I ordered my dinner over the phone today and it was picked up in 10 minutes.
The staff was very friendly.
The food was hot.
To eat :
The consistency of the sauce was very thick, but the taste was okay.
There was nothing wrong with the breaded chicken, it was crispy and delicious.
The fried rice is a bit very bland and tasteless
I would like to eat real Asian cuisine, I know it from vacation (Thailand, China, Vietnam, Laos)
The portion is very large
Thanks for the food, maybe you will find your love for food again and cook more authentically.
When I first saw the DAI from the outside when I moved to Deutz, I was sure I would never eat there. However, during the first few weeks in my new apartment, I didn't have a kitchen and was constantly dependent on third-party catering. The generally positive feedback in the comments finally convinced me to give DAI a chance. In the last week before Ikea was finally due to deliver, I became a regular and ate there four times in total...
The price/performance ratio is unbeatable. Similar quality food with the right atmosphere (restaurant) easily costs twice as much. A high-performance extractor hood would do the snack bar good, but I won't deduct a star for that.
From the outside this store seems very inconspicuous, from the inside there is a very great and high-quality atmosphere. The food is of very good quality and made from fresh produce. The portions are very good and I have rarely eaten so well!!
Nothing bad about the food.
But it became very unfriendly about 4 weeks ago because we wanted to pay by card but we did not want to give a tip on the total amount after several requests.
Why do I have to tip someone who only comes to pay?
Why do I have to tip at all? They ask for an amount and I pay that.
If I have to tip the service, I should also tip the cook but for the garbage man, the construction worker who built the restaurant, their suppliers while I know for sure that their suppliers will not get a tip from them either.
Do we also tip the police, fire brigade, cashier, conductor, tax employees for what they are paid for?
But last week was the straw that broke the camel's back after we paid cash we had to ask 3 times to get the thick 8 euros in change back with an angry face. If the wait staff thinks they are underpaid, they should go to their employer and not to the customers they depend on, but apparently they don't care.
I have never had a tip from a wait staff member for my work in my entire life.
I can only recommend this Asian restaurant! Especially the buffet, I love the freshly fried octopus 🐙 with tomatoes, garlic, ginger, lemon, chili, peppers, chitake mushrooms and Thai curry sauce, the fresh seaweed salad and sushi, super friendly team, cleanly maintained, good transport connections to bus and subway, towards the city and Hombruch,
Food was ok, but absolutely disorganized. Some of the things we ordered didn't arrive at all or were delayed by >30-40 minutes. Waiters ignore you, speaking directly to the waiter doesn't work either, saying "Yes, it's coming" - nothing comes, or they just turn away and leave. Repeatedly and with several waiters this was a special case.
Tables were cleared very rarely, so the tables were clearly overcrowded and when handing out new dishes you always had to be careful not to get the waiter's arm in your face or the food knocked out of your hand.
It was definitely not possible to eat relaxed here.
The highlight, however, was the sanitary facilities, the cleanliness/hygiene of the toilets is similar to that of a train station toilet.
Definitely first and last time!
We have been eating at Asia Wok regularly for 2 years because there is simply nothing comparable 😍 All the dishes are so delicious, freshly prepared and with such taste. The number 21. And we particularly like the chop suey. We love the food very much! And the service is very nice.
