My family and I had a truly wonderful experience at this restaurant. The main reason for this was Victoria, who looked after us. We've recently moved to Germany and are still in the process of learning German. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, and supported us in such a lovely way—I would like to thank her so much for that. If I go back to this restaurant, I definitely want to sit at the table Victoria is in charge of. I think employers should reward employees like her. She even briefly chatted with us about football as she walked by—a truly very polite, personable, and friendly employee. I thank her from the bottom of my heart. See you soon!

What was that? It wasn't my first time there, but it might be the last. I've never experienced having to wait at least 15 minutes for food. Normally, it arrives piece by piece, taking just a minute. How can it take 20 minutes for ice cream? That's not normal. We've already ordered food for the third round, even though the second one didn't even arrive because it took so long... that's NOT OK!

We were here with a group of 9 people and had made a reservation. When we walked in, we were barely greeted, the tablets weren't explained to us, and we were only briefly asked if we had been there before. One person in the group confirmed that they hadn't, and several others denied that they hadn't. Here, we were simply noticing that we had. At the table, you could easily hear the conversations of the other tables, even though their voices weren't actually that loud, and sometimes they were louder than your own. We personally didn't like the interior design, especially the stone statue that was squatting next to the table as if defecating. But of course, this depends on your taste. The tables and tablets were clean, and it wasn't a problem to put two tables together, which is a definite plus. The drinks are reasonably priced at €6-7 for a lemonade, around €4 for a Coke, and €3 for a tea. As mentioned, you could order food via a tablet. Here, we had a tablet for 4 people, and you could order 4 dishes per round, so in our case, 16 dishes per round, every 15 minutes. You could order a maximum of 6 rounds of food, which meant you could only order drinks and dessert in the 7th. The selection was large, but more than a third of the items cost extra. My main problem, however, was that the items arrived very late, even if the same item was ordered in the same round. For example, my colleagues had already ordered their third round while items from my first order round were still arriving. Also, items kept coming, either not at all or incorrectly, meaning they weren't ordered by anyone at our table. Once, I tried to find or speak to a waiter because instead of udon noodles and a chicken skewer, I got a shrimp skewer and regular noodles, and no one else at our table had ordered either of those. Finding a waiter proved difficult; no one looked at the table or in our direction, and even when serving food to other tables, the waiters were gone in a flash, which seemed more rushed than professional. When I finally asked a waiter who came to our table to collect our empty dishes, he looked completely overwhelmed and couldn't understand my question about whether I could exchange the food or return it free of charge and get my order. Only when someone else offered to take my order did the waiter get used to it, gave him the order, and offered to pass my order back to the manager. In general, it was difficult, if not impossible, to ask questions or speak to a waiter. The food itself was ambivalent in terms of taste, quality, and portion size. There were options for ordering two small pieces of maki or one nigiri, but also whole bowls with a few toppings and otherwise tons of cold rice. Some of the food was very tasty, some bland, like the miso soup or the gyoza, but some of the vegetarian sushi, for example, tasted fermented, or the rice was several days old and cold. Heat was generally the problem. Skewers, steak, rice, breaded maki, and more arrived cold, even when they were deep-fried or pan-fried, and other times they arrived warm. For dessert, there were free fried bananas, Raffaellos, and ice cream. There were theoretically seven flavors of ice cream, but at the time of our meal, only three. You could place one order per person, with a maximum of three scoops. Unfortunately, the ice cream arrived half-melted, and even then, after a very long wait. Finally, paying was problem-free. You could pay for the people sharing the tablet either together or separately. If you wanted to pay separately, you just had to specify which of the extras belonged to your own bill. So it was a very mixed evening, very enjoyable thanks to the company, but we won't go again.

We ate there in August and unfortunately had a rather mixed experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which we really want to highlight. Ordering from a tray was also cool and easy. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but there's no room for jackets or bags, which is quite inconvenient. Many dishes were unfortunately cold and the overall taste was very bland – not just the sauces, but also the food itself didn't impress us. That was quite disappointing for us, especially considering the prices. The drinks, on the other hand, were really great and saved the evening to some extent. Another annoying thing was that the entrance door was broken – you couldn't open it yourself from the outside because there was no handle, so the staff had to help you every time. Overall: very friendly service and good drinks, but the food and some organizational aspects still have a lot of room for improvement.

While we were still able to give this place 5 stars across the board four years ago, only the food remains very good. The ambiance has deteriorated considerably, as defects are not repaired and remedied. The attached photos of the restroom are just one example, as I didn't want to take photos in the restaurant itself. One gets the impression that the place is now used solely as a cash cow to extract money, with little emphasis on the appearance and ambiance as it was a few years ago. This is probably also the reason for the drastic decline in visitors and employee numbers. It's a shame about such a beautiful basic concept, which will probably disappear from Kleppingstraße sooner or later.

We visited Mu-Kii downtown for another visit, and it was a bit mixed. It's interesting that you can order dishes using a tablet. With each order, you can order four dishes per person. The next ones arrive after 15 minutes. Drinks, however, are exempt from this rule and can always be ordered. Some dishes were lukewarm, some were actually hot. Overall, we enjoyed the dishes. The specials menu, which offers new creations every now and then, deserves special mention. The drinks took a long time to arrive because we already had our first dishes on the table. It's important to note that not all dishes are included in the all-you-can-eat menu. For example, salmon or tuna sashimi costs extra. The team at Mu-Kii downtown is very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has been expanded to include an additional room, providing even more seating. There is also an outdoor seating area. The noise level was okay, but the tables are very close together.

Three of us were there yesterday. It was quite busy for a Wednesday during the school holidays at 6 p.m. The food was okay; it's a kind of all-you-can-eat, so don't expect too much. The sushi, for example, was OK, but the lamb was a bit tough and not cooked well (tendon). That's the spectrum. Overall, good, but not outstanding. There were problems throughout the evening; at some point, the ordered items don't arrive, arrive very late, or are incorrect. It's annoying and also tarnishes the overall experience. I only go there once every few months. The atmosphere is quite nice, sometimes in the city, sometimes at Phoenix Lake. The good thing was that it wasn't as loud as at the lake. Conclusion: I'll definitely go again, but it wouldn't be my preferred feeding place.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The service was very slow – we had to ask for a tray twice before we were even served. The soy sauce tasted like it had vinegar in it, and the wasabi wasn't at all spicy, like you'd expect from a good wasabi. The Coke was also unfortunately still carbonated. The sushi was delicious, though – that somewhat salvaged the overall impression. Overall, the value for money wasn't right for me. What a shame!

We ordered food, and each time something was missing from our order. I went to the waiter three times without success, but I still didn't get the edamame. When paying, we pointed out that we had asked for it several times, but we didn't receive any compensation. I won't be going to this place again, as no one tried to accommodate us. They then told us that since we only had five rounds, it wouldn't be worth it to get a discount. We came across mu Kii, one of the V-Spots, and "luckily" paid around €55 for the all-you-can-eat food. Drinks cost €11 on top, and sauces actually cost extra there, like the sweet and sour sauce in my case. Unfortunately, the waiters were extremely slow, so some of the food arrived cold. When I sent back the noodles from the first round (we were in the 4th round) because they were simply cold, the waitress came back and brought me "new" ones. They were so extremely salty that I had the feeling "put soy sauce on them, turn on the microwave, that's fine." On top of that, things arrived at our table twice or the wrong items. The meat was shoe-like, whether in the soup or marinated, it really was "stuffing puller", you chewed and chewed and it just didn't get any better. The chicken was very dry, but the sushi was okay. The drinks were full of ice, so after just a short time, they tasted diluted... which is a real shame. We would have paid around €90 for that, which, in my opinion, is absolutely not worth it.

Today was our first time at this branch and unfortunately also our last. The service left a lot to be desired. The food took ages to arrive; 10 minutes after being greeted we were given a tablet which didn't even work. Then we got food from other tables and ours didn't arrive because the waiters couldn't understand or read German very well. When we paid we were told we didn't have any change and so couldn't get the full change. We'll stick to the branch at Phönixsee; everything is much better there... there's a world of difference.

The value for money here is completely out of the question: For the prices quoted, you get neither good quality nor reasonable service. The food was a disaster – either completely oversalted or completely tasteless. On top of that, the selection is much smaller than advertised online. Many items also have to be ordered separately and paid for extra, which drives the already high price even higher. Another major drawback is the waiting time: You can only order four items at a time and then have to wait a full 15 minutes before you can even order more. This drags on and makes the visit extremely stressful. Overall, the waiting times are very long and absolutely unacceptable. Particularly annoying: Many of the ordered dishes never arrived at our tables. Although we politely pointed this out to the staff several times, they still didn't arrive. For us, it was the first and last time. There are definitely better alternatives in Dortmund.

We mentioned several times that my boyfriend has a fatal sesame allergy and that our food isn't allowed to touch sesame. Apparently, this was reported to the kitchen, but there was still sesame stuck to the bottom of our sushi. If we hadn't seen this, it would have been life-threatening for my partner. Furthermore, the service was extremely poor. Some of the food didn't even arrive; a Coke took 20-30 minutes to arrive in a restaurant that wasn't full, and any questions weren't answered at all. The food was delicious, but for that price, I expect adequate service that can at least communicate with me in one of the languages. I really can't recommend it :/

We came from far away, and it was a complete disappointment. Every dish we ordered was lukewarm to cold. It was as if the food had come out of a microwave. -The fried noodles: Cold. It was more like a pepper noodle stir-fry. The pepper pieces were so long that you could tell the chef didn't care about chopping the vegetables. I wouldn't be surprised if the chef had included a whole pepper with the noodles. -The lamb chops were cold and overcooked. Additionally, the meat quality was subpar. The price/performance ratio was absolutely terrible. My partner and I paid €81 for such a disappointment. Never again.

This meal costs 38 euros. The fried chicken wings and sweet potatoes are extremely greasy and moist, as if you were chewing on a mouthful of oil – completely lacking the crispiness you expect from fried food. The Spicy Rock sauce is very salty, and a thick layer of oil collects at the bottom. The whole thing is absolutely not worth the price. The maguro was not fresh at all. As soon as I picked it up, I could smell an extremely strong fishy odor. My mouth lacked any fresh, sweet taste you'd expect from sushi. After swallowing, I immediately felt nauseous – the rest ended up in the trash. The fish slices were also so thin that you could almost see the rice underneath. This was by far the worst sushi I've eaten in Germany. I will definitely never return and absolutely cannot recommend this place.

Food was ok, but absolutely disorganized. Some of the things we ordered didn't arrive at all or were delayed by >30-40 minutes. Waiters ignore you, speaking directly to the waiter doesn't work either, saying "Yes, it's coming" - nothing comes, or they just turn away and leave. Repeatedly and with several waiters this was a special case. Tables were cleared very rarely, so the tables were clearly overcrowded and when handing out new dishes you always had to be careful not to get the waiter's arm in your face or the food knocked out of your hand. It was definitely not possible to eat relaxed here. The highlight, however, was the sanitary facilities, the cleanliness/hygiene of the toilets is similar to that of a train station toilet. Definitely first and last time!

The sushi creations are not only a visual highlight, but also impress in terms of taste. You can tell that the attention to detail is worked here. The warm dishes are also excellently prepared and of high quality. The staff is friendly, courteous and always with a smile - you immediately feel welcome. An evening to forget - disappointment in the Muki Our visit to Muki in the city center should have been a sociable, enjoyable evening - but unfortunately it turned into a real letdown. There were four of us, looking forward to a culinary evening in a restaurant with a seemingly good reputation. But as soon as we entered we had an uneasy feeling. The first impression? Sobering. Our table was also completely dirty. Nobody seemed to feel responsible until, after ten minutes, someone finally arrived with a visibly worn, smelly cleaning rag. Attempting to “clean” the table with it left an even stickier film than before – forcing us to wipe it down ourselves. We still wanted to be lenient, after all the restaurant was well attended. But as the all-you-can-eat experience began, the next big problem became apparent: the wait times. We had already visited many similar restaurants, but the speed at which orders were taken and served was simply unacceptable. A full 60% of our orders never arrived at all - and if they did, then after what felt like an eternity. There were always long periods of complete radio silence during which nothing was served. While we had reordered several times, we were still waiting for our first dishes. The height of absurdity? When we gave up after waiting for more than an hour, individual dishes suddenly arrived with a delay - ones that we had long since written off. A prime example of a lack of organization and chaotic service management. For a restaurant in this price range, such poor service is an absolute disgrace. Anyone who accepts reservations and wants to serve guests should ensure that both the staff and the kitchen can handle the demand. If that doesn't work, the problem clearly lies with management - and not with the guests who are paying for a lovely evening. Conclusion: There will definitely not be a second chance for us. Our evening was ruined and almost €200 for this service is simply outrageous. Why there were no tips that evening should have been more than obvious to everyone involved.

We have 8 people at 2 tables and 2 tablets (for those who have never been there before, you can order the food via tablet) and we had problems because the staff always put the food at the front and we had to look at which table what belongs to even though the tables have numbers! The second problem was later with the dessert. My friend had ordered lemon ice cream and it didn't come until we asked. Then the ice cream came but the wrong one (Cocos). We then asked the waitress who was standing next to us and she said I can only imagine that there was no lemon left! Why don't we say so? Imagine someone sitting there who has an allergy to coconut and takes a bite. But overall quite OK (food great)

The food at Mukii is truly top-notch! For an all-you-can-eat restaurant, the quality and selection are surprisingly good. Everything is freshly prepared, and orders arrive quickly. We were particularly impressed by the sushi variations and the hot dishes. A small note: The tables are a bit closer together, which adds to the lively atmosphere, but it might offer a bit less space for some guests. Disappointing visit – never again Mukii in the city center! Today I was at Mukii in the city center for the first time, after having regularly visited Mukii at Phoenix Lake for years. Unfortunately, my experience here was anything but satisfactory. The service was simply a disaster. The waiters seemed completely incompetent - our order was taken incorrectly twice and then brought to the table incorrectly. But the chaos didn't stop there: the drinks round always came far too late, and it was only after asking three times that our drinks were finally served to us. To make matters worse, the evening ended with another disagreement: we ended up receiving a drink that we hadn't ordered at all. Although we had already gotten up and paid the bill, we were again informed at the checkout that something was apparently wrong with the billing and we had to pay for another drink. When we politely asked the manager about these shortcomings, things got even worse. Instead of behaving in a professional and customer-oriented manner, he immediately became loud, didn't let us finish, and treated us in an unfriendly, almost disrespectful manner. All in all, this visit was a huge disappointment. The comparison to Mukii on Lake Phoenix is ​​frightening - while the service there was always top-notch, the city center branch seems to lack basic gastronomic standards. I definitely won't come here again.

I have been a customer for three years. I can now say that my last visits in the last six months were really bad until I finally decided not to visit this place anymore! The waiters aren't what they used to be. They play with their cell phones all the time, only show up every 15-20 minutes and don't feel like serving the guests. The manager is rude and I think he made the store an unpleasant place to be! Just an unfriendly person! On my last visits there were only 3 flavors of ice cream out of 8 and a lot of it wasn't available. A cola is far too expensive and tastes watered down! For the money I pay I expect much more than what the store offers these days! It's a shame that I have to write like this about a once great store, I would never have thought of it!

The food was basically okay. We, a group of four, arrived at 8:30 p.m. We were told the kitchen closes at 9:45pm, but were offered to skip the usual 15 minute wait between orders in order to order faster. However, this suggestion was only implemented once at the beginning, after which we still had to wait 15 minutes for the next order. We also had to wait around 10 to 15 minutes between courses, which normally shouldn't be the case. We placed the last order at 9:32 p.m., but nothing was served until 10 p.m. When we asked the waitress about it, she didn't seem to know about the pending order and instead offered us ice cream and said that the kitchen had already left. After further probing, she called the boss, who, after checking in the kitchen, claimed the order had been filled, even though this was not true. He portrayed us as liars and continued to argue even though there was no corresponding plate to be seen on our table. Finally he offered us a 10% discount, which was not correctly applied to the invoice that was later checked outside. Instead, he added an item for €13 and then discounted it. We were very disappointed by the manager's outrageous behavior and poor handling of the situation. We will not recommend this restaurant based on this experience and will rate it negatively.

There are big differences in quality when it comes to the food at MuKii Dortmund City and Phönixsee. After several visits, it always tastes good in the city center, really tasty and cooked to perfection. At Phönixsee you primarily notice, let's say, a “sales-oriented management” of the restaurant. Mukii am Phönixsee is highly overrated with its location, which you can tell from the food. Mukii in the city center is highly recommended!

This was our first time eating at Mu-Kii and we really enjoyed it. At first it took quite a long time for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was completely empty. We had to wait a long time, especially for the drinks. Unfortunately we didn't find them that tasty either. But later things went a little faster. I can't recommend this place any more When we came the chairs were dirty. There were two of us there and we ordered sushi spring rolls, gyoza, soup and noodles. The starters weren't great and tasted like frozen food. The menu also said you would get 2 spring rolls for 5€, but only one came, we had to ask several times and get the service person to serve us. When we got the food we had to ask for cutlery and napkins. You don't need a juice shop.

We have been here several times. There are further locations in Dortmund Phoenixsee, as well as in Essen and Düsseldorf. The concept involves Asian tapas that are ordered with a tablet and then brought to the table. You can order in several rounds and several dishes in each round. The individual dishes are rather small, but the variety that you can order in several rounds means you will be more than full. The selection is very large. The whole thing isn't cheap, so it's more for the special food. You should be familiar with the tablet. We have been here several times and will happily use it again in the future. Alternatively, you can now also order “normal” dishes from the menu. But we haven't tried that yet.

I understood that the choice of food was either 'all you can eat called lunch' or a à la carte. Everything is quite dark from the outside, which doesn't invite you to enter. Inside it is chicly furnished. The waitress came and explained the concept to us in a very friendly manner (all you can eat / a la cart). We chose the latter and were quite surprised that there was no wine at A la Cart, but at All you can there was...incomprehensible. So whatever food was brought in while we were waiting and afterwards...can only come from the assembly line. Our plates came...plentiful, but the taste was totally bland. The constant running back and forth of the waitress, due to all you can, made you feel like you were at a train station.

My husband and I were there again yesterday after a long time. We arrived at lunchtime (around 3pm) and were asked by the waiter if we wanted to eat à la carte or All You Can Eat. We chose All You Can Eat, which we had seen on the website as “lunch” at €21.80. We were provided an iPad which we used to order several rounds. Some items were marked “Dinner only”, which we didn’t select because we assumed we were taking advantage of the lunch offer and they weren’t included there. When we ordered the bill, we were surprised that we were charged the dinner price (€33.80). We spoke to the waiter about it, who wanted to clarify the situation for us. After 15 minutes the waiter came back and said we had ordered and taken advantage of the dinner offer. Apparently it is now possible to order the evening menu at lunchtime too. We didn't know that and we weren't told about it at any point. Since you can see the order history on the iPads, you could see that we hadn't ordered anything from the evening menu. Unfortunately, we accidentally ordered ONE piece of sushi from the evening menu due to the confusing menu. Nevertheless, they didn't want to accommodate us and charged us twice for the more expensive menu. We're talking about a total difference of €24 for an offer that we verifiably didn't even use. I find this incredibly unfair and non-transparent. That was my last visit to Mu-Kii. As a comparable restaurant, I recommend Yumini (also in the city center), here the times and prices are clear and you won't be ripped off.

We were at Mu-Kii with a larger group and I had previously checked the American Express website to see whether the restaurant accepted Amex - it was listed there. This was important for me because I am currently collecting minimum sales for a welcome bonus. The Amex acceptance was one of the reasons we chose this restaurant. Unfortunately, Amex was not accepted for payment. Although I didn't see an acceptance sticker, if the restaurant is listed on the official Amex site, you can rely on it. We generated generous sales here (around EUR 260!) that I wouldn't have made otherwise. The pan-Asian food was okay by German standards, the service was good, but the music was a tad too loud. And the Amex problem really ruined my evening. I left the store feeling very angry, as it was also awkward to announce to my friends that I was picking up the bill - only to find out that my credit card wasn't accepted. I have already reported the matter to Amex.

We order every Sunday. The food is delicious and usually arrives super fast. The delivery drivers are friendly too. I always order via WhatsApp, which is totally straightforward, and they usually reply within minutes. The prices are fair, and the portions are perfect :)
