Was there for a seminar. I received a very friendly welcome. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. Modern and friendly furnishings. The brewery tour was informative and the senior chef had a great time entertaining us. Can only be recommended. The entire service was excellent 😊😊😊 and the food was delicious. Nothing was missing at breakfast either. I can highly recommend the hotel and would be happy to come back there.

I was absolutely thrilled with my visit! The summer menu, in particular, completely won me over – creative dishes with great Mediterranean accents and incredible flavor. Every dish I tried was excellently prepared and lovingly presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, stylish, and relaxed at the same time; you immediately feel welcome. For me, it was definitely an all-round successful experience, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back!

This spacious brewery belonging to the "Gaffel" brewery, located directly next to Cologne Cathedral and the main train station, offers its guests a good place to linger for a while and/or enjoy a delicious Kölsch beer. The menu features a truly good selection of dishes, including many brewery and Cologne classics. So far, we've mostly eaten one of the schnitzel variations here, which were generally delicious despite the generous portion size, although the side dishes and sauces were often a bit salty. The schnitzels have always been a decent size and very tender and juicy. In the Sauerbraten, all the components, especially the sauce, tasted truly delicious, but the meat could have been a bit more tender. However, I find the portion too small for the price, as it's not very filling. The Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef) was also very tasty and truly tender. Based on my previous experiences, I consider the dishes offered, which are prepared in bulk and sometimes served very quickly, to be of good brewery quality overall. The brewery, with its rather unspectacular outdoor terrace on the station forecourt or along the main road, offers plenty of seating in a rustic atmosphere. It's a great place to chat with other guests or watch football together. On certain dates, such as Carnival, there are various events with DJs or live music. The waiters are generally very friendly and prompt. Based on the overall impression, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit, even though traditional restaurants generally offer a bit more in terms of food, in my opinion.

Average food, on the salty an dry side. However what made the experience the worst was a discrete 20% tip added on our bill without informing us. The waitress was in a rush and was not very attentive. When we asked for the bill she said to follow her to pay at the machine. Without showing us our detailed receipt, she pressed a few buttons and turned around the card machine and asked us to pay. Only afterwards we checked the receipt that we noticed a 20% tip was entered. What is unfortunate is that there have been several other reviews previously that note the same issue. Given tips are not mandatory in Europe, especially a 20% tip, it is very disappointing service and feels like a rip off for foreigners.

Vegetarian options are very inadequate.

If you want to eat schnitzel, definitely don't come here! Ready-made schnitzels are sold for a very expensive price. If you want to eat a real schnitzel, you're better off going somewhere else. However, the service person was very friendly.

Very cool location, with very friendly, humorous, and courteous staff. The restrooms are too high up.

Unfortunately, this was the worst knuckle of pork I've ever eaten. It was completely dry, tough, and tasted like it had been microwaved. My companions didn't like their schnitzels either. Therefore, I can't recommend the food. However, the location, with its many plants, is very nice for an after-work Kölsch.

Delicious brewery cuisine, good selection, food arrived quickly, extremely friendly and communicative service, Kölsch went down well, we sat in the beer garden - we'd gladly return!

Recommended restaurant, the food was typical of the Bergisch region and tasted very good. The only drawback for me was the long way to the toilet with stairs.
