We discovered the lightship by chance while on vacation and decided to dine there at short notice. The food was tasty and the price-performance ratio was okay, although not perfect. The ambience is actually great, but is somewhat dampened by some untidy corners. That could definitely have been cleaned up. Conclusion: A nice and special location for a visit on vacation!

Tested the lightship... we are on fire 🔥 Appetizer: Smutjes starter plate and toddler group. Main course: 3 fish fillets from the day's catch (plaice, Cape pike, sharkbut) The appetizer plate is delicious, well stocked and enough for 2. The cabbage soup is a poem and perfectly balanced. Not intrusive and tastes very high! In the main courses, all the fish were cooked to perfection, juicy and finely balanced. Recommendation: Actually, you can recommend everything, but I would particularly like to highlight the crab soup. 5 stars +++ The staff attentive and very accommodating. Conclusion: An absolute recommendation for fish fans!

Great northern German food in a fantastic atmosphere. The very friendly waitress immediately brought the children a children's menu to color and pens. What a feeling to eat on an old fire department ship. Service and food was 1a. However, a reservation is highly recommended, especially in the evenings.

Went to Emden for a day and after visiting the Otto Huus and taking a walk along the Delft we decided to eat on the lightship. Beforehand there were insights into life at sea, with interesting conversations and equipment that was needed at sea. Right here you were warmly welcomed and given a lot of interesting information; you can tell how much everyone involved cares about maintaining the ship. Afterwards we had lunch in the restaurant. Since the weather was nice, we were able to sit outside and watch the goings-on on the water. The food was really very good, as was the service, very nice staff and everything rounded off with this nice ambience. One thing is certain for us...we'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Emden.

The service is mostly super nice and competent. The employees are attentive, friendly and always have a smile on their faces. They know the menu well and are happy to make recommendations. They are also flexible and accommodating when it comes to special requests. The atmosphere on board is very cozy. When the weather is good, it's a dream to sit on the deck and enjoy the maritime surroundings. The historic ambience of the lightship further adds to the unique experience. We like to come often, sometimes just to have a drink, which isn't a problem either. The relaxed atmosphere invites you to linger, whether for a full dinner or just a drink. In summary, I can say that the lightship is an absolute must for every visitor to Emden and also for locals. The combination of excellent food, friendly service and unique ambience makes every visit a special experience. Whether for a dinner for two, a large group or just a drink with friends - the lightship is always an excellent choice.

There were three of us and we ate fried fish. Fantastic: Ambiance, service, food and drinks. Anyone who visits Emden must have been here!

We got married on the bridge of the ship. We then booked the all-round carefree package for our guests and ourselves. Our wedding meal was truly the finest, from starter to dessert. The team took wonderful care of everything and even got us our wedding cake from the local pastry chef. Every wish has been fulfilled. Our wedding guests and we were more than satisfied with everything.

Well, a 'Gretsiel crab soup' shouldn't have a delivery time of >45 minutes. A nice atmosphere and helplessly stammering service staff don't help either. ...great location if you want to go out to eat in Emden❗️My wife and I sat on the upper deck and had baked fresh pork schnitzel with fries and a very tasty salad (colorful lettuce, honeydew melon, tomatoes, cucumbers, homemade dressing) for 19.90 EUR and once fresh Labskaus with smoked salmon, fresh herring, a very mild fried roll mop, 5 small spoonfuls of caviar, a large portion of Labskaus, delicious fried egg as well as fresh beetroot and Azia cucumbers for EUR 21.40. We also treated ourselves to 2 large apple spritzers for EUR 4.80 each. Everything was very fresh, hot, sufficiently portioned and, above all, delicious...‼️☺️ If we were to be in Emden again, we would be happy to come back...

If you find out in the museum beforehand that this ship actually sails once a year and you learn the history there from the launch until today, you see what you have experienced with completely different eyes. But there is one BUT, I really wanted to drink East Frisian tea the way it is traditionally done, with clouds. But the cup didn't fit at all and the tea was in a tea bag. Very unfortunate. We were there for dinner and luckily had reserved a table in advance. The ambience is great, the atmosphere of an old ship, looks beautiful! The reception and the entire service were very friendly and accommodating. Since we were there very early, the food came very quickly, it was tasty and hot! If we ever find ourselves in Emden again, we'd be happy to do so again!

Nach schon vielen Besuchen im Restaurant des Feuerschiffs in Emden waren wir zum ersten Mal enttäuscht. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Vorspeisenteller war jetzt ohne Krabben, Preis trotzdem geblieben. Zu den Schnitzeln (Fleisch konnte man nicht als geschnittenes Stück erkennen, es hatte die Form eines geformten Quaders) musste man den kleinen Topf mit Mayo zusätzlich mit 0,70 € bezahlen, bei mehr als 23,00 Euro eine Frechheit. Abzocke sollte man sich nich bieten lassen!

Dinieren auf dem Feuerschiff ist was Besonderes. Wir haben vorzüglich gespeist, das Servicepersonal war freundlich und flott und die Speisen waren sehr gut, Portionen überaus reichlich und sehr schön angerichtet. Alles in allem ein absolut gelungener Abend, jederzeit zu empfehlen. Unbedingt reservieren!

Urige, gemütliche Atmosphäre bei bestem Service und guter Küche. Wir können das "Feuerschiff" nur weiterempfehlen!

Beim Urlaub in Greetsiel wurde auch der Besuch des Feuerschiffes in Emden eingeplant. Eine Woche vorher hatten wir den Tisch reserviert. Dort angekommen wurden wir sehr freundlich zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Die Speisen waren bereits online ausgesucht und wir freuten uns auf den Labskaus der so prima angepriesen war. Ein frisch gezapftes Jever dazu eine perfekte Lösung. Das Essen prima die Bedienung freundlich und der im Anschluss getrunken Espresso perfekt. Ein Rundgang auf dem Museumsschiff ging leider wegen sehr schlechten Wetter nicht. Aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben. Werde gerne weiterempfehlen und selbst wiederkommen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und was besonderes. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Tolles Ambiente. Gerne wieder.

Heute spontan das Feuerschiff zum Essen geentert, ohne vorherige Tischreservierung, und sehr sehr lecker und gut gegessen. Bin immer noch im Himmel. Meine Empfehlung ist das Labskaus mit Spiegelei an Lachs, Matjes, Nordseekrabben und Kaviar. Der Service war bzw ist top, die Location spricht für sich selbst und ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Vielen Dank für einen tollen kulinarischen Abend.

Über das Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen. Wir waren zu dritt und wurden wieder weggeschickt. Aussage der Kellnerin, sie haben heute zwei größere Gruppen und die Zubereitungsdauer der Speisen wäre sicherlich zu lang für uns. Schade. Dann sind wir halt wo anders Essen gegangen.

Tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen und eine nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wären wir hier nicht im Urlaub, wir wären häufiger hier.

Eten op een museumschip. Een belevenis op zich for all the good reasons. Excellente kwaliteit van het eten en meer dan genoeg......en dampend heet op tafel. Personeel dat lacht en plezier heeft in het vak, dat ziet wat er nodig is en ook weet wat er geserveerd wordt en hoe het smaakt. Door de kleine ruimte, het tapijt en de laaghangende zachte verlichting is het gezellig. Een aanrader, je moet wel reserveren trouwens. En bovenal honden Zijn echt welkom.

Für einen Besuch in Emden haben wir vorab nach einem schönen Restaurant geschaut und sind dabei auf das Feuerschiff gestoßen. Schon auf den Fotos hat uns das maritime Ambiente angesprochen. Vor Ort wurde man nicht enttäuscht, alles ist schön rustikal und erinnert an die Vergangenheit des Schiffes. Vorab muss ich erwähnen, dass man unbedingt reservieren sollte, da das Feuerschiff baulich bedingt ein relativ kleines Restaurant beherbergt. Mit etwas Glück bekommt man noch einen Platz draußen, aber bei schlechten Wetter ist das ja auch nicht immer die beste Option. Wir hatten vorweg die Greetsieler Krabbensuppe, welche sehr schmackhaft und würzig war (und sehr heiß). Als Hauptgang hatten wir jeder den Emder Hafenteller mit Matjes, Bratrollmops, Matjesstippe, Speckbohnen und Bratkartoffeln, welchen wir auch uneingeschränkt empfehlen können. Der Serviceteam war sehr freundlich und hatte immer einen flotten Spruch auf Lager. Sie haben oft nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, manchmal musste auch auf sich aufmerksam machen (hat aber irgendwie zum rustikalen Ambiente gepasst und war völlig in Ordnung).

Super leckeres Essen! Sehr leckere Auswahl. Kann die Vorspeise Bruschetta mit Krabben nur empfehlen. Auch die Muscheln super lecker. Sehr nettes Personal und sehr aufmerksam. Draußen kann man auch super geschützt sitzen!

Das war der beste Kapitän Labskaus auf dem Feuerschiff in Emden. Das Personal super freundlich und um keine Antwort verlegen. Der Preis war für die Qualität des Labskaus voll in Ordnung.

Wird sind durch Zufall beim Spazierengehen an dem Schiff entlang gelaufen und mit Freude ein gemütliches Plätzchen erobert. Tolles Essen!! Nette Bedienung! Absoluter Tipp für gut Essen gehen in Emden!

Meine Frau und ich waren sehr positiv überrascht von unseren Speisen, Emder Hafenteller und Muscheln als Hauptspeise. Beide waren sehr lecker und die Menge mehr als ausreichend. Vor allem die sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung hat zu einem gelungenen Abend beigetragen.

In unserem letzten Urlaub war das Restaurant leider geschlossen. Um so mehr haben wir uns gefreut wieder dort essen zu dürfen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch unser Hund war kein Problem. Das Essen war, wie vor ein paar Jahren, sehr gut. Werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Waren heute nochmal essen und wieder sehr begeistert. Beim nächsten Ostfriesland Urlaub kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolles Museumsschiff, wir waren zur Nacht der Museen in Emden und es wurde vieles erklärt. Sehr beeindruckend, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und erhalten.

Spontan an Board gegangen, gleich einen Tisch bekommen, bis die Bedienung kam dauerte es etwas länger hat aber für die Kinder gleich Stifte und ausmalbare Speisekarte mitgebracht, essen war sehr lecker(Burger und scholle). Sehr gerne wieder

Wir hatten den Vorspeisenteller und dann hatte ich die Currysuppe. Sie war perfekt abgeschmeckt. Mein Mann hatte einen Fischteller und war auch begeistert. Kann es jedem nur empfehlen. Vorher reservieren wäre aber schon wichtig. Sonst kann es sein, das kein Platz frei ist.
