We were in Chemnitz for an event and had previously eaten here at the Braumeister. Unfortunately, it's an outdated restaurant, which isn't a bad thing in itself, but now comes the BUT. It was extremely cold, we were the only guests along with two other people. I can understand that the costs are very high - for not even a handful of guests - to heat, but it's no fun to sit and eat in the cold. The restaurant is very rustic and has stood in its time, unfortunately also in its cleanliness. In the dining room it smelled musty and somehow like "old people". The toilet and the toilet area have not been cleaned for a long time.
The food was very good, there were homemade schnitzels and vegetables and more than filling for the price. It's just a shame that the restaurant is struggling so much due to a lack of staff that things are looking rather bad for it to continue. The owner/waiter was very nice. We wish her and the restaurant all the best.
The atmosphere is very nice, the young men are polite/friendly. We spent the Christmas party there as a group of 7 people. We were the only guests, the menu was inadequate, the prices were disproportionate, and there was no cheese plate that was offered with the wine. We waited an hour for the food, the wraps were too black, the potato soup couldn't be clearly defined (perhaps pea soup?), the goose leg for 25.00 euros couldn't be removed from the bone, the food was lukewarm...! All in all a disappointment! It's a shame about all the money, the really nice ambience is no use!
Unfortunately not recommended at all!!
The least it would have been was a gesture of goodwill to our criticism!
We had reserved for 4 people.
The ambience is very neat, discreet and lovingly furnished for a garden home. The selection of food is also large for a garden home and very appealing. The dishes served after a short wait were plentiful and very tasty.
The service is friendly, quick and even takes the time to talk to the guest.
The price-performance ratio is great.
We'll definitely be back.
I probably won't go again. We were there with a large group and sometimes waited up to an hour for food. My pizza wasn't great either. The others, however, were enthusiastic about the food. Maybe I just ordered something wrong. 😅
Incorrect prices on the website, more was charged for delivery. When asked why, they said they didn't have access to the Google account. What does that matter to me as a consumer? This is cheating and the pizza was just fart dry. Thanks but never again.
Unfortunately experienced a total failure today. The food itself is tasty and the employees are friendly too.
BUT: We ordered a kebab plate with fries - every other restaurant in the area serves meat. Fries and salad. Unfortunately there is no salad here.
Called. Complained. Unfortunately, 0 insight. First we should have taken a large plate of kebab, there would be a salad (it's not on the menu), then a plate of kebab with fries would only be meat and fries for him - so I asked what the difference was compared to a kebab box, unfortunately that's what I said didn't get an answer.
Although you can choose between a small or large kebab plate with fries on the menu, you have to know that only the large salad is included. Sorry, that's bullshit. I have no idea why it works like that here, but they should actually know what a kebab plate means to everyone else in the city and that their customers also have a certain idea.
In any case, we only had greasy fries with meat and sauce without a bit of fresh salad. Very annoying!! >:-(
