Restaurant "Der Koch" in Bad Oeynhausen

I'm currently in rehab in Bad Oeynhausen. This restaurant was recommended to me, and I highly recommend it. German cuisine, everything is freshly prepared. Super delicious. The chef even cooks there himself. I expected a much smaller portion for the price. You really get value for money here. It's been a long time since I left a restaurant feeling so full. High praise. I'd be happy to come back.

We were there for the first time today. First of all, I have to say that this restaurant is entirely owner-managed. You have my utmost respect for your dedication and passion; you can see and taste it. The food was good and the portions were very large, so it's good value for money. I definitely have to highlight the service, though. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Even when it got a bit busy, he remained relaxed, patient, and always attentive. Great, thank you for the lovely evening, the excellent service, and the delicious food.

We always LOVE coming here, especially during kale season. But the asparagus and chanterelle seasons are also delicious. When we're there out of season, there's often a freshly made schnitzel with fried potatoes (that are NOT swimming in fat)! Always a cheerful host 👍

If you are very hungry, you should order a normal portion. There are then two large schnitzels on the plates. However, there seems to be no difference between large and normal. A small portion would definitely have been enough for two of us girls. That's why we got full. Highly recommended

At lunchtime it was one of the few restaurants open so we decided on the "chef" and were initially a bit surprised at the prices. But I have to say...the visit was worth the money. Schnitzel made with love and a nice salad first. The food was very tasty. Thank you. We would love to come back. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously stopped by here on Saturday evening and got a nice spot on the terrace. The boss greeted us in a very friendly manner and served us. The homemade meatballs were great, nice on the outside and super fluffy on the inside - great! The mushroom omelette was also excellent. The price was absolutely right for the large portions and not expensive at all! Absolute recommendation. Many greetings from Leipzig.

We ate rolls there and made sauce and red cabbage ourselves, which is no longer common practice today. Service attentive and helpful. Price performance is good, if you want cheap food you should go to the chip shop.

Very lovingly run business with unique food that is prepared with a lot of love. The interaction with the guests is very warm and courteous. The food impresses with its classic style with modern accents. The side salad, for example, was made with fruit and a homemade dressing sauce that tasted great. We were expecting German home cooking and we were thrilled. Finally an “honest” restaurant. The menu makes the hungry guest happy. And what comes next is just really delicious. The innkeeper and his wife run the place as a couple and don't pull any punches. Simple, honest and direct (if you read the negative reviews here, it's clear between the lines that these people can't handle it) We're looking forward to next time.

So I had the roulade with red cabbage, a dream!! The red cabbage is nice and soft and with lots of apple! And, as I could see at the table next door, the sauce is served extra with the schnitzels, which also looked excellent, which I think is great! The service consisted of the host who also worked the counter, super friendly!!! All in all, I had a really nice evening!!!!

Here, hospitality is still lived with heart and passion. Everything is full to the last seat and the boss is alone in the restaurant and has everything under control. I ordered a spinach schnitzel with hollandaise sauce and gratinated with cheese. There were also croquettes. A small portion would have been enough for me. The “normal” portion was just too big. But: very tasty!!! Very friendly service, normal waiting time.

Super Restaurant mit toller Hausmannskost, wir wurden freundlich gegrüßt und haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber dafür war das Essen umso besser.

Das Restaurant ist in die Jahre gekommen - aber sauber und ordentlich. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen war eine Wucht! Beginnend mit Salat und einem Mega leckeren Dressing, bis zu den Hauptgerichte. Da ist ordentlich was auf dem Teller! Preis/Leistung passt absolut!

Ein sehr gutes Speiselokal mit gutbürgerliche deutscher Küche.Die Speisen werden alle frisch zubereitet, was auch etwas Zeit in Anspruch nimmt entsprechend ist und war das Essen vorzüglich sehr lecker,und das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt zu 100 %. Wir werden dort auf jeden Fall wieder einkehren.Vielen Dank an das Team.

Sehr leckere Schnittgerichten zu wirklich günstigen Preisen. Einmal habe ich dort auch Rindersteak gegessen, das ebenfalls sehr gut war und das zum fairen Preis.

Die Schnitzel sind 1A. Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung. Auch die anderen Speisen waren sehr gut. Ich war 3x dort und immer zufrieden. Der Wirt ist freundlich, könnte etwas schneller bedienen. Zur Druckbetankung muss man wo anders hin .

Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war super lecker . Gerne wieder. Empfehlenswert.

Das Lokal war gut besucht und der Chef war alleine. Er machte uns darauf aufmerksam, das es dadurch etwas dauert, wir warten gerne. Es hat sich gelohnt, es war sehr lecker 😋. Trotz dem Stress, wurden wir nett bedient. Wir können das Lokal empfehlen und kommen auch gerne wieder, solange ich noch in Bad Oeyenhausen bin.

Sind ganz spontan hier eingekehrt und haben, obwohl es schon später war (20:30/20:45 Uhr) noch sehr lecker gegessen 👍. Das Ambiente kann ich nicht so recht beurteilen, da wir draußen gesessen haben. Woooow! Wir wollten gerne mal wieder Deutsche Küche. Der Inhaber ist ein sehr netter Mann und das Essen war super! Das Essen ist super lecker und auch noch sehr günstig. Rumpsteak für 23,00€ ist ein super fairer Preis. Die Toiletten waren sauber und das Ambiente ist total angenehm und alles sehr sauber. Wir kommen wieder und danken für das tolle Essen.

One man Schow . Der Wirt nimmt Bestellung auf bringt Essen und Getränke....macht alles selbst. Hut ab. Kein Problem wenn was extra oder geändert bestellt wird. Ein einfaches "machen wir" und fertig. Das Inventar ist schon ein bisschen älter. Aber ich bin ja zum essen da und das war lecker.

Wir warten letzten Samstag dort essen und es war richtig lecker. Der Kellner/ Chef(?) war alleine im Service. Es hat alles einen Augenblick gedauert, aber er hat den Abend hervorragend gemeistert. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall mal wieder.

Ich habe ein Steak gegessen und es war hervorragend.Der Inhaber arbeitet alleine und war ziemlich im Stress, trotzdem hat der Service hervorragend geklappt, alles zügig serviert. Sehr freundlich und fragte immer nach ob alles in Ordnung sei.

Das Essen ist spitze, fairer Preis gute Portionen. Wir haben Ochsensteak gegessen ( nur zu empfehlen ) und "normale" Portion Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Ochsensteak sowas von zart und saftig, die Schnitzel ( 2Stück ) knusprig, saftig, zart. Mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen. Der Wirt nett und freundlich . Essen wird frisch zubereitet und kommt schnell. Von uns volle Punktzahl!

Wir waren zu fünft als Familie dort, das Ambiente eher schlicht,das Essen aber super lecker, Schnitzel perfekt gebraten, Spargel auf den Punkt . Portionsgröße ist auf der Karte bereits wählbar.Gerne wieder.

Ich kann den Koch leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 5 Personen dort. Die Frage von einer Person, die mit weniger Hunger ankam, nach einem Kindermenü wurde vom Koch schon echt ruppig abgetan. Als dann von uns der Vorschlag kam, ob man ein Omlett mit 2 Personen teilen könnte, wurde er regelrecht ausfallend und gegenüber. Da wir uns hier echt nicht wie Gäste behandelt fühlen, verließen wir daraufhin das Restaurant. wir waren uns alle einig, das wir so einen kunden-unfreundlichen Service noch nicht erlebt haben! Uns ging es weniger darum, das unsere Menüwünsche nicht möglich wären, als eher um die unfreundliche Art von Koch, dies und zu vermitteln.
