It's a disgrace when they try to sell you meat with cartilage as a fillet... The waiter had no idea about the dishes... The chef wanted to bring me a new steak, even though I had ordered fillet... It was a lesson for me to be there...

You wouldn't believe what happened yesterday. After three weeks, my girlfriend and I wanted to eat here again. I ordered, like three weeks ago, rump steak with vegetables. The rump steak came with a few slices of zucchini, which I really like. Maybe, the waitress thought, you can't tell in the dim, flickering light, but... Unfortunately, the zucchini tasted sour, looked weird, and smelled strange too. My girlfriend, like me, thought it smelled musty. I asked for new zucchini, and the manager brought them to our table. And downplayed my complaint. With the words... You didn't want the zucchini on the grill for so long... and now he brought me raw, but fresh ones that had only been on the grill for 1-2 seconds at most. Not enjoyable either! As a nice gesture, we were given a piece of cake to share, no problem, but that... ✌️had to go too, because fresh is something else. Not with us at the moment, here

Prices have risen, quality has fallen. We were looking forward to some nice bread with tzatziki. Unfortunately, the bread was from the day before. They tried to make it edible again with herb butter, but it failed. We then asked for new bread, but they brought back old bread. Who wants to eat old, dried-out bread with their €26 starter? A no-go for such an expensive place. The potatoes baked with cheese were the highlight; they were delicious. My lamb with eggplant was quite good, but unfortunately, it didn't come with a side dish; it didn't go well at all. I also imagined the baked feta cheese would be different from just carelessly placing a slice in the middle. The prices raise eyebrows; €18 for a gyro plate is quite a statement. The drinks were nice and cold. A group of very loud guests arrived, so we had to cover our ears. We asked to be moved, but of course that wasn't possible, even though there were alternatives available. So they left us sitting where we couldn't hear ourselves. After dinner, we escaped outside... it was lovely. Unfortunately, the evening was already over. We told the manager about the dry bread, and he didn't seem to mind serving bread that we couldn't eat. The cash register seems to be ringing, so there's no point in responding to complaints. Competition is fierce, so we'll take our euros somewhere else next time.

Was there again yesterday, and it was simply perfect. I had the gyro with bifteki, grilled pepperoni, and zucchini chips. It also came with tzatziki. Simply delicious. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect. We'll be back soon, of course.

Today we were at Syrtaki for the first time in a long time. We received a friendly welcome, our order was taken promptly, and the service was also quite quick. The appetizer was tzatziki and grilled pepperoni, and the main course, gyros and bifteki, was plentiful and very tasty. The bifteki were light and well-filled with cheese. We'd be back!

The best Greek restaurant for miles around! The service is incredibly warm and attentive – you feel welcome from the very first moment. The food is fresh, authentic, and simply delicious. A special treat: At the end of the meal, we even got melon on the house – a small gesture that rounded off the evening perfectly. Everything is just right here: a great atmosphere, super-friendly staff, and a piece of Greece in the heart of the city. We'll definitely be back!

I finally went there again today. Unfortunately, my 4-year-old niece wasn't feeling so well, and the staff continued to take great care of her, despite the full house. There were sweets, a small ice cream, and just warm, friendly attention every now and then. Generally very hospitable, very good food, and great service. Always happy to come back.

Three weeks ago, we ate there; the staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Last Monday, we ordered food to take away and were very disappointed. I called on Saturday and asked in advance if they had a vegan option, which they assured me they would. When we ordered on Monday, I specifically asked again, and they assured me they would. When we finally got the food, we realized it wasn't vegan. When we asked, they weren't aware of any wrongdoing and wanted to blame me – no attempt by Syrtaki to clarify this. Another major drawback: We all agreed that the portions eat-in were significantly larger than the takeaway ones, and the bread they served with the tzatziki was from the day before. In my opinion, a good restaurant isn't just about the food, but also about the staff when problems arise. Unfortunately, I won't be eating there again, even though the food and staff on site were always top-notch.

Danger! Here you have no idea about anything! When we asked about vegan food on Saturday, this was promised. When I asked again today when ordering, it was confirmed again. When we picked up the food, the food in question was only vegetarian with tzatziki piled high and gratinated with cheese. When you call, as a customer you get no apology and no response, just a “that must be a misunderstanding on YOUR part!” This all shows a lack of knowledge about food, and I strongly advise against it, especially for allergy sufferers!

We were at Syrtaki on Saturday with friends, the welcome was warm, the service was good and there was nothing wrong with the food, everything was great!! But in retrospect the bill was far too high!! Friends first pointed this out to us in the car. We had a Corfu plate (€23.50), baked gyros (€20.50) and once a tzatziki (€6.50) with a bottle. Water (0.7 l) a large and a small Alster...... That's €50.50 for the meal, I don't have any prices for drinks, but we paid €40 for three drinks!! The bill was €90.50!! It was probably a mistake and we unfortunately noticed it too late……which in retrospect saddens what was a very nice evening.

I was looking forward to a classic gyros plate, but was unfortunately disappointed. The price of 20 euros for the plate alone was quite high in my opinion, especially compared to other Greek restaurants in Germany. What really surprised (and frankly annoyed) me: Tzatziki wasn't included - instead you had to order it extra for a whopping 6.50 euros. For me, tzatziki simply belongs on a gyros plate; I know that from Greece, but also from many German restaurants. There it is usually served automatically and as a small side dish. An extra portion would be fine - but I don't think it's appropriate for you to get nothing at all in this price range. The plate also looked rather bland visually - a few fries, the meat just next to it, no tzatziki and the small salad in a separate bowl. Overall, the dish simply didn't convince me, especially not for a total price of around 30 euros (gyros plate + tzatziki + drink). In a well-run snack bar you can sometimes get the same quality for half the price - including tzatziki. What I would like to mention positively: The service was very attentive and friendly. The waiters asked regularly and offered ouzo several times, which is certainly a plus point for many guests. However, I don't drink alcohol myself, so this had no added value for me personally - even if, according to other reviews, it was apparently used to compensate for minor weaknesses. Overall, I was unfortunately not convinced by the price-performance ratio. It's a shame, because the atmosphere was actually pleasant and the service staff really tried hard.

I had a skewer of chicken breast fillet wrapped in bacon, fries and curry dip. Everything dry. The plates are big, but if you're really hungry you won't get enough. The price for it at 23.50 euros was also very expensive. However, I have to mention that the service was really great! There was also ouzo on the house right before serving. And then again with the bill. The location is very modern and offers plenty of space. In retrospect, I heard that some people are probably staying away due to the increased prices. Then at least the quality should be good. My friend's lamb was completely cooked too 🤷‍♀️ So, just give it a try.

Very tastefully decorated Greek restaurant. The staff is very attentive and really nice. The taste was very good, unfortunately the dish wasn't really hot for the second time. But at our request the staff in the kitchen made it even hotter. Unfortunately, not all dishes with stars are available at a reduced price, so you might want to reconsider that. Greek food, especially in the evening, is hard on the stomach 😬, and it was packed to take away at our request, but everything tastes better fresh on site.

I haven't been there for at least 25 years. The times with Thomas and Helena were legendary... (bowling alleys of the then "Deutsche Haus", early in the morning... so I set off just for a simple gyros. When I arrived I was really amazed. The whole ambience It's really very nice and, above all, not lit in bright white. Lamb with white beans and sheep's cheese. Simply five stars. I'll definitely come back. It couldn't be better.

Griechiche Restaurants gibt es gefühlt an jeder Ecke. Die meisten sind vergleichbar. Wirft man einen Blick auf die Speisekarte, wird schnell klar, dass auch hier das Standard Programm serviert wird. Aber Qualität der Speisen, der Service und auch die Atmosphäre sind wirklich erstklassig und verdient 5 Sterne. Dennoch gibt es einen Stern Abzug, weil das Preisniveau im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz deutlich zu hoch ist. Dennoch kommen wir gerne wieder!

Food very tasty. But the waiter was really over motivated. Gave us a table for 65min. Been there for two. The appetizer plate was already taken away from one person when the other wasn't finished. Wanted to clear away two half-full ouzo glasses. Another waiter was out the winter garden door and in the whole time at 2 degrees, even though there was no one outside. This made it extremely cold. We understand if time is short due to reservations. But then next time it's better to refuse than to rush. The prices are then too high for that. We were lured by the reviews but wouldn't return three stars but for the food. Delicious.

The price-performance ratio is no longer right at all. Unfortunately!! We enjoy visiting this restaurant but were negatively surprised on our last visit at the beginning of September. In the past, the lamb fillet came with potato gratin as a side dish at no extra charge. Recently there is no side dish with the main course. The lamb fillet is only served with a small dollop of Metaxa sauce and without rice, which is what we are entitled to according to the menu. An amount of over 27 euros will be charged for this. The restaurant charges 6.50 euros for a small portion of potato gratin with very few potatoes. A portion of tzatziki, which most Greek restaurants provide to their guests free of charge (hospitality theme), also costs €6.50. Until this pricing policy changes, we will unfortunately no longer visit this restaurant. The fact that I have generally increased the prices for the products is understandable for us (fish, meat, vegetables, etc.) and is generally the current problem in the catering industry. However, we are quite disappointed that you have to pay over €6.50 each for sauces (yoghurt with garlic and cucumbers) and some potatoes. For €6.50 I can get a maxi doner. The pricing policy urgently needs to be improved as some guests also complained about it that evening. The consequence will be that guests will stay away in the future.

We had dinner there on a Sunday a week ago with six people. The reception was very friendly, the orders were taken quickly and an Uozo was served on the house before the meal. The different dishes (3 different ones) were served promptly and relatively at the same time. What we ALL didn't like was that the food was ALL lukewarm at most! The gyrps meat was really VERY dry and not to OUR taste. Friendly, clean, but not really convincing for us.

The visit to Syrtaki was very worthwhile from start to finish. For us the food is top notch and delicious! The service was super nice and very attentive but not intrusive. People even asked whether they wanted to continue with the main course immediately after the starter or whether they would like to take a short break first. We also really liked the atmosphere with very comfortable chairs. The tables could perhaps be a little larger, as it was very tight for 4 people during the main course. We will definitely visit Syrtaki again one or two times, TOP address for Greek food!!!!

You definitely have to reserve a table here. The food was really very tasty. There was gratinated gyros, which is served here, among other things. gratinated with feta. Delicious. It was very busy, but the service was attentive and we didn't wait too long for our food. The atmosphere is pleasant and we had a nice evening.

As with everyone, there is less on the plate and more expensive. Quality is very good. And the clothes smell strongly of food afterwards.

Typical Greek specialties are available here in an upscale gastronomic atmosphere with friendly and attentive service staff. When you stand in front of the entrance you don't believe in what you see and get. Visits here are also recommended by myself.

I was there with 3 friends on a Thursday at around 6:30 p.m. Luckily we had reservations. It was pretty crowded. I ordered tzatziki as a starter and baked gyros as the main course. Previously there was an ouzo. It was really delicious 😋 and we were more than full. The service was very nice. Gladly again.

It was a tip from a good friend. We were looking forward to it but unfortunately very, very disappointed 😞 Despite ordering a table, we still don't have our table after 40 minutes. People came after us and got a table before us. Regular guests and acquaintances seem to have priority. New customers are ignored and calmed down with ouzo. When I told him after 40 minutes that we were very upset, he just shrugged his shoulders and didn't care. We're never coming back. I have never experienced something like that. He probably doesn't need it.

It was my wife's wedding anniversary and we wanted to end the evening at Syrtaki on the recommendation of a Greek friend. We had already made a reservation the day before based on recommendations from the Syrtaki restaurant at 8 p.m. because we actually wanted to come at 6 p.m. So we were there promptly at 7:50 p.m. The boss told us we had to wait a bit, we were early anyway. A few more couples came and were also ordered at 8 p.m. So we wait in the narrow entrance area near the toilet to get a table because it was cold and wet outside. After 20 minutes we were still standing where we were. About 7 people came from outside and asked us if we were waiting and had a reservation and told us that they hadn't made a reservation. Then one person went to the boss who was standing near us and said to him that you came from the city administration. Everyone got a table immediately because others left and we were still standing in the entrance area and were calmed down with ouzo. Waiting guests had already left in anger. Then I noticed that the boss went outside and invited a group of 5 people in and were assigned a table. They were probably regulars. At 8:30 p.m. we were still standing in the entrance area, so 40 minutes of waiting and still no table. We had enough of it. We made our displeasure known to the boss, but he probably didn't care because his store was probably running anyway. I've never experienced anything like this before and then I went out with my wife and went to the Delphi restaurant and immediately got a table and also met the people who also left Syrtaki in a stink. The conclusion is that only regular guests or employees of offices are given preference..... Never again Syrtaki in Bad Oeynhausen.... And dear boss of Syrtaki... I don't need an apology from you.... The one that gave me your restaurant recommended is a relative of yours.... Thanks for nothing I can't rate the food as there wasn't any for us
