Wonderful location, stylish ambiance, and excellent cuisine – highly recommended! A truly fantastic restaurant, not only impressing with its stunning terrace offering breathtaking views over Wuppertal, but also with its very tastefully decorated interior. The whole package is simply perfect! The menu is varied and high-quality. Even the starters – such as tender carpaccio or baked feta – leave you wanting more. The main courses offer a lovely selection of pasta, fish, and meat dishes – there's something for every taste. The monthly specials menu with changing specials is particularly worth mentioning: We had two delicious asparagus starters, lovingly presented and ideal for sharing. The quality of the products is consistently high, and this is reflected in the price – which is absolutely justified, however. The restrooms in the basement are well-maintained and clean, rounding off the positive overall impression. A place that we'd happily recommend – whether for a relaxed meal for two or a special evening with friends. We'll definitely be back!

A great restaurant with a view over the whole of Wuppertal. We will definitely order 2 seats again when it's nice so we can sit outside. The food is plentiful and very tasty. The various types of meat were super tender and well seasoned.

Das Essen ist gut aber auch nur das. Teuer.. trockenes Schnitzel für 22€ .Kalbsschnitzel 32€...Glas Wein für 11 €Und habe den Eindruck das man besser nicht meckert. Am Nebentisch ,anscheinend Verwandte vom Besitzer, war einer der so laut in ausländischer Sprache seine ,,Lebenserfahrungen" den anderen Restaurant Gästen mitzuteilen versuchte das es richtig störend war.Alle drehten sich um und fühlten sich gestört. Und es war so laut das unser Geburtstagskind ( 88) nicht eineinziges Wort mit uns reden, geschweigedenn hören konnte.Uns anderen ging es genauso. Bisschen mehr Schallschutz im Restaurant möglich und sehr angebracht. Also... größere Feier mit 8 Leuten werde ich beim nächsten Mal versuchen zu lassen.

Eine Freundin hat zum Geburtstag geladen und wir sind durchaus positiv gestimmt. Vorab gab es kleine Körbchen mit Baguettebrot, 2 Aioli-Varianten und die Vorspeisenplatte „Feinschmecker Starter“. Köstlich!!! Mein Rumpsteak war perfekt gegrillt und auch die dazu gewählten Beilagen waren schmackhaft. Das Lokal ist modern eingerichtet und wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Servicepersonal war ausgesprochen nett, freundlich und aufmerksam. Einzig kleiner Minuspunkt sind tatsächlich die Preise ;) Dennoch kann ich das Lokal empfehlen und werde dieses sicherlich selbst nochmal besuchen.

We went there for dinner several times and this time too there was no reason to complain. To eat: It was always delicious. Freshly prepared and additional side dishes (sauce, bread, ...) were brought upon request. About the drinks: Everything you need is there. To the service Always nice and friendly. Always have a quick saying on your lips - you feel good. To the ambience Stylishly furnished. Enough freedom to have confidential conversations. Maybe next time I'll be lucky and be able to enjoy the sunset when the weather is better. You can tell from the toilets that they are a bit older. It is clean and well maintained all around. Conclusion: Good restaurant where you can't go wrong, even if it's not the cheapest. Update 3/1/25: Today 8 of us were at the feeding area again. We were completely satisfied. The quality of the food and the service are still at the same high level. A few little things have also changed in the decoration and ambience, so it is now 5/5/5! Wir waren im Futterplatz, um den Geburtstag meiner Mutter zu feiern, und hatten leider eine gemischte Erfahrung. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die Bedienung, die wirklich freundlich und bemüht war – sie verdient definitiv 5 Sterne! Sie entschuldigte sich mehrmals für die extrem lange Wartezeit von fast 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen. Leider war die Reaktion des Chefs auf unsere höfliche Nachfrage nach einer kleinen Entschädigung (z. B. ein Nachtisch aufs Haus) absolut unprofessionell. Anstatt sich für die lange Wartezeit zu entschuldigen oder eine Lösung anzubieten, wurde er arrogant und patzig. Seine Antwort: „Sie haben nicht zu lange gewartet. Außerdem müssen Sie mir nicht sagen, was ich zu tun habe.“ So geht man definitiv nicht mit Gästen um! Das Essen selbst war okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Angesichts des Gesamterlebnisses kann ich leider nicht mehr als 2 Sterne geben. Für die Bedienung gäbe es 5 Sterne, für den Chef am liebsten 0. Wer Wert auf guten Service und Kundenfreundlichkeit legt, sollte sich gut überlegen, ob er hier essen geht.

We were at the feedlot to celebrate my mother's birthday and unfortunately had a mixed experience. I would like to positively highlight the service, which was really friendly and tried hard - it definitely deserves 5 stars! She apologized several times for the extremely long wait of almost 1.5 hours for our food. Unfortunately, the boss's reaction to our polite request for a small compensation (e.g. a dessert on the house) was absolutely unprofessional. Instead of apologizing for the long wait or offering a solution, he became arrogant and stroppy. His answer: “You didn’t wait too long. Besides, you don’t have to tell me what to do.” This is definitely not how you treat guests! The food itself was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, given the overall experience, I can't give it more than 2 stars. There would be 5 stars for the service, preferably 0 for the boss. Anyone who values ​​good service and customer friendliness should think carefully about whether to eat here.

Very nice and competent service! Beautiful furnishings, great location, large terrace with a view over Wuppertal. There are enough parking spaces (in front of and behind the house) For food: very good cuisine! Food tasty and of good quality. Everyone should find something on the map. Also very tasty desserts. The only downer: In order to serve all the dishes at the same time, two menus were no longer really warm, but that didn't hurt the taste. Otherwise everything was really great there. We'll be back!

Parking is also available in front The bad: The male waiter looked at us blank and did not even answer any of our requests/questions. It totally ruined the start of our lunch. Unless he is the owner, he should probably get fired or given some communication lessons. The food is very expensive for what it is. A Schnitzel, fish steak and 2 drinks should not cost 80€

I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant at the Futterplatz and can only say: it was an absolute highlight! The food is of the highest standard and leaves nothing to be desired. I was particularly impressed by the perfectly prepared steaks - beautifully crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside and cooked to perfection. The beef hamburger was also a real treat: juicy, aromatic and made with high-quality ingredients. A special highlight in the winter season is the goose - simply outstanding! Crispy skin, tender meat and the side dishes were perfectly balanced. It is a joy to experience such quality. The service also deserves high praise. Friendly, attentive and yet unobtrusive – you feel completely at home. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Zum Futterplatz is definitely a place that I can recommend and that I would like to visit again myself. Everything is just right here – from the kitchen to the service. Absolutely great!

Service was hectic even though there wasn't much to do. No introduction of the daily dish, little eye contact. Quickly there, quickly away. The salad dressing seemed bought, as did the sauce for the schnitzel. The liver was probably delicious.

The food was very good, but the service was bad. Orders were forgotten or served incorrectly. Under no circumstances should it happen that you receive a beer that contains alcohol even though you ordered one without it.

What a positive surprise! We were last there a little over a year ago and an incredible amount has happened since then: the atmosphere is appealing, the food tasted really fantastic and the service couldn't be better or friendlier. My husband was particularly enthusiastic about his super tender and juicy ribeye steak and grandma was particularly enthusiastic about her veal schnitzel. It is also very nice to enjoy the sunset on the beautifully designed terrace. The prices are a little higher, but we are happy to pay a little more for this all-round successful package. Update September 13th: again an excellent meal with very friendly service and a lovely atmosphere, highly recommended!

It was a perfect, delicious and fun evening! Anyone who claims that the waiter is unfriendly cannot have been served by Emrah or Michele or their nice colleague. There are frozen rösti and sauce mixed with powder. A no go for the price range. The waiter comes across as unfriendly. The waitress is very friendly and helpful. The location and the ambience are great. I think someone is trying to be an upscale restaurant. However, the food is rather good but poorly done. The restaurant would be great with a chef who doesn't use ready-made products.

We celebrated mom's birthday: it was again very successful and very nice! This time we were in the room in the basement, which our family considered perfect for our celebration. There are several children in our family who were able to move freely downstairs without causing any disturbance. A communion took place in the upper area and there were children there too. It was no problem at all for the operator that the children were able to behave uninhibitedly and freely. That was a very nice thing for us and we were all able to relax and enjoy the hour there - thank you very much!!! 😊 🙏🌸 We all enjoyed the food very much and it was served promptly. Drinks were served quickly without waiting (we were never left high and dry). The waiter was always close to us. He was very friendly, helpful and very pleasant as he wasn't pushy but was always there for us! Well, the prices of the food have also been raised here. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio was right for us! I was eating there with my partner and ordered myself from the asparagus menu, potatoes with asparagus and hollandaise sauce for €22 I got 2 potatoes a portion of asparagus and Unfortunately hollandaise sauce from the tetra pack 🙈 The prices are on the higher side and the food here is really very manageable. The restaurant itself is modern classic, the service is a bit taciturn, the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit cool. I don't think I'll go there again 🤷‍♂️

Based on several recommendations, I finally visited this restaurant today. The first impression was very good, great atmosphere with a beautiful view of the valley. Unfortunately, the food cooled down my initial euphoria somewhat, as the quality of the food was okay. O. were, but the quantity was rather poor...a portion of asparagus with 2 small potatoes and a lukewarm hollandaise sauce, which was most likely a convenience product, was not convincing. I also noticed unpleasantly that the waiters were cutting the bread for the tables with their bare hands without using a cloth napkin, a no go for me. In summary, the price/performance ratio is maximally satisfactory.

The ambience is great. But it can seem intimidating. The view from the terrace is great. The waiting times are kept quite short. The food was delicious, but I've eaten the same at a cheaper price. How the prices are made up is beyond me. I had the grill plate and my wife had a 200g rump steak. The proportions are not correct at all. The grill plate comes with lots of meat, side dishes and salad. With steak this is only available at an additional cost. The staff is very friendly and quick. However, there is one thing that I criticize very strongly. And that is the high chair. This item probably saw the last of a rag after it was unpacked.

Yes, I was there today with 12 people, my husband and I had a menu for two. There was very little on it, for 36€ a pair of small peppers, 4 prawns, a few vegetables, two bruschetta, three slices of bread, it was tasty but not enough for the price, you don't go here that often. It's the same as in other restaurants , everything has become more expensive.

Great location above Wuppertal. From the terrace the view stretches from Elberfeld to Oberbarmen. Very friendly staff. The food is simply excellent. We were completely satisfied. The only drawback are the sanitary rooms, which can only be reached via stairs. A real challenge for disabled people.

The kitchen too, the quality of the food was top (fillet steak, zander fillet), fresh grilled vegetables, dessert... A really nice selection of good wine!!! Another plus point is the large parking space at the house and a fantastic view of Wuppertal. We would like to come again. Thank you for a lovely evening with you and your hospitality.

Wir waren im Dezember vergangenen Jahres da und haben Gänsekeule gegessen, die unmöglich zubereitet war. Auf unsere Reklamation hin gab es mit einer entsprechend negativen Bemerkung eine Gänsebrust, die auch nicht überzeugte. Wir haben dort öfter bespeist. Das Essen war mittelmäßig und im Verhältnis zu teuer. Die Bedienung ist grenzwertig, aufgrund eines Zwischenfalls erfolgte sogar eine Morddrohung ! Also das Restaurant mit Vorsicht Geleisen, am besten nicht meckern - oder am besten meiden !

Wir hatten eine Feier mit 25 Personen. Sehr guter Service, leckeres Essen und auf kleine Sonderwünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Schöne Terasse und ausreichend Parkplätze.Wir können es nur empfehlen!

Im Rahmen einer Trauerfeier waren wir heute dort. Der Raum war angemessen gestaltet, das Essen gut und das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich.

Bei zwei Besuchen haben wir unterschiedliche Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Lage ist aufgrund der grandiosen Aussicht unschlagbar. Beim ersten Besuch waren wir sowohl mit dem Essen, als auch mit dem Service zufrieden. Beim zweiten Besuch gab es in beiden Punkten aber sehr große Schwächen. Vielleicht geben wir dem Restaurant irgendwann nochmal eine Chance.

Essen und Service sehr gut. Allerdings problematisch bei größeren Reservierungen Ich hatte bereits im Juni eine bestimmte Nische fuer ein Familienessen am 9.12 reserviert. Wir sind immer 15 bis 16 Personen und haben drei Hunde dabei. Bei unserem Fest wird gewichtelt, mal eine Geschichte oder ein Gedicht vorgetragen. Aus diesem Grund ziehen wir ein bißchen Privatspaehre vor Gestern waren wir da um noch ein paar Dinge zu besprechen Da teilte man uns dann mit das wir diese Ecke nicht haben koennen, da man da lieber die Mitarbeiter eines großen Unternehmens hinsetzt. Man hatte uns in einer langen Reihe vor ein Fenster gesetzt. Hier muss jeder dran vorbei der ins oder aus dem Restaurant will. Also Laufverkehr und nichts mehr mit Privatsphäre. Man haette uns anrufen koennen um darueber zu sprechen. Das ist nicht passiert So geht man nicht mit Gästen um. Fuer uns war es das dann. Alles abgesagt und tatsächlich gestern noch was gefunden wo auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen wird. Wir sind dort immer gerne essen gegangen, aber das wird wohl in Zukunft nicht mehr passieren Also, essen zu empfehlen aber Vorsicht bei Reservierungen.

Tolles Restaurant mit einem genialen Blick über Wuppertal. Draußen auf der beheizten Terrasse würden wir hervorragend bedient. Der Wein schmeckte, ebenso wie das wirklich tolle Essen. Nicht ganz günstig, aber seinen Preis auf jeden Fall wert. Gerade zu Sonnenuntergang wirklich atemberaubend. Gerne wieder.

Beilagen und Getränke sind völlig überteuert. Die Atmosphäre und Räumlichkeiten machen auf den ersten Blick einen sehr angenehmen Eindruck. Der Blick in die Speisekarte zeigt ein überschaubares Angebot, aber fast jeder kann etwas für sich finden. Die Preise für die aufgerufenen Gerichte -insbesondere die Beilagen - verlassen aber den guten Ton. Sie sind zwar handwerklich gut gemacht, entsprechen aber keinem Gourmet-Standard. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen. Schade.

Schönes Restaurant mit sensationellem Ausblick über die Hauptstadt des Bergischen Landes. Dem Gast wird hier sowohl durch Ambiente als auch die Auswahl sowie den Preis der angebotenen Speisen ein gehobenenes Gastronomieangebot suggeriert. Leider kann das Essen dem angesetzten Standard nicht genügen. Es werden zweifelsfrei convince Produkte in der Küche eingesetzt, was grundsätzlich in der Gastronomie heutzutage nicht mehr verwerflich ist, jedoch hatte ich bei dem dargestellten Gesamtbild des Etablissement einen höheren Standard erwartet. Der Service war angemessen, das Personal freundlich aber nicht sonderlich zuvorkommend. Zum verweilen auf der Terrasse bei einem Getränk würde ich jederzeit eine Empfehlung aussprechen, das Essen werde ich jedoch in Zukunft meiden.

Ich feierte in einem sehr schönen gesondertem Raum meinen runden Geburtstag. Unsere Erwartungen wurden in allen Punkten erfüllt und teils sogar übertroffen. Das Lokal und das freundliche Team kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Reservierung einer Familienfeier wurde ohne Rückfrage geändert, Beschwerde des Gastgebers an diesem Abend wurde völlig gleichgültig aufgenommen, war dem Inhaber wohl egal ob seine Gäste nochmals wiederkommen. Essen ok.

Wir waren am 26.08.2023, 18:30 Uhr, mit vier Personen dort. Hervorragende Bedienung, schmackhaftes Essen, sehr schönes Ambiente. Trotz einer großen Gesellschaft und einem vollen Haus mussten wir nicht lange auf das Servieren des Essens warten. Es war ein gelungener Abend und wir kommen garantiert gerne wieder. Bravo!

Sehr schönes Ambiente, von der Terrasse aus hat man einen schönen Ausblick über das Tal. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Und das Essen war sehr lecker. Der gebackene Schafskäse ist sehr zu empfehlen, das Rumpsteak war auf den gewünschten Punkt gebraten und das Friesenschnitzel war auch sehr lecker. Das Essen ist nicht ganz günstig, aber absolut den Preis wert.
