I've been a regular since it opened about 35 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the change of ownership. The owners are trying to live up to the old standards. Unfortunately, they can't. I always order three of the same pizzas. My beloved solo Mio today, however, was a Spinacci. There was aluminum foil clinging to one part of the pizza roll. We noticed it before our daughter ate it. For us, the Riva issue is over with a heavy heart. Good luck to the new team.

I was very impressed. The new owner, as well as the friendly young waitress, are super friendly and accommodating. Finally, pizza without the metal trays the previous owners used. This is what pizza should taste like: a delicious base, and one of the few pizzerias that still serves its guests pizza rolls and herb butter. I'd love to come back...

The food is incredibly delicious. I could eat there every night. The atmosphere in the place is also fantastic. The waitress is incredibly nice. The whole place is fantastic! There's nothing to complain about. Great, great, great place.

Since the change of ownership, the quality has unfortunately deteriorated – both in terms of taste and organization. Today I even received something different than what I ordered, but was still billed for what I originally ordered. It's a shame – it used to be our favorite pizzeria, but unfortunately, it's lost that status for us. P.S. Check your order when you pick it up 😅

We visited the pizzeria with two children in the early evening. Upon arrival, we had to find a table ourselves, as none had been assigned to us. The service took a long time to arrive – even though only three or four tables were occupied at the time – and seemed unfriendly, overwhelmed, and unattentive. Drinks were brought to our table without being poured. We ordered two "small" pizzas, which the server noted. However, only when the pizzas were brought to our table and after asking, were we informed that they didn't even have small pizzas. We then had to pay the full price for large pizzas (they weren't sliced as ordered either – and, annoyed, they then brought them back to the kitchen). Empty pizza boxes were simply placed in front of us to pack up the leftovers without a word, and without any help. Overall, I found the atmosphere unfriendly for families and children, with the servers giving us annoyed looks whenever the children were louder. Positive: The pizzas tasted good, the pizza rolls were okay, but the salad was unfortunately a bit bland. However, the service and friendliness were disappointing.

The young server was extremely unfriendly, both on the phone and in person. There was no greeting at all. The pizzas were also not very tasty. One thing is for sure: We won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, with the change of ownership, a lot of things fell by the wayside. The young lady serving seemed very overwhelmed and stressed. We noticed this stress in the kitchen as well. We didn't really feel comfortable or welcomed. We had to wait a long time for service and food, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. Unfortunately, the quality isn't what it used to be. What a shame. So, we'll just try to eat there again under new management.

Apparently, the owner has changed, which is immediately noticeable; everything still seems a bit chaotic. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty, and that's what matters in the end. The pizza was generously topped; normally, when you order a seafood pizza, it's lightly topped, but not here, and the price is absolutely right. The base is perfect, not too thin, not too thick, and crispy, with a light and airy crust.

I ordered and picked up a pasta dish yesterday… but it wasn't particularly tasty, and the price was absolutely overpriced. Very poor value for money. Not recommended.

The pizza wasn't good, but it was okay. The problem was the beer. My second beer was within its expiration date, but it smelled bad, tasted bad, and had residue inside. I politely called the waitress over and told her the beer wasn't good. She exchanged it, but added it back to the bill. I argued, but to no avail. What's worse, she said she could only accept cash, but I had to correct the change three times. I thought it was completely absurd. This shouldn't happen.

An absolute insider tip in Erkelenz! RIVA impresses with a fantastic selection of authentic Italian dishes, where you can immediately taste the attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients. The pizza was crispy, freshly topped, and simply heavenly – exactly what you'd expect from Italy! The ambiance in the restaurant is also very cozy and stylish, perfect for a relaxing evening for two or with friends. The food was disgusting!!! Unfortunately, the server couldn't tell me what sauce was used for the gratin or the tagliatelle. It was new. So far, all good. But since she just speculated instead of asking, I got a calzone. It was barely warm on the inside, and the onions and mushrooms were still raw. Okay. The manager apologized and made a new one. But this one was just as raw on the inside. He tried to tell me that was normal. Hmm. I've had different ones at the Stadthalle before. I've also had calzones hot and with cooked ingredients. I didn't eat the second one either, but had to pay in full, explaining that they had a new one and it was normal for the ingredients to be raw, since they weren't fried. Next time, I'd go back to the Italian restaurant at the Stadthalle!!!

I had lasagna. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any meat. It was just lasagna noodles, mountains of cheese, and béchamel sauce, all mashed together into a mess! I only tried this dish. I couldn't eat it. Therefore, I don't recommend it... A little more effort in what makes lasagna would be advisable.

The food is outstanding! With the Spaghetti Calabrese you could taste the broccoli and mushrooms individually. The pizza dough is aromatic and light. The topping is fresh and full-bodied. The service was very friendly. The restaurant is modern, cozy and extremely clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

After we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food, even though we were told it would take 45 minutes, two out of four meals were wrong. Also, one pizza was really soaking wet. There were no pizza rolls with the salad and/or pasta. And then charging these prices is a disgrace. Of course we tried to contact us by phone, but no one could be reached. Absolutely not recommended!

When I'm in Erkelenz I like to go to Riva. I really like the chicken salad. Addendum: A meeting with work colleagues on my recommendation was a disaster. The waiter was unfriendly and slow. We had to make ourselves heard loudly when we requested drinks. The service was really subpar. The food was excellent as always, so I'm not deducting a star and will see what it's like on my next visit.

Good pizza, good dough in general with a very good oven - makes for delicious food and the service was very good. Everything was very clean, prices were ok too. That's how it should be! If you are in Erkelenz, I definitely recommend coming here!

Have ordered food. Total €30, three salads. We had to pay 36€, on the flyer it said: "free delivery from 20€ + free drink (soft drink 1L). We were delivered the wrong food and it upset all of our stomachs. I can only advise against eating or ordering here.

We ordered via the well-known platform. The two pizzas arrived well ahead of time and the driver was very friendly. There are 4 stars for that. Unfortunately my pizza was so overloaded that the dough wasn't cooked through. I would have had it returned to the restaurant, but unfortunately it can't be delivered. It is also significantly too expensive for that. My friend's was done, but quite fatty and very spicy. No problem for him, but I couldn't have eaten them like that either. It's a shame, I used to think Riva was good. Today could not be convinced!

Had dinner there for the first time today. Service very friendly and quick. The food was very tasty. If we are in the area again we will definitely make a detour there.

We have now eaten the fillet steak at Riva twice. It's just fantastic. 🤩 The price-performance ratio is also great. The small restaurant is cozy. We will definitely come regularly from now on. Big compliment to the kitchen!

Ordered food via the well-known platform for 5:45 p.m. and it was 5:55 p.m., so far so good. No food until 6:30 p.m. no information. Apparently the driver broke down in the car during delivery. Pizza cold, dough of course like rubber. What's most annoying, however, is that the owner wasn't willing to make any concessions... So it was the first and last time… Even if the pizzas were hot or even hot they would have tasted good.

Mega delicious, great pizza, the dough is awesome. Penne with Angus beef was also great, a great taste experience.

Generally delicious food. However, what was on the plate was not what was on the menu. Beef fillet tips were described, relatively large pieces of meat arrived at the table, which were too much for my taste. There were also onions on the plate that were not on the menu. I liked it, my wife didn't like the onions. All in all, still a good meal.

Essen ist ganz ok, leider gibt es nur Flaschenbier.

Hier sollte erstmal gelernt werden das Gäste die zusammen an einem Tisch sitzen, auch ZUSAMMEN ESSEN möchten! Vorspeisen kamen mit 15 min Zeitversetzung. Hauptspeise kamen 3 Pizzas zusammen, die bestellte Pasta und Salat jedoch nicht. Nach 3facher Nachfrage kam immer wieder nur die selbe Antwort: kommt jetzt sofort - kam es jedoch nicht. Wann ist hier sofort? 20 min nach der Pizza? Haben die Pasta und den Salat dann abbestellt, da die restlichen 3 Personen in der Zwischenzeit ihre Pizza beteits gegessen hatten. Man sagte uns dann ganz empört, das man sowas noch nie erlebt hätte, wir sollen bitte nicht mehr wieder kommen und uns ein anderes Restaurant suchen!!!! Hahaha ich weiß nicht ob ich lachen oder schreien soll! Ganz bestimmt kommen wir NICHT mehr wieder!!!! WIR haben sowas noch NIE erlebt das man NICHT zusammen isst, sondern so wie bei Ihnen 15-20 Min zeitversetzt! Auf nimmer Wiedersehen!

Frechheit nie wieder ! Wir waren eben mit 5 Personen dort. Haben 3 Vorspeisen bestellt wobei eine (Carpaccio) 15min später kam was wohl vergessen wurde. Die Krönung kam aber erst noch. Wir hatten 3 Pizzen , ein Salat mit Hähnchen Filet und Nudeln bestellt. Die 3 Pizzen welche Wartezeit auch schon verlängert war hatten wir schon in Ruhe aufgegessen und die Nudeln und der Salat waren immernoch nicht da. Es wurde vorab 2 mal nachgefragt wo die weiteren Hauptspeisen bleiben denn wir würden gerne zusammen essen aber es kam einfach nichts. Nachdem weitere 15min ins Land gestrichen sind haben wir die fehlenden Hauptspeisen abbestellt, da der Appetit vergangen ist. Der ältere grauhaarige Pizzabäcker antwortete nur frech, dass Hühnchenfilet eben länger braten muss ??? Filet 45 min zum Braten ? Und O-Ton wir sollen uns in Zukunft ein anderes Lokal aussuchen und nicht mehr wieder kommen !!! Wir haben mehrfach beschrieben wo das Problem liegt nämlich dass wir zusammen essen möchten / wollten. Aber hier fehlt es an Einsicht und Service. Wenn Speisen vergessen werden und das kann passieren ist es nicht schlimm aber uns so zu belügen und pampig zu werden und versuchen das unter den Teppich zu kehren geht garnicht.

Mit fünf Personen heute vor Ort gewesen . Getränke und Vorspeisen wurden flott aufgenommen. Getränke kamen zeitig. Zwei von drei Vorspeisen (2 x Bruscetta) kamen ebenfalls zeitnah. Das bestellte Carpaccio kam 30 Minuten später . Ein erstes NO-GO. Drei bestellte Pizzen Kamen nach ca . 45 Minuten. Bei mir persönlich bereits über der Schmerzgrenze. Wir waren dann mit den Pizzen bereits zu 80 Prozent fertig und die anderen beide Gerichte (Salat und Nudeln) waren trotz mehrfacher Ansage „ist gleich fertig“ und Ausrede „hänchenfilet dauert immer länger als alles andere“ immer noch nicht da. Andere Tische - welche später ins Lokal waren , hatten bereits essen und zwar mit Nudeln und Salat. Wir haben die zwei Gerichte dann abbestellt und wollten zahlen. Der nette Gruß vom Chef ? „beim nächsten mal bitte ein anderes Lokal aussuchen und nicht mehr wiederkommen“ rundet den Abend ab. Fazit: essen lecker - Organisation Katastrophe. Wir werden der Empfehlung vom Chef nachkommen und beim nächsten mal ein anderes Lokal aufsuchen 🙂

Výborná pizza. Sice to bylo o něco dražší, ale byla opravdu moc dobrá. Bohužel placený pouze cash. Jediné co kazilo dojem, byla spousta otravných much, které žijí v keřích kolem předzahrádky.

Gute Pizerria! Die Pizza Santa Cruz mit Thunfisch, Krabben und Knoblauch war sehr lecker. Wenn man etwas beanstanden kann, dann das häufiger nachgefragt werden könnte, ob noch ein Getränk gewünscht wird.

Platz bekommen, Karte erhalten und Bestellung aufgeben ging alles fix. Essen als solches war ok aber nicht herausragend. Als es dann ans zahlen ging haben wir nach 30 Minuten warten und vier mal auffordern, dass wir zahlen wollten, dann den Schritt zur Theke gemacht. Es war nicht super stressig dort, die Dame die bedient hat, hätte den Hinweis geben können, dass man zur Theke gehen soll. Ich werde wohl nicht ganz so dghndll wieder hin.

Essen war sehr gut. Service war etwas lasch und der Koch rief, als ich Lasagne bestellen wollte, gibt es nicht mehr wg Weihnachten. Ambiente war eher etwas unterkühlt Bus Richtung nicht besonders einladend

Diese Pizzeria will sich schick präsentieren. Aber leider wird auf spezielle Kundenwünsche nicht eingegangen. Die männliche Bedienung ist mehr als unfreundlich und kommt sehr arrogant rüber. Die weibliche , Na ja.... Der Belag auf der Pizza Mista ist schon sehr übersichtlich und die frutti di mare ist vom Geschmack auch kein Highlight. Da fehlen definitiv Gewürze. Bei den Preisen gibt es im Umkreis wesentlich bessere Pizzerien. Nachtrag vom 13. September 2022 Natürlich besuche ich weiterhin die besseren Pizzerien im Umkreis. Aber danke für den Tipp!

Wir waren früher oft dort und haben uns leider eine andere Pizzaria suchen müssen, da die Preise sehr hoch angestiegen sind und die Gerichte um einiges schlechter geworden sind. Zuletzt waren wir dann doch nochmal dort. Alles leider wie zuletzt vorgefunden, nur sind die Bedienungen leider noch unfreundlich geworden. Preis-Leistung stimmt einfach nicht. Wenn wir es uns "gönnen" essen zu gehen, möchte ich etwas besonderes haben und gut bedient werden. Dann gene ich auch gerne etwas mehr aus und gebe auch gerne Trinkgeld. Hier ist dies aber nicht mehr der Fall! Sehr schade, wir waren Stammkunden und immer gerne dort. Zudem sollte sich jeder mal die wirklich frechen und patzigen Kommentare zu schlechteren Bewertungen hier in Google anschauen. So kann man nicht mit seinem Restaurant in der Öffentlichkeit strahlen.

Ein heftig gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zu zwei Pizzen gibt es auch schon Pizzabrötchen mit leckerer Kräuterbutter. Bestellungen werden super schnell bearbeitet und geschmacklich top!

Gamberetti war wirklich nicht sehr genießbar, Gambas wurden mit der Schale serviert. Es wurde gesagt das wird normal so serviert, aber es wurde keine Schale mit gestellt zum schälen. Dazu war vom Gewürz an den geschälten Gambas natürlich nichts mehr zu schmecken. Ich finde es auch ein Unding das man in seiner Pasta nach dem Servieren noch wühlen und schälen muss, von anderen Restaurants kennt man es ja auch nicht.

Kann man gut essen. Freundliche Bedienung und lecker.
