Tölzer Bräustüberl in Bad Tölz

From the food to the service, everything was great.

Fast, very friendly, and reasonable prices. A must-visit in Bad Tölz! And, of course, a light beer to go with it. And a second one, if you like.

Stayed in Bad Tölz for 4 nights, ate here for 3 of them. The Bavarian food was always excellent, the best schnitzel I had during my time in Bavaria, and everything else was delicious. Service was very friendly and accommodating - on two occasions we enjoyed a beer before ordering food and the staff were happy for us to go at our own pace, never rushing us to order, which made all the difference. The lovely outside tables were comfortable and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Both the sirloin with chanterelle mushrooms and the lasagna with Bavarian cheese were delicious. Definitely recommend!

We stopped in for a beer and an Obazda (traditional German sausage). High prices in a good location.

Quaint restaurant, unfortunately no home-brewed beer, but the Spaten was still delicious ;-) I completely misjudged the snack menu and should have only ordered one dish. Swiss sausage salad would have been perfectly adequate. Friendly service.

Service was overwhelmed, the landlady was unfriendly, the salad was watery, and the lasagna we ordered was inedible. Never again. Tourist rip-off. A shame.

It's (almost) about the price, not the quality. A Hefeweizen for €5.10 is too much in my opinion and will likely cause me to avoid this place in the future. Especially since it didn't taste like draft beer (although the Franziskaner brand could also be to blame for that) because the flavor wasn't as fruity and "lively" as usual, like on tap. The price would be even more unjustified. I hope you prove me wrong if the beer is on tap. The ambiance and service, of course, leave nothing to be desired. But how about a local wheat beer, like Reutberger on tap? My recommendation.

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. My roast pork was unfortunately completely flavorless, just like the gravy. On the other hand, the red cabbage was seasoned with cinnamon. Well, not really for us.

Seven of us were there today, and we all enjoyed our meal. From the veal schnitzel to the beef and spaetzle to the apple fritters and apricot dumplings—everything was fantastic!

This is our second time eating here. The value for money is good. Decent portions and very tasty. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, and we'll be happy to come back.

Awful Cashier System We had reserved a table for seven people starting at 12:00 PM on Father's Day. The reservation was accepted without any restrictions. We were well looked after with good drinks and food. Suddenly, and without any prior notice, the waitress literally announced to us at 3:30 PM, "The last round at four is reserved..." That was like a vicious eviction. At our request, the friendly waitress graciously showed us a cramped table by the decorative column, which we gratefully accepted. It was clearly evident that the alleged reservation was only intended to free up the table in order to generate new sales. Our freed-up table remained unoccupied for about another hour. Second attempt on June 30, 2025. At 6:00 PM, seven people occupied a free, unreserved table outside. At 7:30 p.m., the friendly waitress, on the landlord's instructions, had to explain to us that a reservation was suddenly made at 8:00 p.m. So, frustrated, we paid and vacated the table. The next guests, as expected, hadn't made reservations... There's a method to this whole thing, and hopefully it will come back to haunt us once the tourists have left and they'd rather rely on local regulars. As a group of men, we will definitely steer clear of this bar that charges customers and spread our displeasure. The term "Bräustüberl" has become a mockery here. Maximum profit over hospitality!!! Food, service, drinks OK...

We ate delicious Kaiserschmarrn. The other food that was brought to our tables also looked very good. The server was very friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a truly lovely stay: The beer garden is a relaxing place to linger, the food was consistently excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive – thank you very much! The only drawback: They only serve Spaten beers. So I opted for a non-alcoholic wheat beer. A comparable Augustiner in town didn't impress us as much, which is why we were all the happier to be able to spend a pleasant and enjoyable time here. Summary: A great place for a relaxing time – sitting comfortably, enjoying delicious food, and being pampered all around. A definite recommendation, we'd love to go back!

A place to feel good At the Tölzer Bräustüberl, everything is just right: attentive service, delicious delicacies, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for another beer. Once you've experienced it, you're sure to come back.

Etwas ab von der Tölzer Marktstraße, aber einfach wunderbar dort im Biergarten zu sitzen. Servicepersonal könnte nicht besser sein! Freundlich, aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Käseplatte einfach ein Genuss mit frisch gebackenem Brot.

We spent a few days in Bad Tölz and on our first evening at the Bräustüberl. A really rustic inn with a lovely beer garden. Delicious Bavarian dishes like crispy roast pork with coleslaw, and a generous portion. Definitely try the Kaiserschmarrn. It's so delicious and fluffy 😋 The staff is very friendly and attentive. Next time we're in Bad Tölz, we'll eat at the Bräustüberl again.

A typically rustic Bavarian inn with good food and a typical Bavarian atmosphere. The food is hearty but also well prepared. Don't expect haute French cuisine, even though some of the dishes on the menu suggest it. It's down-to-earth, good food with a touch of haute cuisine.

We spontaneously stopped by the Bräustüberl for dinner today. We were very satisfied overall. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food was beautifully presented and truly delicious. We had Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage), roast pork, and Kässpätzle (cheese spaetzle). We highly recommend the Bräustüberl.

Wir waren am verlängertes Wochenende sogar zweimal dort und es war zweimal fantastisch! Bei unserem ersten Besuch gab es die Brotzeitplatte und was soll ich sagen: riesige Auswahl, sehr gute Qualität, einfach top! Beim Besuch zwei Tage später gab es ein schönes Abendessen. Das Fleisch, sei es die Rinderlende oder das Schweinefilet, war perfekt gegahrt, die Beilagen war reichhaltig und lecker und in dem Soßen hätte man am liebsten gebadet. Das Personal war allzeit hilfsbereit und super nett. Einfach ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Wir kommen wieder!

The three of us had lunch here today at lunchtime and got a place in the beautiful beer garden, which was even equipped with comfortable seat cushions and blankets. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. The food was a 10/10 for each of us. The side salad was very colorful and creatively designed and had a very good dressing. We also had a very short waiting time for everything. All in all, we can more than recommend the Tölzer Bräustüberl and will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

What can you say just wow, we would give 100 stars if that were possible. Map not too big. Children's menu is simply great, there is rarely so much choice. Children were very accepted and served with a lot of patience. We have never experienced service like this before, just wow. The taste of the food is simply amazing. Only the children's menu could be better marked at the entrance, which would be easier for families. But this is just a small flaw that we are happy to ignore

Very nice beer garden under chestnut trees. From the food we can only judge the roast pork, as it was the only thing in our price range - but unfortunately it wasn't crispy, the sauce was tasteless and probably from the package, as were the dumplings, what was really good was the coleslaw, that was it, unfortunately.

The service was appropriate and also friendly. The food we ordered, half the duck and the spaetzle with cheese, was quite tasteless, so seasoning it at the table didn't help. Well, the duck only took 15 minutes to be in the kitchen after ordering, so that seems to explain many things (salamander). But the side salad was a blast.

Eine sehr unfreundliche " Wirtin" wir wollten den Tisch wechseln der frei war, uns wurde erklärt das sei ein vierer Tisch und wir können nicht wechseln.Im nächsten Moment kam ein Pärchen und setzte sich genau an diesen Tisch.an dem wir nicht Platz nehmen könnten. Die Aussage der " Wirtin "wir können uns ja dazu setzten. Im Biergarten waren ein Drittel der Tische nur mit 2 Personen besetzt. Einmal und nicht wieder. Sehr unfreundlich. das war Altersdiskriminierung. Wir konnten als Behinderte nicht den Tisch wechseln. Der Kommentar und die Art der " Wirtin" war sehr überheblich.

Great food and friendly service, but the experience was spoiled by a rude woman with fake appearance pretending to be the owner. Speaking poor English, she lectured me over my leg on a chair—as if I had put my shoes on the table. Completely disrespectful.

Highly recommended! We had the roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage. Such a delicious meal with red cabbage, it was a true delight. The apple fritters and apricot dumplings were also a highlight. The whole ambiance, the beautiful parlor, and the friendly, prompt service will make us return.

Pleasant pub not far from Gadthof Zant. Not only is there a very pleasant environment, but also a very charming waitress. In the kitchen, perhaps a master of culinary magic, every meal here is fabulously delicious.
