German cuisine and a pub atmosphere, with the owner denying access to "various" non-local guests. Upon inquiry, he explained that only drinks (three people) weren't allowed; he had to keep the tables free for guests who wanted to eat (6-8 tables were unoccupied).
That may all be true, but the owner's manner left me with no other "feeling" that he didn't want "other" guests.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Food is good, unfortunately a bit greasy so not first class. There is hardly any choice for vegetarians. The atmosphere was a bit reserved and very cramped. You could already see cobwebs on the windows. Staff was very friendly. When I left the restaurant my clothes smelled extremely like food.
We spontaneously stopped by for dinner today with our toddler. If it were possible, we would give it 10 stars for the outstanding service and the incredibly warm welcome! Quiet, very friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
Very nice inn, rather inconspicuous from the outside.
Nice covered terrace.
Very good quality food with good value for money. There is only room for improvement when it comes to taste; the kitchen could be a little more courageous in using the spices here.
Dogs were allowed in and were also given water.
An absolute recommendation. Very friendly service, even though it was a lone warrior. Top food! I'm always happy when I order a schnitzel and you can hear from the kitchen how the meat is beaten and fresh mushrooms are used! And all at a fair price! Thanks!
Went to the Eesen again after almost a year. All 3 courses were great.
Perfectly balanced in taste. Great wine selection and very competent and nice boss.
Great evening with top food and service at fair prices
