German restaurant serving a wide variety of dishes for very reasonable prices. We enjoyed restaurant so much we went back a second time! You can eat outside under cover or inside if colder. Menu is also in English and the staff were willing to help. Apart from the excellent food, the restaurant has excellent beer. The venue is about 5 minutes walk from tram stop and the shopping centre.

Fast service, food was also delicious, plus delicious Altpieschener.

Stopped by this location as the sausage place next door was closed unfortunately due to Sunday. Overall pretty happy with the sausage (ordered veal sausage). Good service and tons of patio seating.

We were there on August 30, 2024. Ate a pork neck steak there. It's an art to fry or grill the thing like this. No thanks - that was it for us with Watzke.

Dresden's best sausage specialties are available at Watzke. Whenever I'm in Dresden I visit one of the different locations for a veal bratwurst and a tasty Pilsner. Friendly service, attractive changing monthly tickets for beer and sausages, good food quality and fairly reasonable prices make Watzke a recommendation.

Unfortunately, the evening in this restaurant was a complete failure. Right at the beginning the waiter spilled a wheat beer on one of my friends. Sure, no one does this on purpose and it can happen. However, as a guest you expect the restaurant to be helpful - none of it. Neither drink nor food was on the house. I find that very weak! In addition, the food was rather average and the daily special “beef steak” was very dry and carelessly prepared. We won't eat there again

Leider war der letzte Besuch nicht so schön.Das Essen hat geschmeckt, aber es war nur lauwarm.Die beiden Kellner waren völlig überfordert und waren auch etwas genervt.Die Tische wurden nicht zeitnah abgeräumt,was gerade im Außenbereich keinen guten Eindruck hinterlässt und auch nicht zum verweilen einlädt.Als Stammgäste sind wir anderen Service gewohnt.

The best beer in Dresden, excellent food and service.

Wir haben uns spontan mit Freunden getroffen und einen Tisch vorab reserviert. Als wir angekommen sind, wusste man allerdings nichts von einer Reservierung, was schade war. Uns wurde trotz der hohen Temperaturen ein Tisch innen vorgeschlagen, den wir nach kurzer Zeit wechselten, weil es im Inneren viel zu stickig war. Draußen bediente uns ein fast schon aufdringliche Kellner, der bei kleinen Anfragen oder Änderungswünsche bei den Speisen die Augen rollte. Das Essen und die Getränke kamen schnell und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Besagter Kellner fragte schon fast penetrant, ob wir noch etwas bestellen wollen. Uns kam es so vor, als würde er uns schnellstmöglich loswerden, damit er Platz für neue Gäste hat, die vielleicht mehr bezahlten als wir. Als wir die Rechnung zahlten, fiel das Trinkgeld natürlich entsprechend niedrig aus. Er verabschiedete sich nicht und schüttelte im Weggehen den Kopf. Ein wirklich unprofessionelles Verhalten! Wir alle, die am Tisch gesessen haben, sind gelernte Gastronomen und wir waren sprachlos. Unseren Abend haben wir dann in einem anderem Restaurant ausklingen lassen. Leider war es nach langer Zeit der erste und auch letzte Besuch im Watzke.

Por azares del destino visitamos Dresden por un par de horas y como nos dio hambre nos metimos en lo más cerca que encontramos, la sorpresa fue un lugar bonito y limpio, con una carta variada, menú de niños, precios medio-alto pero la comida estuvo bien, lo mejor fue la atención de un mesero griego que tuvimos que hasta hablaba español, buenas cervezas!

Der Kellner hatte vom Restaurant keine Ahnung, weder von der Speisekarte noch ob es WLAN gibt. Er hat immer gesagt, er hat keine Ahnung.

The food is really delicious. But the employee is racist. They were unfriendly from the moment I first took my order, and when I asked for more dishes, they rolled their eyes and made an expression of disgust. The dishes aren't even free; you have to pay 1 euro for each one. And the staff took care of all the other customers' work and delivered the dishes very late. At the end, when I was paying the bill, I felt bad, but out of courtesy, I said “halo~”, and the employee said, “Why did you say halo?” “That’s something you only say when you first meet.” They started an argument for no reason. From the moment we came in, the staff was very racist and took our orders in an unpleasant way. I tried to correct it because they added something we didn't order. The service staff was pretty harsh to us. I didn't feel very welcome as a consumer. Another couple who asked for a table in English were simply turned away on the grounds that everything was fully booked, even though we had just gotten up and there were other free tables. Nice restaurant with delicious Saxon cuisine and good beer. The menu is quite unusual, there are the classics but also some in-house creations that definitely sound very interesting. During the week there are theme days with changing dishes. There are snacks, starters, hot and cold dishes, as well as some from the in-house smokehouse. We ordered beef tongue which was very good. Reordering the side dishes was no problem at all and we were well advised. The small minus point is the vegetables. There are only peas that not everyone tolerates well. The salad dressing is rather fruity, which is not for everyone. Personally, I enjoyed it very much. The unfiltered beer really surprised me, it was really good 👍. The restaurant inside is beautifully and comfortably furnished. There are plenty of tables and parasols outside. The employees are very attentive, friendly and quick. The prices are a bit high but I found the quality of the food to be very good and the portions were nice and big. I would recommend the restaurant at any time.

Beautiful brewery between the Prager Straße shopping street and the old town. Delicious food at fair prices. Monthly changing beer specialties from our own brewery and matching dishes from our own butcher's shop. The service is great.

2nd stop on the Watzketour was spent here, after starting in the sausage kitchen next door. After changing stations, a hop topedo was just the thing to regain strength for the rest of the day. Both schnapps and beer are very tasty and digestible.

My first evening at Watzke is coming to an end. There is a very nice atmosphere there. The price-performance ratio is absolutely top. The menu is suitable for everyone. Vegan, vegetarian or traditional, it's all there. The service is absolutely great. Thanks to Mr. Schmidt for allowing us women to stay seated for so long. I'll definitely come back.

Top address for local beer in Dresden. If you like breweries, this is the place for you. Typical dishes with beer and monthly specials as well as cheerful staff round off the experience. Highly recommended 👍 We like to come here often, but today I was very disappointed with the food. The beef ribs we ordered for €30.90 turned out to be 75% fat and bones. And I know ribs, but they were never worth the price. A pity.

The food was perfect, also the beer, the service on the other hand…I traveled a lot and it was the first restaurant I ever been in that they charged us 2€ per plate each. When we were paying we asked if we can have a box to go. The waiter then asked “do you want to leave a tip?” when we said no, he stopped talking to us and never brought a box…

Abendessen an einem Mittwoch im März. Es ist Schnitzeltag und ich bestelle auch das Aktionsangebot - ein Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und einem 0.3 L Bier (18,90 €). Ein "normales" Schnitzel kostet 17,90 € und gibt es laut Karte mit Bohnen und Bratkartoffeln mit Speck. Weiterhin bestellten wir die Haxenfleischpfanne. Wir spekulierten in der Wartezeit etwas, ob das Schnitzel in der Aktion und "normal" Unterschiede hat. Und tatsächlich lag auf dem "Aktions"-Teller etwas einsam ein Schnitzel, eine kleine Handvoll Bratkartoffeln ohne erkennbaren Speck und etwas Grünzeug. Wir halten das für Preis-Hascherei....oder sowas ähnliches. Als ob sich die wirtschaftliche Lage der Brauhauskette an ein paar Bohnen und Bratkartoffeln festmachen würde. Wir fanden das dreist. Und kontraproduktiv! Gefühlt unterscheidet sich auch die Haxenfleischpfanne in der Menge zwischen den Standorten in Dresden. Das Monatsbier schmeckte, das Ambiente passt und der Service war aufmerksam und nett. Aufgrund der Preis-Hascherei bei den Aktions-Angeboten werde ich wohl erstmal nicht mehr Gast sein.

For lunch at Watzke. The menus are all very similar overall, but there are still differences between the individual restaurants, for example in the weekday offers. Good home cooking with homemade sausage. Nothing can go wrong. Great concept. The service was super friendly, something that doesn't happen often anymore. 👍 Food arrived quickly and was of good quality. The white sausage was one of the best I have ever eaten outside of Bavaria. But, sorry, the mustard is old. Consistency too thin and tastes like honey? You'd better buy it. Otherwise everything was fine for me. Clear recommendation.

Das Bier ist richtig gut. Monantsbier März 2024 genau meins. Auch das Essen ist passend zum Bier sehr lecker. Die Watzke-Restaurants sind alle uneinges chränkt zu empfehlen.

Mein zartes Hähnchen auf Süsskartoffelstampf war hervorragend und das Altpieschener sowieso.

Der Service war super. Aufnahme der Getränkebestellung super schnell. Auch das Servieren des Essens ging zügig.

Unfortunately I can't understand the good reviews for the food. Ordered the schnitzel with fries and a small beer for Wednesday for 18.90 euros. Any lunch joint around the corner would have served the food more handsomely. The carelessly prepared and presented food on the plate was not pleasing to the eye. Fried potatoes partly burnt and a tiny portion of salad. This is definitely better. A pity. But the beer tasted good 🍺

We feel Xenophobia. I came the 27 of January at 15:00 with my family asking for a table in which for 15 minutes a waiter with glasses and beard threat us very bad I can even say that the reason was because we are not from here in which he even denied to speak with us and even start laughing with another waitress I can understand that you have a lot of job but being rude and un respectful is something that a restaurant should take care of I don’t recommend this place.

Nette Brauerei mit gutem Essen und freundlicher Bedienung. Sowohl die Auswahl an Bieten, wie auch an Speisen ist gut und nicht überladen. Im Lokal herrscht typische Brauerei-Stimmung und die Toiletten sind sauber. Zufrieden und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Wir besuchen etwa alle vier Wochen eine Watzke-Gaststätte, um das jeweilige Monatsbier zu verkosten. Die leckeren, preiswerten Speisen und das freundliche Personal sind ein weiterer Grund für die Einkehr.

Wir waren gestern als Stammgäste bei watzke am ring.hatten vorbestellt für einen 80.geburtstag,doch leider war davon am Tisch nichts zu sehen,schade.das Essen war wieder sehr lecker.nur im Gastraum war es ziemlich kalt,so dass nicht wirklich eine gemütliche Atmosphäre aufkam.wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder
