Restaurant WanHao in Erkelenz

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated somewhat. Some of the sushi was still very cold, probably because it had just been thawed. The duck was also quite low in meat on my last visits. In addition, the buffet was almost empty two hours before closing. Given that the prices are now quite high compared to other Chinese restaurants, I find this disappointing. I would like to come back, but the points mentioned urgently need to be improved.

It was very nice to eat on site, the staff was friendly and it was well distributed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at WanHao Restaurant and absolutely loved the experience! The restaurant's ambience is welcoming and authentic, perfect for a leisurely dinner. The service was attentive and friendly; The staff responded to all of our wishes and made sure that we didn't lack anything. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. I will definitely return and recommend WanHao to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine.

As always, very tasty and lots of choice. Rooms could be designed better (room too big with loud background noise). Food good, staff very friendly.

Very tasty food and large buffet selection. The fresh cooking of food is done quickly and is delivered very coolly by a robot. The buffet is regularly refilled and the waiters are very friendly. Parking is limited to at the restaurant or at Rewe across the street

Delicious selection especially for the Mongolian grill! In principle I would give this 5 stars. However, a big drawback is that, depending on the day and time, you may have to wait an hour for your plate to be fried... that's a no go in my opinion. After complaining twice, we each got a drink on the house.

The only negative point is the acoustics it is very loud. Some would have to be installed between walls so that the noise would be a little quieter. It is difficult to have a conversation at a large table. Otherwise a great big restaurant 👍🏼

Always very well taken care of and also very tasty. Too much to try at once. Chocolate fountain, enough ice, grill and add your own garlic, sauces and ginger. Nice that a Robot comes to bring him food.

I've been here several times before but this time it didn't taste so good...... Peking soup top Smurf ice cream also top...... Unfortunately many of the dishes get cold quickly....... But otherwise recommended.. .

Like all Asian locals, nothing special mass produced. But the prices are really crazy for a child who was just there, you can do that. We won't be coming back.

We give it 5/5 stars. We had a family baptism in August, but nothing big planned afterward. So we decided to invite our guests to the restaurant. The food was varied and there was something for everyone. Service, courteous and always friendly. Considering that the restaurant is not designed for baptisms, everything was great. Our thirty guests all went home full and satisfied.

We went to WanHoe for a family celebration on Sunday. The food was, as always, very good and fresh. The selection is enormous. All service staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant deserves these five stars.

There were four of us eating there, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food, it was excellent, the service was very, very friendly and accommodating, the food was well seasoned and there were a lot of people there to eat. The price-performance ratio was right because only the cold drinks tasted good Being a little thin doesn't stop me from continuing to eat there 👍👍👍👍

We've been here several times for lunch with the family and it was really nice. The buffet offers something for everyone, from starters to desserts, everything is very tasty and fresh, with a wide selection. The service is also very friendly. We'll definitely be back. There are only a few parking spaces at the restaurant, but you can also park in the REWE parking lot opposite (maximum 2 hours).

The entire evening buffet offered a very good selection. We happened to hear that the man who usually roasted the meat live was sick and a replacement was there. That was the only drawback of the evening, the representative delivered the meat so burnt that it was tough and no longer edible for me. Otherwise the entire buffet and all dishes left nothing to be desired. I I thought it was very nice, was with my child and my best friend. The restaurant wasn't very busy even though it was Saturday. But it felt like everyone who was there celebrated their birthday there. The robot waiter sang diligently. The atmosphere is suitable for young and old.

Danger! Dogs are allowed into the restaurant here Two huge dogs were sitting just a few meters away from me. Drooling and constantly shaking. The condition just smiled when I asked her about it.

Uncomfortable atmosphere, greasy table, Food absolutely not tasty, fried rice tasteless and rather overcooked... For me personally it was definitely not worth the money. Toilets smell extremely unpleasant and strongly of urine. I'm super disappointed & won't be coming back

I had a fantastic dining experience at WanHao in Erkelenz. The food was incredibly tasteful and authentic, with a wide variety of dishes. The service was quick and friendly which made the whole experience even better.

Very good buffet, clean and always freshly refilled. A small robot also drives and brings food. Very tasty and quick. Come again.

There is a lot as always but I think most people don't realize that the taste and quality has deteriorated.

Anyone who visits this temple of margin cramps and diarrhea has to wait 20 minutes despite having a reservation. Unfortunately you wait for the waiter and not for the table, which was free. When you get to the table you order If you open a large bowl of water carefully, half of the contents will be lost - the waitress doesn't care about the bean. Half of the buffet is empty and stays that way for the next half hour, despite a note to the staff. The dessert department remains absolutely empty for a whole 40 minutes, the staff does their best to keep it that way by ignoring the notice. The salmon on the sushi 🍣 is also ignored, brown and dull, even though it had just been refilled (it had been empty for 35 minutes). Despite a note to the boss, it continues to be served to the guests (see pictures). Anyone who has ended their life and is looking for active euthanasia has come to the right place.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this Asian to anyone. Unfortunately the food didn't taste good at all, I had the feeling that I was only eating greasy, oily breading. The whole restaurant is old and oily/greasy, so I lost my appetite as soon as I arrived. The apparently friendly employee who took the drink order at the seat told me that my daughter could eat for free because she is still 4 years old. We got food and started eating. So that my daughter didn't have to eat alone, I forced myself two forks of the oily/fatty noodles 👎 out of sympathy... that was all I could do. When we wanted to pay, they suddenly said I have to pay for you and me... €23 for me and €15 for the small one, but + drinks ☝️. I asked what that was about and initially refused to pay €23 for 2 forks of bad pasta... 5 employees then stood in front of me and were discussing... to please my nerves and especially my daughter and her To protect it, I ended up paying €46.50. My conclusion: One of the worst restaurants I have seen in 36 years... I would never set foot in the store again. It's a shame actually.

My favorite restaurant in years in every way.

Went to the restaurant for dinner yesterday, July 15, 2024 around 6:30 p.m. The place wasn't full. The waiter was VERY RUDE (grumpy). The food was lukewarm and there was little. (Leftovers from lunch?) Even the freshly prepared food from the grill was lukewarm. Plates were only cleared after the third course. Only when paying was quick. The place has seriously declined. It used to be better.

Unfortunately, they are declining significantly. Food is not kept warm well and is often cold. A friendly face from the wait staff would also be nice. Maybe that will change again...

We went there for dinner with the family. A rich buffet is offered, where there is a great meal for every person from starter, main course and dessert. Everyone was thrilled with the great selection of the buffet and everyone enjoyed it very well and deliciously. Again and again.

We, work colleagues from the retirement home and even with residents, have eaten there several times. The reservations went well. We were usually there at lunchtime and chose the buffet. The selection is plentiful and it tastes good. Vegetarian is also possible. Admission is also no problem for wheelchair users. The service is friendly and accommodating, even if we are partial. Residents suffering from dementia were eating there. The prices are humane. We would be happy to come back.

Food very salty and over-seasoned. Waitress very unfriendly, we weren't allowed to sit at the window because there were only three of us. But the restaurant was empty. Nobody came within the two hours we were there! Even when choosing drinks, the waitress hardly gave us time to read the menu and stood harassingly at the table. Price was also very excessive. Nicely hidden on the homepage it says that the evening buffet price is valid from 11 a.m. on public holidays! When I go out for lunch, I don't look at the price list for the evening. This is intentionally deceptive. We paid 72.00 euros for two adults and one child, which is excessive for a lunch of such poor quality. The only thing that was good and plentiful was the dessert buffet.

Food was really tasty. Very large restaurant. Unfortunately the toilets weren't that well maintained. But I always enjoy going out to eat.

I had dinner there with my boys! The food tasted very good and the selection was huge! Unfortunately the robot didn't come to us.

We were here on Sunday afternoon. The nice gentleman who did the service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was good too. Unfortunately the food was very salty. I eat salty food really well and I like it, but that wasn't normal anymore. It wasn't just in one of the dishes but in almost all of them. So very few things weren't too salty. That's why I unfortunately have to give a relatively negative rating for the food. We paid a total of 50 euros for the meal alone (10 euros for drinks which is okay) but that was a really big disappointment. The dishes were very varied and fresh but unfortunately not really edible because they were simply too salty.

Good quality buffet even if starters and dessert are not very diversified. The cooking service take far to long to serve. And overall, the restaurant is far more expensive than other Chinese buffets. 2 adults + 2 children will cost you 90€. This is 50% more expensive than similar restaurants in the same area.

Top service, the food is also very good, you won't just go there once.

Update February 14, 2024 When it comes to prices...the food has gone way down. The spaghetti with egg tasted rotten, the shrimp with garlic was very salty, the duck wasn't good either and many of the dishes were empty because it was very crowded today. We'll take a break and hope things get better again. Update 01.2022 Phew, the prices went up quite a bit. For 3 adults and a child, a buffet meal and a drink each cost over €80. 2020 We really enjoy eating here. The staff is very friendly and the food is also very tasty. Very varied food

A very nice restaurant with Chinese buffet. Felt good on Saturday and there were small queues at the buffet but it was replenished very often. Unfortunately we had to wait a relatively long time for our drinks. The prices are relatively steep, but they are everywhere these days 😂

Die Böden von den Toiletten sind extrem behaart, außerdem schmeckt das Toilettenwasser erstaunlich gut, deswegen zwei Sterne.

Wir waren dort schon öfters essen. Sind bisher immer gut gesättigt nach Hause gegangen. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider sind die Tische mir persönlich zu nah beieinander und wenn es sehr voll dort ist ist es sehr laut.

Ich war schon mehrfach dort. Das Buffet war immer sehr reichhaltig und auch schön heiß 🔥 Für jeden Geschmack etwas. Immer wieder gerne.

Das China-Restaurant enttäuschte auf ganzer Linie am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag. Das Essen schmeckte fade und war kalt. Auswahl war üppig, keine Frage. Wenn ich aber vom Buffet bis zum Tisch 30 min benötige, ist das Essen kalt. Der Service war leider unaufmerksam. Absolut unorganisiert. Auf meine Beschwerde sagte man mir völlig demotiviert, man würde es weitergeben. Absolut keine Empfehlung!

Vielfältige Auswahl, guter Geschmack, der Service ist gut und schnell, die Räumlichkeit erinnert eher an einen Imbiss aber o.k.
