht. Kritik ist auch nicht gerne gesehen und wird mit einer 0815 Antwort abgespeist.

Die Portionen sind viel zu groß aber es schmeckt gut. Die jungen Leute des Service Personal sind sehr freundlich und schnell. Allerdings war die Chefin zu den Stamm-Gästen nur freundlich.

We went here for a company event with a larger group and everything was great - the food was tasty and well cooked. Beware - the portions are huge - rumpsteak or hackse should be taken for 2 people, also salads were huge (dont go for salads + second, will be too much). The service was nice and fast, they have good choice of non-alcoholic drinks, beer was cold and nice. If weather is good - the outside sitting with the view on river and old town is an excellent choice. There is also a small place for kids to play.

Wer auf "Handkäs mit Musik" steht, bekommt hier einen der besten überhaupt. Viele Biersorten machen den Besuch dort perfekt. Für jeden was dabei.

Eigentlich ein schöner Biergarten, mit leckerem Essen. Die Preise sind allerdings zu hoch, auch wenn die Portionen ordentlich sind. 14 Euro für eine Ofenkartoffel mit Quark und Salat sind aber definitiv zu viel. Zudem kostet das Essen im Selbstabholbereich genauso viel wie im bedienten Biergarten. Die eigentliche Farce ist aber tatsächlich, dass ein 2. Teller, um sich ein Essen zu teilen, 2,80€ kostet! Sorry, aber was ist das für ein Service!

Sehr gutes Essen dazu bayerische Biere. Die Ofenkartoffeln waren heute leider nicht durch gegart. Die Behinderten Toilette war mit Rollstuhl schlecht befahrbar, die Toilette wird als Abstellkammer benutzt.

Das Essen wahr sehr gut. Der Service allerdings ultra mies. 2 Speisen kamen 30 min zu spät. Neue Getränkebestellungen wurden ignoriert. Mehrmalig musste man Servicekräfte ansprechen für weitere Getränke. Da fehlt es entweder an Personal oder Schulung. In beiden Fällen sollte der Betreiber dringend nachlegen, denn alle Servicekräfte waren extrem nett! Da das Lokal nicht mal voll war, will ich mir nicht vorstellen wie das ist wenn es voll wird....
