Very good location, very nice. Unfortunately still closed as there are apparently still problems with insurance after the fire. Too bad. Hopefully the Nestroy Garden will open again soon.

Delicious food and attentive, friendly waiter. The Munich schnitzel and especially the potato and cucumber salad were very good.

We were drawn here by the Schlemmerblock restaurant. Nestled in the countryside next to a campsite, this somewhat dated restaurant is secluded. The waiters and chef/innkeeper were very friendly. The crispy pork knuckle itself was very good – however, the bread dumplings were very dry, and the mushy sauce and coleslaw lacked flavor. I would recommend other side dishes for the knuckle. My wife's goulash wasn't exactly great either. Conclusion: OK – but I wouldn't go back.

We were on the terrace on April 10th, 2025 and were actually looking forward to a nice evening. The food was really good – nothing to complain about. But unfortunately the service was an absolute disaster. We were asked the same things several times by two different service staff, which suggests a lack of coordination. The waitress's tone was particularly unpleasant - unfriendly, condescending and not very customer-oriented. When we wanted to order a non-alcoholic shandy in 0.5l (as it says on the menu), we were bluntly told that this was “not possible under any circumstances” and that only one measure was possible. Not a problem in itself - but the way it was communicated was simply disrespectful. But the absolute no-go came when the waitress asked us to pay about 50 minutes after our reservation because she “had a lot of reservations inside” and it would “get too cold for us anyway.” We felt completely thrown out and not welcome at all. It's a shame - the food deserved more. But service is a very important part of the experience, and unfortunately there was disappointment across the board.

Wonderful place next to the mighty Donau. Beautiful July day; lunch during motorbike tour. Portions of Leberkäse and Kassler with extras: good basic Bavarian Biergarten food. Tasty! What a place with a view! Will return! Yes, returned in April, enjoyed Currywurst and Bayrischer Wurstsalat for motorbike ride lunch. Superb! Total: 5/5 stars
