We were there spontaneously today with my husband and a friend... the location itself is so beautiful and the music is great. But one service was just a catastrophe and unreasonable. Bad mood and totally rude. Gave us the menu but went for a smoke first. We waited for her for almost half an hour until we went to another table. Another nice waitress came there and told us that the kitchen had been closed for a long time..

We went there to have something to eat and have a nice evening. Since we were there with a dog, we had to sit in the anteroom. What we understand, but what we don't understand is that the condition comes to the table with the words: you will now get something to drink, then I'll go smoke and then I'll eat the food in addition It was announced that she wasn't in the mood anymore and was already in a bad mood and the oton "shitty device wouldn't work"! No sooner said than done, we got our drinks relatively quickly and we didn't see them again after that. We then moved after 30 minutes where the new waitress was very, very nice and told us that there was no more food. The first condition came back to us sloppily when we paid. When we had paid, she called out, "A little tip, you'll be better off without a dog next time!". So all in all, this condition doesn't work at all. If I had talked to the customers like that and treated them like that, as someone who had experience in the catering industry, I would have been out of my job. Location and the rest of the staff were very, very nice. Unfortunately we can't judge the food.

This shop… impossible, only unfriendly people work there. The boss himself is just ridiculous. The restaurant management also really has a strange attitude about them. Personally, I absolutely no longer recommend this store and will never go there again!!!! If I could I would give 0 stars!!

Big event. Too many people per table, not enough space to eat. Line for the buffet too long. Pasta with "green" very tasty, chicken schnitzel terrible, like something from the factory. Pasta salad too much vinegar 😞. In-house soda very good. Staff friendly, sometimes waiting longer. Well with sooo many people.

I was there for the first time. Great place, great atmosphere, good beer! Service great. The ribs were perfect🤤 Food portions large. Highly recommended! I will definitely go back there more than once.

You had the feeling of being a nuisance to the staff. 15 minutes after we arrived, I asked an attendant what you had to do to order a drink. I was supposed to speak to the young woman (who had previously ignored us professionally) and disappeared. When she finally came to our table, she babbled something about “20 euros” and that she was angry. No greeting, no sign that we are welcome as guests. Unfortunately, the behavior did not improve during the entire stay. No questions were asked about how the food tasted or whether we had any wishes, even though we were sitting in front of empty glasses. Thanks to the waitress for ruining our evening! You don't let a bad mood out on your guests! When we indicated our displeasure while paying, she didn't seek conversation, but instead appeared offended and walked away. Short version: The evening was spoiled by the unfriendly service. Professional ignoring, unfriendliness, and a really bad mood. A lot of money was spent on an evening that we will remember negatively. What a shame!

The brewery is set up in an old swimming pool, with tables on three different floors. When the place is packed, it provides goosebumps. The food is all made in Germany, so it is as intense as a tank and as tasty as only German food can be! The service is quick and surprisingly friendly, and they speak pretty good English, too. My journey to this unique brewery began with a local friend who is an aficionado! The brewery, or Brauhaus, is nestled in a converted swimming pool, a setting that adds a delightful quirk to the atmosphere. The interior is a testament to clever design, with a ceiling adorned with coloured ball-shaped lamps. The tables are strategically spread across three floors, offering patrons a chance to soak in the lively dining experience from various vantage points. When the crowd is in full swing, the energy in the room is electrifying, giving me goosebumps. The menu at this unique brewery celebrates authentic German cuisine, prepared with care and precision. Each dish is a symphony of robust flavours, a true reflection of this culinary tradition. The food, hearty and incredibly flavorful, captures the essence of German cooking. I had the spare ribs and tried two homemade lager beers. Everything was excellent! What surprised me most was the service. Despite the bustling environment, the staff were efficient and remarkably friendly, making me feel welcome immediately. They also communicated well in English, making ordering and enjoying the experience easier for me. Overall, it was a delightful outing, showcasing excellent food and a vibrant atmosphere. Price-wise, it is not for the faint of heart but, on average, comparable to the other places I tried in Wuppertal.

The service was good, the knuckle was praised, but the cordon bleu and herring stip were only solid. The vegetarian offer was not convincing.

You rely on the opening times on the website, travel 130 km and stay in a hotel to find out on site that it is closed today. Thank you for nothing!

I'm really disappointed. I ordered an onion mustard roast with just salad. The meat should be medium rare. The meal then came with fries and no salad. So went back again. Then the food came with salad this time. The meat was anything but medium rare. It was raw and barely fried. My brother ordered, among other things, a warm potato cucumber salad, which was ice cold. It was then warmed up and served to my brother again. All in all, the food was absolutely not recommended!!! My meal cost 27€!! It was absolutely not even remotely worth it! That was my last visit there!

I was then accosted by a friendly waiter who sadly informed me that no dogs were allowed upstairs. But he did say that Bero & I could stay downstairs, on our own, and a waiter would come down to serve us. So we duly sat alone and a friendly guy promptly came to take my order of a nice glass of Wuppertaler Helles. He also returned a little later with a large bucket of water for Bero. Food as always very good. Service with drinks was unfortunately poor. Waited half an hour for the order so that even the food was at the table quicker. From 9:30 p.m. there was no more table service and you had to get the drinks yourself. At times the music was completely off. All in all ok but I don't know if I'll come back again soon.

Yesterday we stopped at the Wuppertaler Brauhaus at the end of our trip as part of our annual day bus tour from the Eifelverein. I would like to thank you very much for your warm welcome and the excellent food!!! Of the 56 participants on our tour, there wasn't one person who had something wrong with them, which is something I've never had in all the years I've been running tours. We were there for a theater performance and had something to eat and drink beforehand. It was quite okay.

Very large brewery located in a more touristy area. The food was not that good despite the photos they have. A flavor that was not enough for our palate, but we enjoyed the food to the fullest. Get a table in the beer garden without a reservation. Drinks and food came very quickly. The portions are manageable, the prices are sometimes very high. But the food tasted good.

We were there last weekend with the family (parents, in-laws, my husband and our 1 year old daughter). It was just great. They are very child-friendly there. We were given a high chair and asked if we wanted water for the little one and they even brought her extra bread. We have never had such a child-friendly service.

For me personally, the price of the food was borderline for a brewery and therefore it gets the rating for taste and value for money. The service was friendly, although there were waiting times. The ambience, a former swimming pool where I personally went swimming as a child, has its charm and I find it worthwhile. The outdoor dining area is just a beer garden.

The brewery is located in the middle of Barmen, there is plenty of parking space there and you don't have to go far at night when you go back to your vehicle. The menu is well done and offers plenty of hearty dishes to suit every taste. There are even vegan dishes. We were thrilled by the good taste of the food and the friendly service. We will recommend the brewery without hesitation.

You don't expect upscale gastronomy in a brewery, which is why the criticism is relative. It's not a good sign for a brewery if the beer arrives at the same time as the food. The beer was tasty, the food wasn't. The Braumeister Krüstchen was not crispy and the fried potatoes were fluffy and fatty. This is hard on the stomach. The spare ribs were the worst I've ever eaten. Very dry and far less than the promised "pound". The brewery fries are normal wedges... not bad and ok. The coleslaw from the bucket. Anyone hoping that they will cook here will be disappointed. The garden is nice and the staff is friendly. It was relatively empty on a sunny Sunday.

I had pre-sale tickets for the Germany-Spain European Championship game. 1 hour before the game there was no free (standing) table and no good way to watch while standing. In my opinion, so many tickets were sold that they couldn't guarantee guests an adequate view of the screen & this could have been organized better. The people at the tables didn't eat and those who did eat had to do so while standing. The mood was otherwise good and the pretzels were nice and hot and delicious. Security was also on point to encourage spectators on the stairs to leave. I probably won't go to the brewery again for a European Championship/World Cup game.

Currywurst was nothing special. I doubt whether the sauce is homemade.

I think Brauhaus Wuppertal has declined quite a bit in recent years. 1.) Some employees were very unfriendly and sometimes very cheeky. 2.) There were different prices for a 1 liter of cola or soda in the evening. First it said 10 euros, two hours later it was 13 euros and that for one liter is a disgrace when you consider that a case of cola on offer costs 9.49 euros. I understand that they want to earn something, but that was outrageous. 3.) and if you had questions over the phone, the staff sometimes answered in a very annoying way on the phone. Overall, as seen a few years ago, it has slowed down a lot.

We first went to Gelpetal and then grabbed a meal in the brewery! I first had to get used to the atmosphere, but that happened very quickly. The food was very tasty and the home-brewed beer was good. This traditional brewery is located in the heart of Barmen and offers successful, home-brewed beers and excellent cuisine. Special seasonal beers (currently Maibock) entice you to come back here again and again. The staff is quick, nice and flexible, so there's no excuse not to leave an appropriate tip. TIP: The brewery fries with incredibly delicious aioli!

Yesterday we had an extremely pleasant stay in the best beer garden weather. Fast and very friendly service, appropriate selection of drinks and dishes, good portion size, reasonable price and on top of that it was delicious. What more could you want?

Were there for the public viewing. The atmosphere was great and generally a very nice atmosphere. I deducted 1 star because I unfortunately don't like the home-brewed beer at all. But as we all know, it's a matter of taste. Overall, the brewery can be highly recommended.

Wenn man nach längerer Zeit mal wieder in NRW ist muss natürlich eine Currywurst gegessen werden. Meine Frau hatte die Ofenkartoffel, und dem Wunsch, diese nur mit Salat zu bekommen wurde ohne Probleme nachgekommen und der Preis sofort mit entsprechendem Abzug angeboten! so etwas ist leider heute nicht mehr überall selbstverständlich. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service nett und freundlich. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Preis Leistung ist top.
