We sat with a small group for dinner. It was cozy and atmospheric. Beer and schnapps of two types 👍💪)) But the wives did not like the dish - Risotto. For this -1*.

A traditional brewery with a postcard-perfect view of Old Dresden, located directly on the Elbe River. Excellent beer and delicious food. Drinking under linden trees is the way beer should be drunk. Prices are reasonable. A real highlight in May: The Maibock at Watzke Brauhaus I had the great pleasure of trying the Maibock beer at Watzke – and what can I say: It's one of the best bock beers I've ever tasted. Perfectly balanced, with subtle caramel notes, a full-bodied, round flavor, and a velvety finish. Not at all overpowering or aggressive – simply a harmonious, honest beer experience. Anyone in Dresden in May shouldn't miss this seasonal masterpiece. A huge compliment to the brewmasters – everything here is just right.

A bit disappointed. While having trouble reserving through the OpenTable app, I call the place and asked for a table. Nothing available for the same evening I was told. Shortly after the app decided to corporate and since it showed up with available tables the same evening I decided to book one regardless. We arrived on time for the reservation and sure enough, a table was there waiting for us. A very friendly and english speaking waiter took our order. We ordered a pork knuckle for sharing and it arrived pretty fast. Unfortunately it was the most disappointing knuckle I've had in Germany (and I've had a few around the country) None of the skin was crunchy and the fat not properly melted, making it feel like one big sad gummy bear. Flavor of the meat was ok though, but not the most juicy either. The potato dumplings also did lack a bit of flavor. Once done we asked for the bill and said that we would pay by card. The waiter then went on with other stuff. After a while waiting the same waiter came back asking if we would like some more beer/drinks. We kindly refused and again asked for the bill. Again he went on during other stuff and after a while he finally remembered and brought the machine to pay. Atmosphere is in top, it's a good looking place in a good location, but I wouldn't come back for food here, unfortunately.

We wanted to stop for a beer and a pretzel after a bike ride. The atmosphere looked promising. The beer was good and came quickly. We were still waiting for the pretzel after our glasses were empty. The waiter was indifferent to the payment. We'll go somewhere else in the future.

I had roulade and it was so dry that I was dehydrated. In addition, the advertised mushrooms were forgotten. It was beautifully prepared and the taste was OK, but as already described, extremely dry.
