It's worthwhile and an experience to eat here.
At first we wanted to move on, but then
"Oh, come on, let's go inside, it's something different to eat on a ship."
No sooner said than done, and I have to say, even though we only got a seat on deck, since everything inside was taken, it was a good decision...
I had the bread with aoli as a starter and the schnitzel for the main course...
The aoli was very, very tasty....
The schnitzel was also delicious, but the fries (sorry for the expression) were mega-delicious.... I've never eaten such good fries.... but now I'm ready....
Respect to the kitchen, you're doing a fantastic job, I take my hat off to you....
The prices are also great
After carelessly walking past it during my last stays at the Emden youth hostel, I was there this time as a guest.
The proprietor welcomed me very warmly in the late afternoon as the only guest and told me that he was already the third generation of Italians to run the pizzeria. And that's not a given in Emden, where, out of more than 50 pizzerias, there are only two authentic Italian ones.
The restaurant, which looks small and unassuming from the outside and which I always associated with a kiosk, is actually much more spacious and also has cozy tables outside under old trees.
The perfect stone-baked pizza, the freshly tapped beer, and the truly friendly service absolutely won me over!
And at the end, I was treated to a Marsala on the house.
I learned that the whole of Emden knows about Pinocchio and that reservations are generally better made.
It was a pleasure, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the hospitality!
Highly recommended!
I will visit you again on my next visit to Emden!
Lovingly cozy and comfortably furnished, you get great service and great food at reasonable prices. This pizzeria is well attended and is located on the wall, making it a great place to eat before or after a walk.
However, it is often well attended, so it makes sense to call beforehand. There are plenty of parking spaces across the street, so a two-minute walk via two sets of traffic lights will quickly lead you to your destination.
Best restaurant in Emden!
Super delicious food, nice service and great owners
We eat there regularly.
Whether with the family or in larger groups. Always everything “on point”
Cute, rustic restaurant. Highly recommended pizza. Unfortunately, the pasta was a disappointment; it was very, very hard. The host was very moody and at times quite rude. What a shame.
Unfriendly staff. The food had no taste. The sushi was plain and the curry was flavorless. I’ve had a bad experience in this city because of this restaurant.
Santino, a true Sicilian, runs this small, cozy bistro. Gazagrande, however, has the business firmly under control, so Santino can take care of the other restaurants. If you're feeling peckish, there are small snacks and a small selection of hot dishes daily, perfectly adequate for a bistro. The service is uncomplicated and prompt. This is where you can live the Dolce Vita in Emden, to the fullest!
I'm a regular customer and have never been disappointed. Once or twice a week are mandatory... no more, otherwise you'll still look like the host (comfortable/gourmand/hospitable and always in a good mood type) ;-)
A cozy, great hall. Very suitable for celebrating.
We were there for a graduation party. There was no food. But expensive drinks. I think 4 euros in Fanta/Alster is way too expensive for a graduation party (10th grade). That's why you had to pay an entrance fee of 15 euros. Oh well. It's a one-time thing. Nevertheless, it was a nice evening for them kids.
It's about 50 years ago, it's hard to believe, that we spent our fifth and sixth lessons here. There were delicious meatballs, beer too, of course, and the daughter of the house wasn't quite in charge of the billing, which we young urchins naturally took advantage of shamelessly. Greetings to everyone who remembers.
