Unfortunately a big disappointment for us:
The service is professional, but that's about it. Unfortunately, warmth, as we know it from other Asian restaurants, is non-existent.
The ambience is getting old and a bit tired, but clean and with lots of details.
Unfortunately, in our opinion, the food is neither remotely authentic nor good:
The fried foods were too dark and tasted significantly like fat and the beef was stringy. The duck also seemed simply cooked in the deep fryer, the chicken was fine.
The sauces, on the other hand, were not what we expected across the board: despite the announcement on the menu, the spiciness was not or only barely noticeable and all three sauces tasted as if brown gravy had been added and starch had been used and therefore tasted strongly "Germanized". Asian vegetables were missing except for canned bamboo and Thai basil.
Unfortunately, it's a restaurant that we can't recommend, but that's a matter of taste!
Great pub atmosphere based on the old model. Regular guests around the counter, regular table conversations and a good selection of food. Definitely worth a visit if you like the classic. Gladly again, also because the landlord and the service staff were always attentive and nice.
I have been a regular customer at this place for ages. When I entered the shop today, I was not greeted as I should have been, but was dismissed with the words: You have to wait an hour...! Nothing else.
If your culture does not value regular customers. There are many others...
We came upon the recommendation of our friend (Mr. Oğuz) during our 1-week trip abroad. It's a top notch place. The taste is superb.. I definitely recommend the lahmacun wrap..
Very cozy little restaurant, really nicely done, the service was very friendly, the food was great! Really very tasty and highly recommended! However, only cash payment!
