Although we arrived late, we happened to be in the area and popped in spontaneously. We were served warmly and received freshly cooked food. Everything was excellent and absolutely delicious! Highly recommended! 👍🏻

After a long time, I finally returned to the Zum Kornbrenner restaurant, and it was more than worth it. The tomahawk pork chop was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The homemade tiramisu that followed was exactly what you'd call a perfect ending to a meal. It was accompanied by an excellent red wine from Greece, which complemented everything beautifully. The service was, as always, first-class. Friendly, attentive, and with helpful information about the current seasonal menu and a very well-chosen wine recommendation for the main course. A thoroughly enjoyable evening that I highly recommend.

The food and drinks are carefully selected and reliably well-prepared – with many culinary surprises from Greek and Cologne cuisine. Hats off! As a brewery pub in the Nippes neighborhood, it's a real asset; thank you for that. Our loyalty is rewarded – for several years now. By the way: The ambiance of the old distillery is also inviting, and the fresh flowers on the tables, among other things, enhance the overall experience.

The Kornbrenner. A Nippes institution, practically right next to the subway – just a 5-minute walk to the Lohsestrasse station 😉 The interior is beautifully maintained, with a fantastic old buffet in the front room, a gorgeous tiled stove, and polished high tables – simply wonderful. The back room, with its set tables, is very inviting! The only slight drawback is that the lighting in this room is a bit too bright; a warmer light would be more charming. Classic brewery cuisine of a high standard, Mediterranean-inspired dishes (including, according to my husband, the best tzatziki ever), freshly and perfectly poured Sünner Kölsch on tap, and quick and very friendly service! We'll definitely be back and look forward to another lovely evening at the Kornbrenner!

Amazing Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes!

I just went to Kornbrenner and had a smash burger. It was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked to perfection, super juicy, and a real flavor highlight. The potato wedges with Parmesan and creamy truffle mayonnaise were also a true delight; I could eat them forever! The service was also exceptionally friendly and attentive. My order was taken immediately, and I felt completely comfortable and welcome. A fabulous experience, I can highly recommend it to everyone! You absolutely have to try it. I will definitely be back. Unfortunately, only 3 stars. But let's start with the positives: The food was simply sensational!!! I haven't had such a delicious roast pork in a very long time. The coleslaw was also really tasty, as was the aioli beforehand! So the food is definitely a 10/10! Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the service. We waited an incredibly long time for our drinks, while regular customers (?) were cheerfully served in the meantime. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink or anything like that. However, at the end, we were presented with cards where you could scan a QR code, rate the Kornbrenner, and in return receive a free dessert. I personally find that questionable. Oh well. I would have really liked to give 5 stars for the food, but unfortunately, the service wasn't even worth 1 star. What a shame.

Simply excellent, I can't recommend it highly enough. We were just passing through Cologne and had the good fortune to stay right next to this delicious bistro, which was not only welcoming, but particularly good. The flavors were perfect, the portions generous, and the place particularly lively. A special mention goes to the beer brewed on-site, which the chef was happy to refill for us.

The three-course summer menu is outstanding. The dishes can be customized. It tastes fresh, incredibly delicious, and is very creatively presented. The Sion Wiess on tap is unbeatable. The service is very friendly. All in all, I'm very happy to have visited this restaurant. It will definitely not be the last time.

Today we ate the rump steak from the summer menu at Stefanos and Lica's and were absolutely thrilled. Everything was perfect and beautifully presented. The truffle mayonnaise was particularly good, as were the potatoes. A big compliment to the kitchen. We would love to come back.
