Very tasty food 😋 and super friendly service

Yesterday, four of us went to Elliniko for dinner again, after our first visit in 2016. Wow, a newly designed dining room that exudes a modern and cozy atmosphere. The food was of the highest quality, there's no other way to describe it. However, the portions are a bit too large in my opinion. Perhaps they should consider offering senior citizen portions here before throwing away valuable and delicious food. All in all, very good.

Elliniko Bad Oeynhausen – we need to talk. Elliniko isn't a classic Greek restaurant with thick plates and loud music. It's a reinterpreted version of Greek cuisine – or, as they say: Greek Cuisine. And that pretty much sums it up. Here, you don't just get souvlaki and gyros, but a piece of culinary attitude. Elliniko is my Greek restaurant of choice. It combines the best of both worlds: traditional dishes with a modern twist. Classics like gyros, bifteki, or lamb fillet, but at a level rarely found elsewhere. The meat isn't overcooked here, but cooked to perfection – well-done, yet juicy. This is craftsmanship, not accidental. The plates aren't decorative battlefields, but small works of art: colorful, aesthetic, modernly presented, without any frills. The kitchen works seasonally, with its own ideas, and a clear commitment to quality. There are steaks that are hung in-house, fresh herbs, excellent olive oil straight from Greece, and a small but fine salad bar that truly exudes charm. The service is excellent. Fast, friendly, and welcoming – here you're a guest, not a customer. The chef and his wife are a strong duo: he in the kitchen, she in the service – both passionate, both authentic. This partnership is evident in every detail. The gyro? Just the way it should be: crispy, spicy, from the spit. No frozen goods, no compromises. And the best part: Not only meat lovers get their money's worth here, but also vegetarians, vegans, and pescetarians – everyone will find something tasty and satisfying. The ambiance is a matter of taste. To me, it feels cozy, almost like a living room with a Mediterranean touch. Some might find it old-fashioned, but I find it warm, authentic, and unpretentious. All in all, Elliniko is my regular Greek restaurant, my place for good food, genuine hospitality, and fair prices. No frills, no "we want to appear modern," but lived quality with heart and soul. Super delicious food 😋 and top service !!! A clear recommendation for us

5 (five) stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 are not enough!!! It was the first time we ever went there as a couple. We were truly thrilled! The table was ready as requested! A very friendly welcome... and then it all came out amazing: Bread beforehand = delicious Appetizers = yum... so delicious 😋 Main course = wow... how good are they at that?! Rice = delicious... Fries = rarely served so perfectly... all the meat dishes from the grill plate = perfectly grilled (tender inside, very good grilled flavor on the outside) Dessert = we couldn't manage any more (we'll eat the leftovers tomorrow 😇)

We were there for the first time and were thrilled. It was delicious, and despite being crowded, the service was excellent. We haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time.

Very, very good Greek cuisine! I know a few Greek restaurants, but the food here is truly outstanding. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the kitchen serves quickly. All in all, a definite recommendation!

The food was terrible; the gyro was very salty, and the burger was completely tasteless. I can't recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately, the Cretan potatoes arrived much too late compared to the gyro. So, of course, it was almost as warm as the famous ice cream. As a thank you for our criticism, they forgot about us when distributing the obligatory ouzo. Overall, the food and service that evening lacked depth and substance.

We were there yesterday. The arrival was the worst: construction traffic lights... Parking was usable. Very friendly, quick greeting and food delivery. The salad was delicious... and the main course was a good portion and very, very tasty. Thanks again to the chef and service, and as already mentioned, WE'LL BE AGAIN

Very good Greek restaurant. Six of us enjoyed five different dishes on a Sunday. The welcome was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is cozy yet modern. The covered and sheltered outdoor terrace is ideal for warm days. We started with fresh bread and aioli, and for those who wanted a free ouzo, it was delicious. The ordered dishes arrived at the table at the same time, beautifully presented, and piping hot. Everything was exceptionally good in terms of taste and quality! Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back and would happily recommend this restaurant.

Four of us went there for dinner. We received a warm welcome and were able to choose a free table inside or outside. Drinks were ordered very quickly and delivered promptly. The food also arrived quickly, and was hot.

The outdoor area is beautifully designed, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. Several of us were there. We had gyros, of course, but also lamb and fish, and everything was really good, and the ouzo even more so.

We had booked in for dinner at 6:00 PM on a Sunday evening. It was incredibly crowded, and parking was almost impossible. My first reaction was, we'll leave. After all, there were three of us and three relatively large dogs. It's a good thing we didn't leave! We received wonderful service, a friendly welcome, and were well looked after. The food was outstanding! Very, very tasty, with generous portions and beautifully presented. Many thanks to the owner and his excellent staff; we had a wonderful evening.

A long-established restaurant at the foot of the Wiehen Hills. Delicious food, attentive, friendly service. Despite the large number of guests, everything went smoothly.

Hello, two of us went out to eat on a Thursday evening. It was very busy. Nevertheless, we were served very quickly and shown to a table. I had a reservation. There is a small self-service salad buffet. We started with a fresh baguette with ajoli. The main course also arrived very quickly. Which was also very good.

The food here is very sophisticated. On my last visit, I opted for the grilled king prawns with Mediterranean vegetables and garlic bread... I was not disappointed; 5 stars for that alone. The staff is prompt and friendly. Just as you'd hope; you simply feel WELCOME. I had to deduct one star for the ambiance, the decorations pushed behind the curtains, no longer needed and somewhat dusty. Surely there's a place for that in a storage room until it's reused.

The food was really good. The ambiance could have been better; the view outside the window was of dried-up flowers. Unfortunately, the music in the restaurant was unbearable for us, making a longer stay impossible.

Das Essen war soweit okay, nur im Restaurant war es dermaßen laut, dass man am Tisch sein eigenes Wort kaum verstand. Da gäbe es einiges zu verbessern, um den Schall und die Stimmen der anderen Tische zu dämmen. Schade, früher war es gemütlicher...

Ordered a table for 4 people. There were numerous guests there on a Friday, which indicated the good quality. Well designed card! Something for everyone. We found the meal with the starter very tasty and the portion sizes great. ELDERLY people can take their food with them. Polite and attentive service. Due to the numerous guests (you wish this in every restaurant) it just gets a little noisy. Otherwise everything is great and we say thank you and will come back!

People are great, food is great and now it comes - there is even a myth!!!! For me/us the best Greek in the area (Minden-Lübbecke district)! Thank you, keep it up - we'll be back!!!

Our Greek evening at Elliniko was a complete success! The ambience is simply perfect. The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic taste that really impressed us. The service was friendly, courteous and very attentive - the staff made our visit an unforgettable experience. As far as price-performance is concerned, we can only report positive things - the Elliniko offers a really fair and reasonable price-performance ratio, which made us very satisfied. Overall, our visit to Elliniko was a successful experience that we would like to repeat! We can only recommend the restaurant and look forward to coming back soon.

Super nice staff, very anxious to please the visitors, but not intrusive! The food is good and sufficiently sized. Even though the restaurant was almost fully booked, they still managed to find a table for 6 people. You only found out about the place through Google, but it was a great decision to eat here. Gladly again, although that's not necessarily my direction of travel. I ate No. 53 and can highly recommend it. It is also worth mentioning that Saganaki is not a white cheese containing cow's milk.

I can only recommend Elliniko. Very good selection of delicious food, super attentive service and everything at fair prices.

We have been guests of the Elliniko restaurant in Bad Oeynhausen - Dehme for many years and can only report positive things. The cozy atmosphere ensures that you immediately feel at home. The Elliniko is run by a warm family. The dishes are not only fresh and varied, but also prepared with a lot of love. The quality and taste of the dishes are always excellent! We particularly appreciate the constant development of the restaurant. It's nice to see how Elliniko has developed over the years without losing its roots and warm atmosphere. It wasn't our first time here and we were a bit surprised at how things didn't work out. We knew it differently. We were there with 5 people for lunch on Sunday. When I made the reservation I already announced that there would be 2 vegans there. Confirmation came quickly with the information that the kitchen could conjure up vegan dishes. Nobody told us that we could have helped ourselves at the salad bar. But we wouldn't have been able to do that anyway because we couldn't get up to the neighboring table due to the lack of space. And there wouldn't have been any yplstz on the table either. The starter platters then came sprinkled with non-vegan cheese. The boss noticed this and even criticized it, but didn't add anything to it or at least had one plate replaced. The main courses were very different in quality. The vegan risottos were very well received. The gyros were great, but the gratinated gyros had a lot of fatty pieces of meat that were more cooked than grilled. Since I didn't want to be so annoyed on my 60th birthday, I paid and it was fine, but we won't be coming back that quickly. Very unfortunate.

Very nice modern atmosphere. Large selection and also large portions with a very fine taste. All family members chose something different and everyone loved it. Thanks for the friendly service and it's a shame that this restaurant isn't near us. Always my pleasure.

Our absolute favorite restaurant!

Gyros stringy and dry, the pig on the spit was killed again, tomato rice was carried past the spice jar. Fries and zazaiki okay. You can. You have to get your own starter plate, which makes it very cold. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. No questions asked, seems unfriendly and uninterested. Unfortunately not a recommendation!

We always enjoy eating at Elliniko and have been there twice at Christmas and have always been very satisfied. At Christmas everything is well organized and you don't have to wait long.

Very, very tasty food and decent portions that really fill you up. The dishes are freshly prepared and well seasoned, as you would expect from the Greeks. There is a large selection of dishes so that everyone can find what they are looking for. Of course, afterwards there is also delicious ouzo. We were there on Saturday evening with a small group and everyone was thrilled. The only drawback is the few parking spaces available. If possible, there should be signs to the nearest parking facility. Maybe directly on the website?

I'll just say that I know a lot about Greek restaurants because I often go on business trips and like to visit “the Greeks” on site. On the other hand, I stopped here with my wife on a Sunday trip (after prior reservation). And what can I say!? Nothing better could have happened to us. Super nice staff, a cozy atmosphere and very good food. I myself ordered the dry aged rump steak 250g medium from the “we recommend menu” and can say that it was really awesome. Really a top treat. The steak certainly had its price (€36.90). But considering that you usually have to pay extra for the side dishes in a steakhouse, it was really fair here. My wife had the Aki plate and she also really enjoyed it. For both dishes you could put together a side salad at the salad buffet. Conclusion: A very good Greek restaurant. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back.

Went there again today, September 26th, 2020 and it was great. Update February 20, 2022 Renovated & totally chic. And the food was brilliant as always 🤤🤤 Update February 24, 2024. As always 1a. And new dishes on the menu. U.A. Cretan bruschetta, variation with sourdough bread, tomatoes, feta and black olives. 🤤🤤🤤 An absolute must.

We were there for Christmas dinner. Everyone with a craving for Greek cuisine. We were surprised with a Christmas edition of the house. There were 5 different main courses to choose from. There was something for everyone, e.g. B. also a vegetarian one. Photo with map attached. First of all, a delicious soup. A fresh and rich salad. Then the main course and finally a delicious and fluffy dessert. Everything was delicious and definitely worth the price. We'll definitely come back later this year to test the "normal card".....🤣 A little tip to the operator: A reference to the Christmas special menu when making the reservation would have initially counteracted the irritation. However, we were pleasantly surprised and everyone really enjoyed it. Thanks for everything 👍🙋‍♂️

Were there on Christmas Day, had 5 menus to choose from, something for everyone, goose, fish, pork, grilled, vegetarian...very tasty, everyone was very helpful and friendly, it was a very nice evening with delicious food , the dessert was a surprise...very successful

It is a bit noisy due to the large number of people, but this shop has a very nice charm. The food is prepared very lovingly and carefully and the dishes are really well rounded. I really like that it is a Veltins restaurant and that they offer varieties like Grevensteiner. What I find particularly nice is the creative use of very attractive tableware and the use of self-prepared mineral water. Both very clever. The pricing is absolutely normal. The ouzo served is very tasty. It was a wonderful evening. The entire staff was great and attentive.

The typical Greek cosiness that you know from other restaurants is missing. The waitresses dance around the restaurant in a completely hectic manner. Very friendly owners eat and drink great too.

I rarely give 5 out of 5 stars, but this shop deserves it, we had our Christmas party there and the food, service and ambience were just great! There is an extra point just for the children's friendliness! 👍🏻💯

Nice atmosphere, attentive service, fresh and very good salad at the self-service counter. 3 small pieces of meat, filled with large pieces of pepper, served with a huge amount of Metaxa sauce on a very large plate, plus a small amount of potato slices with a large amount of cream sauce in a soup tureen - that's not possible. Too bad.

We are regular customers, come to the restaurant almost every week and love the quality of the food. The specialties on Christmas days are particularly recommended.

Lovingly furnished restaurant, very warm welcome. We were greeted with an ouzo (which I unfortunately couldn't try) and bread with dip was served. The salad bar is clear and stocked with fresh, high-quality ingredients, so you could decide for yourself whether and what the side salad looked like. Even with the starters you can tell the effort and attention to detail. And we were also completely happy with the main course. Fresh ingredients, high-quality meat, absolutely sufficient portions! The service was attentive and courteous at all times. If we ever get lost in Bad Oeynhausen again, we would be very, very happy to come back.

We were there with friends and, as expected, it was very well attended. A reservation (also possible online) is strongly recommended. The team was always attentive and had everything well under control. The food came promptly and was of top quality. In the meantime, we kept asking whether everything was ok and whether we had any further wishes. This is no longer common practice and we really enjoyed it. It was a lovely evening all around. Thank you.

Went there for the first time yesterday. Ordered vegan risotto and had, among other things, non-vegan beetroot cream on the plate. Not only morally questionable but also a real danger for people with allergies. You could open a window every now and then, especially on busy evenings. It was uncomfortably warm. The entire clothing still smells unpleasantly of dead animals the next day.

We had reserved and got a really great table. The food was really very good! The service was very friendly and answered many questions nicely, which is not a given. We'll be back! And kudos to the chef!

In addition to the delicious gyros, try the perfect fries. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I also had the Cretan potatoes, which I haven't eaten yet. We are convinced 5 star food.
