As always, the service here is very quick and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered via Uber Eats. The prices here were quite high, but appropriate for the good food.
Disappointing experience 💔
1️⃣ The grilled pork was heavily charred, with blackened edges. Throughout the meal, small black particles kept appearing and made eating painful as they got stuck in my teeth.
2️⃣ When I brought up the food quality issue with the staff, instead of addressing the concern, they insisted that there was nothing wrong with their food and claimed that I was eating it incorrectly (?).
3️⃣ There was no visible sign at the entrance shows ‘Cash Only’. However, when we tried to pay by card, we were suddenly refused and then directed to a random A4 paper taped to a wall, stating “cash only” in German—without any English translation, which is not tourist-friendly. After we said we had no cash, they surprisingly brought out a card machine, and the payment went through without any issue.
Never coming here again
I saw three people eating a noodle box outside and I thought in these freezing temperatures I needed one too.
It was tasty and actually very good and for €5.50 you can't say anything about it.
But it could have been a little sharper.
This is a local place which seems to do mostly takeaway. But we sat in the restaurant area and were well fed.
Sadly no papaya salad but the rest of the food was very nice and generous portions. A decent glass of wine each.
Credit cards seem to be a big problem all over Germany. They refused to take our Visa debit card but relented when we used Mastercard. Please put up a sign outside with your policies so people know. It’s not difficult.
Rice and peanut sauce were okay and so were the mini spring rolls. The strained shrimp is just batter with a mini shrimp
The crispy chicken is very fatty and basically everything breaded tasted incredibly burnt. The fried noodles weren't really good either. Even in the sweet and sour sauce were there any slimy pieces, perhaps stuck in the warming container? Well we won't be ordering there anymore.
First time buying something to take away there:
Instead of the fried noodles we ordered, there was rice. But paid €2.50 more for it. Duck is flimsy at home because it is packaged with the sauce. It wasn't crispy on top either. Bag broken, container not sealed and it dripped out = mess in the kitchen.
Taste good (soup, sauce, duck breading). Rice ok. Vegetables quite crunchy, but lots of onions... a filler.
I'll personally complain about the missing noodles. I'm curious to see if it's a money back option or a single serving.
Asian wok is simply unbeatable! Despite the constant rush, the service is quick and friendly. The Shichuan chicken, as shown in the picture, is an absolute highlight: tender, spicy and perfectly seasoned. The mini spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce are also a must! But be careful, they are missing from the picture, they were so tasty that we ate them straight away, hehehe! Particularly practical: After eating, you can do your shopping in the HIT market straight away. Perfect all around!
