Hello, my darling invited me to Gong Bao today and unfortunately we are disappointed. The plates were not warmed beforehand, so the food got cold very quickly and there was still a lot of room for improvement in terms of taste and therefore the price-performance ratio was not right.

I find it very difficult to rate this restaurant. I can totally recommend Gong Bao for one group of people, but for the other group I would advise against it. Personally, I really like the style of the decor there. Everything is clean and the service is courteous, quick and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed the food from the buffet. I also thought the selection was very good! For the plate, which was specially prepared, I chose a piece of beef and a lamb cutlet. Both were terrible! The meat was fried ok, so it wasn't tough, but the taste was extremely borderline. In my opinion, this is not due to the preparation, but rather the product itself. So buffet 4 stars, the Mongolian grill -2. Let's talk about price, which brings me back to the groups of people mentioned at the beginning. If you want to take 2.5 hours and mainly like the buffet - TOP. Definitely go there, drink 3 beers worth 10 euros and eat for 20 euros. Then the 30 euro price with drinks flat rate fits well. I was there today with my 11 year old daughter. 60 euros! Or 120 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. Why does my daughter have to pay as much for a soda as a 120kg man for 4 beers? That really annoyed me and that's why I can't recommend the restaurant for people with children. For 60 euros I would rather go to a nice restaurant with my daughter. As always: everyone has to decide for themselves, this is just my personal opinion 😉

I finally wanted to give a review, We've been eating there for years. The food is always hot and delicious too. The staff is friendly and the used dishes are cleared away immediately. BUT since there is this time limit, you are immediately told in your face that you can ONLY stay here for 2.5 hours (otherwise you have to pay) then you immediately don't feel like it anymore and would like to turn around and leave, because if so man already pays €30 per person, and that's €130 per family, and we go there with several families and then you pay €500 and you want to spend the time together and eat something and chat in peace, but You then constantly look at the clock because it has remained in the back of your mind because of these strange TIME LIMITS!!!

We've been coming to Gong Bao for many years, but our visit last night was of the lowest quality. Never again. All hot meat dishes were only lukewarm and tasted the same, full of glutamate and the cheapest meat. The duck was just cartilage and fat, canned mushrooms and fried rice that was dried out and squished together and stuck in the container. The whole buffet is inferior and overpriced Diarrhea and stomach cramps accompanied me all night long.

Everything was delicious, price/performance was right. There are a few parking spaces and the robot sings HAPPY Birthday and serves the fried food. The staff is also nice and quick, with a smile on their faces. The location is a bit old school.

There was live music. Discreet!

So...what can I say? A very nice restaurant with a good atmosphere and nice staff. By the way, there are now robots that are funny and put you in a good mood. You can refill your drinks yourself and have your dishes warmed up (e.g. fish). The chocolate fountains are very good as is the ice cream and most of the things there. The staff is always in a good mood and is always available to answer any questions or requests. Definitely worth a visit.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! Camera surveillance at the table, the whole store is monitored with cameras and that's a reason not to go there! What happens to the records? The food is more than bad, visually it looks tempting but the taste is more than bad! Pure fat, but very low-quality fat, meat cannot be defined. It's definitely not Chinese cuisine, it just looks Asian in terms of appearance! Sushi is more than bad, every discount store sushi tastes better! Anyone who gives 5 stars here has no idea about food or they are already immune from bags of ready meals. I've never had such a bad meal as I did in this restaurant! Ambience 0 stars, terrible lighting and it looks like a Great Britain, very uncomfortable and cold the atmosphere. Only the operation can be rated positively, the rest can be rated worse than ZERO! Food was ok but unfortunately everything tasted pretty much the same. And I think it has become very expensive. We paid 81 euros for 3 people (2 adults, 1 child), which is really steep. Especially since a 7-year-old child doesn't eat nearly enough to justify just under 20 euros, unfortunately they won't be coming back

Freshly fried octopus with tomatoes, garlic, chili, ginger, fresh lemon, peppers with Thai curry sauce or peanut sauce is delicious! Super tasty buffet, very friendly staff, clean restaurant, good bus-tram connection, soft drinks are included in the buffet. As an attraction, a robot drives through the aisles and prepares the food, which always makes not only the children but also me smile 😃. The dessert is a selection of fresh seasonal fruit, ice cream, baked goods and jelly with vanilla sauce. Today is March 10, 24 Me here again, delicious seaweed and fresh octopus 🐙.

So anyone who really gives this 5/5 stars really has no taste or has never really eaten before. The flesh is unbearable, sinews and cartilage everywhere. Very nice Chinese restaurant. Furnished according to the country. Lots of space, but it doesn't feel like a hall. Just the right size. The food is always freshly prepared. Nothing is over-seasoned. Very diverse. Ate buffet. Here too you can put fish, meat, vegetables and much more together and have it fried. Everything else, like chicken, duck, baked shrimp and much more is also very tasty 😋. Also the mussels with chili and garlic. vegetables and salads. Dessert very versatile. There is also ice cream, pudding, fresh fruit. Always happy to come back. The staff very nice and attentive. Delicious food. Not so full of choice. But that's exactly how it's beautiful. It's quiet there. Everything is self-service except wine. If you have fresh ingredients fried, a robot will deliver the food to you.

I was here for the first time yesterday. I celebrated my nephew's communion party with my family and co. and yesterday was Mother's Day. I knew the restaurant by a different name back then. Nice atmosphere, outside and inside. The food was delicious. I also ate sushi. I think the drinks flat rate is great! I noticed that there was this nice relaxing music playing in the toilets🧘. I don't think so in the restaurant itself (I didn't pay attention...). It would be nicer to hear them there too. 😊

I can't understand the negative comments here in any way. Some people should think about where they come from! The food tasted very good - every single thing I ate. The buffet was immediately refilled. The service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is modern and cozy. Hygiene is maintained, toilets are very clean! And for the price of around €22 for the lunch buffet including two drinks, you really can't complain.

Gong Bao hat eine frische Theke wo man sich Zutaten zusammensuchen und zubereiten lassen kann. Ich bin gerne ab und zu mit Freunden oder der Familie hier, kann ich wirklich empfehlen, guter Preis!

Wir waren dort mit der Familie auf Grund einem Tip von Freunden. Ganz ehrlich, wer großen Hunger hat, dem das Ambiente egal ist und auch kein Problem hat mit Fussball Gästen die schon 5 Bier zu viel im Tank haben für die passt das. Das Buffet hat eine große Auswahl ob Fisch, Fleisch oder Geflügel alles da aber vieles sehr zerkocht. Neben einer Heisstheke gleich die Kühltheke mit Fisch der direkt zubereitet wird. Ob das Hygienisch alles so passt (heiß + kalt) stelle ich in Frage. Die Tische werden direkt abgeräumt und gereinigt der Boden klebt aber beim gehen vor lauter Reiniger. Als Gadget gibt es eine MiniRobo der das Essen direkt zum Tisch bringt, leider packen die Gäste auch Ihre dreckigen Teller auf die Tablets des MiniRobo. Fazit es war in Ordnung muss man aber nicht ein zweites Mal besuchen

Good buffet. Just a little too open.

This is a smaller sized Chinese buffet versus others in the city which is nice because it feels welcoming. They have an adequate selection however it would have been nice to have more vegetarian sushi options. The beer and soft drinks are included in the price, wine is extra. The waitstaff tried very hard and were very friendly. They were always quick to take the empty plates away. They have tables for all sizes of groups. Many people, including us, were there to celebrate a birthday. They have the robot that delivers food sing happy birthday with a large sparkler. They also have a kids play area in the back which is great for kids who get bored during dinner.

Since there is only a buffet in the evening and it costs 29.90 euros per person, I expect something hot Eat.

The buffet was rich, but unfortunately the food wasn't quite as fresh. They've probably been on the warming plate for a while. The ambience was a bit old, the price was ok. On a public holiday at lunchtime 28.90 euros. The service was great.

We got a table for 3 people on a Saturday evening without a reservation (around 7 p.m.). The food was plentiful; in addition to the all-you-can-eat buffet, there is also the option of having fish/seafood or meat prepared separately. Deliveries are then made by a musical service robot (the music was sometimes a bit too loud and annoying). The sushi was okay, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, vegetarians will also find plenty of choice here. Fresh fruit and two chocolate fountains, ice cream or small cakes for dessert were fine (although I wonder why the Chinese offer cheesecake). The coffee from the machine, however, was terrible. Soft drinks are included in the price, and there are also 3 alcoholic drinks per person. However, it is not enough for a 5 star rating.

5 years ago I found this excellent place. With elegant tables and chairs. With various fresh dishes and delicious cakes.I came back 3 days ago (March 9, 2024).Terrible. From fatty foods to nested meals.You can't pull up the chair to leave the table because you'll hit the person sitting behind you.Your privacy at the table is not respected, nor is the NORMAL distance between the Tables.I wanted mutton chops for which I found ice cream.🤨I took them to the cook and he made them into rubber.As well as beef, rubber.It could not be eaten.The table (stove) where the food is prepared looks Terrible. Plastic bottles filled with liquid (I asked what they were and he told me it was "water with oil"). He sprinkled them on all the food he cooked. A health check is recommended here. The staff doesn't speak German. You can only get by with about 2 of them.Normally, going out to eat outside the house relaxes me.But here I ruined my day and I'm sorry I had to leave them 130 euros (4 people) for nothing.From that Because of the bad and very fatty food, I couldn't EAT ANYTHING. I said I should at least try the rice, it was dry. I only ate 2 pieces of cake. 130 euros... sad. Ordered something from Too Good To Go. Picked up with my own can. The food was very salty and unfortunately didn't taste as tasty as the previous visits. but TGTG is about riding food, so brought home a full can and had lunch at a reasonable price.

Employees are very nice, The tables are screened off with built-in partitions, so you have a lot of privacy, even when all the tables are occupied. The food is very tasty, especially the sushi is delicious, very great selection of free non-alcoholic drinks at the buffet. It was our first time there, but definitely not the last time. We'll definitely see each other again soon :)

Food from the buffet wasn't really warm, the cola from the dispenser was diluted and not very carbonated, the food from the grill was tough and way too well done. Some plates were not washed properly. But very expensive at 32.90 euros.

The food was good, nothing special. There is a service robot bringing the cooked meal to the table. The explanation was a bit lacking. There is no table service for drinks or anything. The personnel overall seemed a bit unfriendly and not very happy. The atmosphere was okay not really that good. The price is my main critique, the 30€ per person is a very hefty price to pay especially if the one you are with doesn't eat that much

Food is average, ambience okay. What's not okay at all are the prices. Therefore 1 star. €30.90 for the buffet including drinks is simply too much for the quality offered. Honestly. We've been there several times, but the price increase is really excessive. We will therefore avoid the restaurant.

Very tasty food, plenty of choice. All dishes were very warm to hot. The buffet was always refilled straight away so there was always plenty. Service very friendly and accommodating. The ambience also gets a full 5 stars because it is clear and not as crowded as the large temples where you can no longer understand your own words. We will be back.

Gong Bao reopened in August 2017 after renovations. Now there is a Chinese buffet at lunchtime and a Mongolian buffet in the evening. First the positive: drinks (cola, water, juices, etc.) are included in the price. The furnishings also look very modern. But that's about it for the positive things. The restaurant is very bright and is ultimately a large hall. A cozy get-together looks different. For the buffet: A counter with salad and desserts (what's baklava in a Chinese restaurant?); A counter with main courses, where there were 4 (four!) ready-made Chinese dishes. Plus tortellini etc. For me this has nothing to do with a good Chinese buffet, especially since the food was edible, but not tasty. Then a third counter for the Mongolian buffet and a small counter with dry, not very appetizing sushi. In my opinion, the restaurant should concentrate on its base, Chinese food, and not serve dishes from all over the world. Maybe. it would then be worth a visit again.

Today we ate at Gong Bao again after a long time and were honestly SHOCKED! Some of the food wasn't cooked properly and I had a foreign hair in the food. We saw the kitchen staff through the window in the door and there were 3 kitchen staff standing on the table cleaning the upper cupboards. Then someone came out of the kitchen (just before closing time), stood with his back to us and was doing something at the buffet, he came out of the kitchen with gloves and scratched his butt in front of us and went back into the kitchen with the same gloves. We were so disappointed and said it was definitely our last visit! Paid almost €130 for 4 people! No problem at all, but for such service? Sorry, I'd rather go somewhere else for a fancy meal!!

We had dinner there with over 15 people, 10 of whom suddenly became ill that same evening. Service was terribly bad. Tables were not cleared. Unfriendly staff. There was hair in the dessert buffet. We were rudely asked to leave 15 minutes before our regular closing time. & that at a table that left €700 there, sad.

Mostly it was great food, except squid rings which were most likely from yesterday. Also on the raw food table, the lamb was frozen and after roasting it was uneatable, like rubber. So I would rate the food between 4 and 5 stars. The service was dreadful. Even though there were four of us at the table and we paid together and two wines per person were included in the buffet price, they requested us to pay for the third wine on the table, saying that only one person has drank all those wines. Moreover they put on a horrid performance with angry screams and threatened us that they would show us a video where supposedly only one person drank all the wine. So it turns out they also filmed us?!

Waren zum Kindergeburtstag dort essen. Es schmeckt dort alles sehr gut. Das Geburtstagskind bekommt eine Tischfontäne und ein Ständchen vom dort fahrenden Roboter. Alles in allem ein schönes nicht zu großes Restaurant.

Szczerze powiedziawszy zawiodłem się. Bardzo mały wybór dań. Jedzenie dobre, ale nie wybitne. Byłem w Święta i cena jest nie adekwatna do ilości i jakości dań (33 euro za osobę). Drogo, ciasno i mnóstwo ludzi. Po prostu widać politykę, byle więcej zarobić. Szkoda. Ja już tam nie wrócę. Są inne tego typu restauracje, gdzie cena jest dużo niższa, a wybór dań 5 razy większy.
