Feldschlößchen-Stammhaus in Dresden

After our working day started at 6:00 a.m., we were just on the street (Monday), we were just longing for a good warm meal in the late afternoon and we were recommended this great (from the outside) restaurant. Full of anticipation and hungry, we went in and were so thoroughly rejected, with the justification that it was a closed company, some were preparing and others weren't finished yet?!? It's a disgrace when you can't even put a small meal on the table for TWO hungry people.

After checking in at the neighboring hotel we went straight over to eat because our stomachs were growling. Even though we arrived a good two hours before our reserved time, we were warmly welcomed and given a table. The chosen starter Saxon bruchetta (three half slices of bot with tomato, cheese and country smoked ham) as well as our main courses cheese spaetzle and the knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings were tasty and good. The Stammhaus Lemonade is recommended and the Feldschlösschen Pils eh. What obviously speaks for the restaurant: It was quite full and almost all the tables were occupied. Definitely recommended and we will definitely come back.

Nice place, but there is room for improvement in terms of friendliness. We waited 70 minutes with 4 children for the food, only to be told that we had waited so long because of a single starter because we didn't know there were children at the table (who all ordered chicken/chips), then we forgot a main course and said stupid things in the kitchen. The disabled toilet is not suitable for disabled people. Never again.

A note: There is no menu with designated allergens at this restaurant. This makes it difficult for people with allergies to make the right food choices. When asked, the service staff said that this topic had already been raised several times. It's a real shame that there's no response to this. The food was delicious, the service was really great. For children there is a box with books, pens and games when they arrive.

Great atmosphere, I didn't like that the table was cleared while I was still eating. Otherwise super friendly and personable service!

The table was reserved by my wife, we entered the restaurant and ordered drinks. These also came in a reasonable time. The food was ordered by the entire table and so the long wait began. The drinks were empty and none of the waitresses acknowledged this, let alone asked if they wanted anything else - the food wasn't there either. After waiting for almost an hour! We were forced to change restaurants because no further drink requests were recorded, nor was the food we ordered (from the very clear menu - not a big selection!) even in sight. The organization can certainly be improved and the staff needs to be better trained.

Today we were in the Feldschlösschen Stammmhaus for the first time. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. We felt totally at home. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back next time we visit Dresden.

Very nice brewery restaurant with four different home-brewed beers. I liked the Kellerbier best. Unfortunately, the food (pepper chicken) wasn't that great. Kind of like McD Chicken Nugets with pepper flavor. But all in all, highly recommended!

The ambience really blows your mind! The service is very courteous & absolutely friendly, relaxed. Add to that the excellent food! Can we please add more stars?! We had one main course (seasonal) & 2 drinks per person. (Beer tasting is worth it!)

Typical brewery atmosphere with the veteran from Dresden, the Feldschlösschen beer. Variety of varieties, delicious food, friendly staff and authentic ambience. Definitely recommended for brewery friends.

For the starter there was a spicy meat in which the lemon was forgotten, everything can happen half as wildly and a slice of bread that was unfortunately only half toasted. Also the Saxon bruschetta, which was delicious. The main course was the hake, for which the topping was forgotten, and the Wienerschnitzel, which was a complete disgrace in terms of price and quality. It's okay if a veal schnitzel costs €30. But then it has to be good! This was not pounded and therefore much too thick, the breading was absolutely not baked, the fried potatoes were soggy and only half fried and last but not least, the whole meal was saltless (although this point can be judged depending on your preference). For these very high prices, Dresden has better alternatives for good home-style cooking than the Feldschlösschen parent house.

Good location, only the taxis are slow

A great location for a company event. Great service and a first-class buffet in a cozy atmosphere offer a perfect setting for a successful evening with colleagues.

We are in Dresden for the 3rd day and this is by far the best restaurant. Super friendly staff, great beer and the food Backhandel and the knuckle was fantastic. Absolutely top recommendation.

Hello dear Feldschlösschen team, I would like to give you a big compliment! We had a great evening with you on Saturday September 21st, 2024. Super great location, nice people, food, drinks,... nothing left to be desired. You really contributed to a brilliant evening. Daniel, Micha... and hopefully we didn't forget anyone, it was a lot of fun. Everyone was happy and remembers you fondly. Keep it up, we'll definitely come back again. Thank you also for the uncomplicated reservation process. Everything went well. Far too expensive for far too little food. Waited 1.5 hours for food.

It would have been nice if we had been informed when we ordered a table that brunch was on Sundays at lunchtime. Unfortunately we sat right in front of the door and buffet so it wasn't that comfortable because people were constantly walking out the door or going to the buffet right behind us. It was pretty loud. We then had to wait about 1 hour for our food. But the service and the food were good.

Was 13 for lunch. Of the very finest. The food was great, the service and the ambience were great too. Clear recommendation

After work, we spontaneously went to dinner at the Feldschlößchen main building. The food was very good, it was a successful end to the day.

We had brunch in the main building, the breakfast was quite ok, only the warm portion (scrambled eggs/bacon) was only refilled upon request and from the waiter with a very sloppy answer. The lunch was bad... the worst we've ever had. The only meat was dry mini schnitzels, there were no sauces, no potatoes, no dumplings, no fries, the only potatoes were mixed with zucchini. There was also risotto, but it was cooked very soft... The brewery tour was very good, hence the two stars.

It was a really great evening with a mega 3-course candlelight dinner and our waiter Mr. Schindler was an asset. It's rare to experience such great service! We were more than satisfied and would love to come back!

Ich empfand die Atmosphäre im Feldschlösschen als sehr unfreundlich, besonders für Kinder und Familien. Unser Aufenthalt mit meiner Familie (mein Mann, 2 kleine Söhne, dem Bruder und der Freundin) ist schon etwas länger her (2018), aber wurde von mir aufgrund des negativen Erlebnisses nicht vergessen, ich habe mich schon oft negativ daran erinnert und bin seither nie wieder hin gegangen. Aus diesem Grund schreibe ich diese Rezension. Ich war damals mit meiner Tochter risikoschwanger und durfte nicht mehr als 5 kg heben. Meine Söhne waren 3 und 6 Jahre alt. Mein Mann, mein Bruder und dessen Freundin hatten das Lokal zum Rauchen verlassen und den 6-jährigen mitgenommen. Ich blieb mit dem 3-jährigen im Lokal, der leider sauer war, dass er nicht mitdurfte und im Hochstuhl saß und dort einen Kleinkind-Wutanfall hatte, weil er raus wollte. Leider konnte ich ihn aufgrund der Risikoschwangerschaft nicht aus dem Stuhl heben, denn er wog bereits über 18 kg. Ich versuchte, ihn durch Zureden zu beruhigen, erntete aber immer mehr böse Blicke von Gästen und besonders vom Personal. Schließlich kam ein bayerisch sprechender Herr an den Tisch, um mich zu verwarnen. Ich solle doch den Jungen draußen spielen lassen, dort sei Platz für ihn (es war ein nicht eingezäunter Bereich an einer stark befahrenen Straße). Ich muss sagen, dass ich die Atmosphäre als familienfeindlich und unangenehm empfunden habe. Die Portionen waren klein und das Essen dafür überteuert. Geschmacklich war es auch nichts Besonderes, da habe ich anderswo schon weitaus besser gegessen. Das Feldschlösschen sieht uns bestimmt nie wieder.

We often stayed at the Feldschlösschen Stammhaus because we were in the hotel opposite. The beer is first class! Many varieties, promotional days with small free gifts. The food is also really tasty, just a little more expensive (around €20-30 per dish with a moderate portion size). The half liter of Pils €5.50, measure approx. €10. We would still come back!

Sind während unseres Aufenthaltes in Dresden hier eingekehrt. Freundliche Bedienung. Schnell und unkompliziert. Gute Auswahl an Speisen. Preislich doch ein wenig höher angesiedelt als in anderen Restaurants in Dresden. Qualität war gut. Restaurant typisch wie jedes Brauhausrestaurant. Kann man besuchen, ist aber keine Pflicht

I love the Feldschlösschen Restaurant. I've been a regular customer since 2008... But since when did you roll up a Braumeisterschnitzel like a wrap? There's no question that food is delicious... But sometimes you just shouldn't change good things... slightly disappointed 😢

Waiters were so incompetent, something was missing from every order. When someone pointed it out, it was accepted with brimming arrogance.

Unfortunately, service has decreased and prices have increased, unfortunately where are we headed here?!

A lovely evening in the Feldschlösschen, we really liked the atmosphere. Rustic yet modern. The waiter was in a good mood and was in the mood for a joke. There were ribs that were really tender off the bone and the delicious shandy was excellent. I had to buy a box straight away for home. We felt comfortable and had a nice evening.

Traditional German cuisine and Dresden own bier label. Stylish decorated big hall with high ceiling, friendly ambience. Nicely presented testy food; fast and attentive service. In addition to the main menu, there is also seasonal card and daily specials. Tester set of four small bier portions is a good possibility to degust and get to know different sorts. Very reasonable prices. Suitable also for groups.

The food is well prepared but the taste is lacking and the seasoning is missing. Spare ribs were ordered and thick ribs arrived for 25 €, the beer in the brewery also has prices like in the pharmacy, when I'm in Bavaria or Berlin I don't pay such exorbitant prices and the staff definitely earns more money than in Saxony

We were there with a very large group and it went great with food and drinks. Food nicely presented and decent beers. Rubin and Kellerbier can be highly recommended!

Brunch on Sunday: Good offer at the cold buffet. Hot dishes made to order are also very tasty, but too plentiful. I would happily recommend this type, but the warm foods should be minimized. We felt very comfortable. The short tour of the brewery museum was also great.

We were there on a Saturday evening, didn't have a reservation and found space in the beer garden. We waited a very long time for our food (about 45 minutes). Guests who came after us were more likely to get something. But the food was very tasty.

There were seven of us at lunch. Steve did a perfect job. He was the only waiter in the restaurant who served several groups at the same time. He was extremely organized and delivered great service. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere in the main building was pleasant.

When in Dresden you have to come and eat.

Unfortunately this time the food wasn't good, the last few times it was actually always OK. We had cheese spaetzle, Wiener schnitzel, The staff and atmosphere were perfect.

We went for brunch on a Sunday in March 2024 from 10am to 2pm. The food was very tasty and sufficient. Coffee, tea, orange juice and water are included in the brunch price. Anyone who takes part in the tour of the house will receive a small glass of beer for free. That's a great idea. This way you can also find out something about the Feldschlösschen brewery. You have a good view from the tower.

Yesterday we went to the crime dinner in the Feldschlösschen, it was a great evening. Thanks to the kitchen - the food was excellent 👍🏼, the service was amazing 👍🏼, the ambience was worth seeing 👍🏼. All in all, I would recommend it with a clear conscience and thank the team keep it up

I ate crispy fried chicken for €20.90. However, I was very disappointed because I was hoping for half a chicken in a brewery. Unfortunately they were normal Chicken McNuggets, 3 pieces with a little cucumber potato salt. Admittedly, it was tasty, but I felt a little surprised by the quantity and I wasn't full afterwards. If I spend 2.5 € on materials, I don't have to charge 20.90 €, sorry!!

The brunch was, as always, very good. A rich and varied cold and poor buffet. Plus the tour and a beer...a well-rounded affair. For €32.90 this is a very good deal.....See you next time! ;-))

We were there as a large group on a Saturday evening. What can I say, a medium disaster. Waiting 2.5 hours for the food... And then when you asked the service if you could ask in the kitchen, to get the answer: what's my problem?, that's more than abysmal. The burger was half cold and overcooked. So definitely not again

Order was taken incorrectly... We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food... Price/performance is no longer right here. It wasn't a nice evening!

We wanted to spend a nice last evening in the Feldschlößchen today, we had reserved for 7 p.m. We then ordered at 7 p.m. and received our food at 8:50 p.m. We asked twice in the meantime how long it would take, and we kept saying it would start soon. Well, there was food and I have to say the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right there, I had 2 small Viennese schnitzels with a little fried potatoes and some cucumber salad for an incredible €29.90...the taste wasn't that great either. Wild salad with beetroot for 18 euros, beetroot had no taste whatsoever. About the staff: The young staff was very friendly and nice, and tried their best when we had questions. On the other hand, the waiter who collected the money from the guests was very rude to the guests by kneading the chewing gum. As you walked past you were asked if you wanted another drink. And what I found worst of all was that you didn't get a "sorry, it might take a moment" during the long waiting time, nor did you get a payment where you paid. So that was the first and last time for us.

Food very tasty. But why are there no “Feldschlößchen Mixx”? 🤔😆 They were also asked whether they would simply like to have the fried egg, which was not wanted in one dish, with the other. Very nice and considerate 😊

Seasoned meat was very good, fried potatoes were a little too salty, schnitzel could have been a little more sautéed but it was tasty and the veal beer was of course very good.

Very nice restaurant on Budapester Straße. The location offers various options, beer garden, various bar rooms, ballroom. You can come here in summer and winter. It is advisable to reserve a place. We were lucky and were able to spontaneously dine as a couple on Friday at 5 p.m. The staff was very, very nice and tried hard, you can recommend the place without reservation. There are stairs and there is an elevator, you can visit it like a small museum about brewery traditions. Parking spaces are available at the restaurant and also in the underground car park.

A beautiful local brewery, in an old building of a pre-war brewery. A place with an amazing atmosphere. The selection of beers is very wide, we liked Ruby and Radler the most. Food very good. Great service.

Given the variety of restaurants in Dresden, we chose this location. We absolutely love the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is visually a feast for the eyes. It was super tasty. We are very happy to recommend the main building. Keep it up. The prices are more than justified.
