Leider maßlos enttäuscht!! Salat mit fertigdressing GyrosFleisch durchwachsen, Sehnig und wabbelig. Geschmacklich nicht gut. Bedienung nicht kritikfähig

Like every year, the four of us spent a longer lunch break here. It was good that I made a reservation weeks ago because the restaurant is busy at lunchtime. -And rightly so, I think.- Attention, friendliness and delicious food impressed us again this time. Thanks for that...and: I'll reserve a table in time for the next dormouse.

Very unfriendly food was perfect and good

The steak was lukewarm and the onions that came with it didn't come until 10 minutes later

Nice Greek food. They don't hold back on quantity. I have never seen so much meat on a plate. Didn't manage to eat it all, which is very rare for me. 😀

The restaurant was well attended and we got a seat outside. The cellar was very friendly and the food and the items were served quickly. The food was delicious and the tzatziki was very good. The prices are within normal limits. The toilets were clean.

Perfect, all the meat cooked to perfection. Large portions with rice, fries, salad and tzatziki. Price/performance great, drinks not overpriced either. Sit comfortably in the restaurant or outside. Nice service, greeting with an ouzo. Short vacation in Emden, so only here twice. Otherwise we would be regular customers!

Food, price, service top One star deducted because toilets are in the basement and not barrier-free for people with disabilities.

We had dinner there in the evening on a recommendation. The staff welcomed you very friendly. The atmosphere is, let's say, rustic, but that doesn't detract from the atmosphere at all. We ate very, very well and plentifully there. The price is completely acceptable for 2 People with plenty of food on their plates (starter platter for the lady and grilled liver with onions, grilling liver so perfectly to the point, not everyone can do that) ouzo, wine and beer for just 60 euros. Great, we'll be back. At the end of August, the Duisburg angler colleagues will be there again, I think for the third time. Don't forget to reserve.

It's really sad what we had to experience. This used to be our regular restaurant... We spontaneously decided to go out to eat at Olympia with our two children at 5:30 p.m. We were the first guests and were warmly welcomed as always. Since we didn't have a reservation, we were allowed to sit in the winter garden. However, it was very warm and stuffy there. After we tilted two small upper windows, someone came a few minutes later to close them again and said that there was a draft at the front. It doesn't matter whether our 2.5 year old daughter gets fresh air or not. But we had to and accepted it that way. After we ate the food, which was really tasty, it was time to pay. The employee came to our table without a bill and said: "That's 67.30 euros." I then rounded up to 70 euros and still asked for the bill. A short time later the bill followed with the statement: "You will get another euro back. I made a mistake." I then gave the one euro in addition to the tip. But when I looked at the bill a little later, an additional drink had been charged for just under 5 euros, which we never drank. Anything like that can happen and we are only human, but we were the first guests, the bill only came when we asked, first adding one euro, then deducting one too many drinks (and there were only four drinks in total for four people). This really gives me pause and that's why I decided to write this review and avoid this restaurant in the future. A real shame.

We had dinner there at the weekend (short vacation in Emden). Didn't make a reservation and got a table outside. Service was good and friendly. Food tasty and portion size OK. There was an ouzo with the drink (free). What wasn't mentioned and wasn't mentioned anywhere: ONLY CASH PAYMENT POSSIBLE!!!! So I had to go to the nearest ATM while my husband waited at the table. Sorry, I didn't think that was right. In this day and age, when many people hardly have any cash in their wallets, I don't find this customer-friendly.

It was nice but we had to wait 45 minutes for our food and when we asked the staff they said "It will take another 2 minutes" But it was only after 15 minutes that the first dish arrived. Food was good but the waiting time wasn't, far too long.

We arrived at 1:50 p.m. Open until 2.30 p.m., kitchen open until 2 p.m. Employee said kitchen closed. I wonder. Should the pub be based on the customer or something else. During the pandemic you complained that no one supported you, then many people helped and now when you are feeling a little better you don't care about the customers. What are your opening hours for? Get rid of them, you're doing what you want anyway. It may be that the food is good, but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to try it. Das Ambiente ist sehr nett und der Service wirklich ausgezeichnet, sehr freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Die Auswahl der Speisen lässt leider einige Wünsche offen da nach unserer Meinung viele typisch Griechischen Speisen nicht angeboten werden, beispielsweise Moussaka oder Dolmades. Das bestellte Essen kam schnell, an Souflaki und Gyros war nichts auszusetzen, der kleine Vorweg Salat eine nette Geste aber etwas enttäuschen da mit ziemlich ekligem Fertigdressing serviert. Zaziki ausserordentlich lecker und frischt zubereitet, die Leber war leider steinhart und ziemlich kalt, begraben unter Bergen von Zwiebeln und Pommes. Die Portionen insgesamt sind sehr gross, wir haben trotz Hunger bei weitem nicht alles geschafft. Insgesamt nun nicht gerade ein kulinarisches Highlight aber wir werden es trotzdem bestimmt nochmal versuchen.

We've eaten there quite often, including for lunch. This also works without a reservation. In the evening I recommend making a reservation. The service is always very friendly and attentive. The food is always good and plentiful, even small special requests are no problem. The only disadvantage: the toilets are not easily accessible for older people because they are in the basement. (Stages)

Was in the restaurant again today after a long time. Sorry but the food wasn't good today. I have never eaten such a bad gyro. We had an Olympic plate for 2 people. The quantity was insufficient. Oh ha, it can only get better. A pity

Very disappointing compared to before. Prices attracted meat like a children's plate. Gyros like rubber!! It's a shame... even if you open another restaurant!!!

Today for the first time in Emden at the Greek Olympia. Nice restaurant with a really great lady at the counter! Even though I hadn't made a reservation and was alone, I was able to choose a free table myself. Unfortunately, this doesn't exist everywhere. The beer, the ouzo and the white wine (recommended by the charming counter lady) were really great! The food actually too (just gyros with side dishes). Mega portion that I can't manage!!! Just the hollandaise... unfortunately diluted with water or milk! You don't do that!!! 🙈 That's the only reason for the one point deduction. But that didn't ruin my evening. Also thanks to the hospitality of the two service staff!!! Price/performance ratio, typically East Frisian: fits!!! 😉 Thank you for the lovely evening 🙏‼️

Very nice staff and very good service, Greek music, great ambience and then the food, we had a platter for 2 people: 2 meat kebabs, gyros, 2 souflakis, 2 small steaks, rice, fries, tzatziki and salad. The meat is all very juicy. Really awesome and can only be recommended.

A typical Greek restaurant. The food was great, every time. But the basement t-shirt was inappropriate for me. I find a person with a mask and a gun on his back next to an employee of a restaurant. But that's my opinion.

Greek restaurant with an extensive menu. The taste of the food is great and the portions are large. I found it cozy here with quiet background music. The service is very attentive and friendly. The prices are well calculated and not set too high.

Genau unser Stil. Das Lokal mit Einrichtung und Deko nicht überladen, SUPER Service und das Essen einfach unbeschreiblich lecker. Wir hatten Bifteki, Grillteller Kreta und Gyros. Es war geschmacklich super und auch wie es angerichtet war...einfach toll. Sehr gerne wieder👍👍👍

Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Service war sehr freundlich und es gab so gut wie keine Wartezeiten für Getränke etc. Das Essen selbst war auch sehr lecker und die Portion ausreichend (nicht zu groß aber auch nicht zu klein :D).

Sehr gutes Essen. Faire Preise. Top Qualität. Tipp, Schweinelendchen, super zart. Oder Leber. Auf den Punkt gebraten nicht zäh oder mit Sehnen. Fleischqualität einfach sehr sehr gut.

Update Waren am 25.12. 23 wieder mal da. Diesmal kann ich es nicht empfehlen. Hatten mit 4 Personen einen Tisch, wo man 2 Mal einige Stufen hoch musste. Der Platz war dann ganz am Ende. Man fühlte sich abgeschoben. Bei jeder Bewegung quitschte der Tisch und die Lampe flackerte andauernd. Wir habe Getränke nach der Speisekarte bestellt. Es war immer 0,2l abgegeben. Bekommen haben wir 0,4l und natürlich wurden die auch teurer vom Preis berechnet Essen war wie immer sehr gut Personal war für einem Feiertag, wo gefühlt jeder Essen geht, eindeutig zu wenig. Sehr lecker und freundliches Personal

Bin sehr zufrieden. Sehr leckeres Essen und eine super nette Bedienung. Wenn wir mal wieder nach Emden kommen, dann kommen wir definitiv wieder dort essen. Am Nebentisch saß ein Mann, der 27 Mal direkt hintereinander genießt hat. Ich habe noch nie soetwas gesehen und ich war tief beeindruckt. Hat nichts mit dem Lokal zutun, aber das musste ich einfach erzählen.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit toller Bedienung und einem gewissen Extra. Wärmste Weiterempfehlung!

War ein netter Abend. Preis/ Leistung ok. Personal freundlich.

Bestellt wurde die nr. 46. Essen war sehr heiß. Super gewürzt, Fleisch war gut gegrillt. Die Soße war lecker. Der Vorspeisensalat hatte ei leckeres Dressing. Der Uzo und das Bier war auch Top. Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und hatte nach der Raumtemperatur gefragt. Weil im hauptbereich alles voll war, wurde ich weiter hinten hingesetzt. Jedoch war die Temperatur so schon ok. Toilette war sauber

Teilweise noch rohes Essen. Bedienung war freundlich und ich habe ein neues Stück Fleisch bekommen. Das Gyros war sehr fettig und knorpelig.

Sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Essen, die gegrillte Leber ist sehr zu empfehlen. Einziges Manko, das Kartenzahlung nicht möglich ist...wir kommen trotzdem wieder 👍

Wir waren spontan heute Abend hier zu Gast und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Freundliche Bedingungen, sehr leckeres Essen! Kommen gerne wieder!

Hier stimmt es einfach! Reservieren konnten wir nicht, dafür aber einfach auf gut Glück vorbeigehen. Auf der Terrasse am Marktplatz ist das Ambiente ganz hübsch, das Essen kam nach einer völlig normalen Wartezeit und es war super lecker. Was mich am meisten gefreut hat war, dass die Grillgerichte von Haus aus mit Beilagensalat, Pommes, Reis und Tzaziki serviert werden. Da muss man nichts extra bestellen.

Gutes Essen, es ist dort sehr viel los. Bei gutem Wetter, kann man hervorragend Draußen sitzen.

Wirklich lecker & Super Service!

Das Essen an dem Abend war okay. Bin sehr gerne dort weil die Atmosphäre sehr schön und gesellig ist. Das Personal ist immer sehr nett und freundlich :) An dem Abend waren leider alle Salate die bestellt wurden, sehr sehr sauer. Das Gyros bei einigen sehr durch und trocken & das Steak war noch recht blutig. Zum Schluß gab es noch einen Ouzo. Prost! 😊

Lovely place with nice terrace on a nice square. The service was superb and very quick. Gyros was a bit too chunky for my taste, but that's personal.

Tolle Atmosphäre und Klasse Speisen

Ein sehr gutes griechisches Restaurant, welches schon über Jahrzehnte eine grund solide Leistung abliefert. Das Personal ist ausnahmslos höflich, freundlich und mit aller gebotener Ruhe im Service dabei.

Super leckeres Essen. Bifteki war extrem gut, ebenso das Zaziki. Gyros war auf den Punkt gut zubereitet und sehr saftig. Bedienung war immer auf Zack,und sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem extrem empfehlenswert.

Auch Euch möchten wir für das tolle Essen und den Service 5 Sterne geben. Sehr sehr gute Gerichte mit sehr Guter Qualität. Auch die deco der Teller der Gerichte fanden wir auffällig gut. Anscheinend gibt es in Emden nur gute Restaurants . Wir waren Dienstags Abends schön Essen. Gut besuchtes Restaurant in der Innenstadt. Junges dynamisches freundliches Team. Ich war das erste mal hier Essen und kann sagen....es war außerordentlich lecker. Sehr sehr gut. Super heiß und extrem schmackhaft. Gyros war auf den Punkt genau richtig. Schnitzel war ebenfalls super zart. Das Bifteki war genial. Selten so gut beim Griechen gegessen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Waren heute mit der Familie essen. Super leckeres frisches Essen zu einem guten Preis. Service ist auch sehr freundlich. Einziges Manko ☺️Wäre toll wenn es noch einen Ouzo als absacker geben würde. Wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir mal wieder in Emden sind.

Teilweise war das Gyros verbrannt. Die Damentoilette war ohne Papier. Die Türen konnte man nur mit Druck verschließen. Auch die Toiletten müssen in einem ordentlichen Zustand sein, ansonsten ist das für mich kein vernünftiges Restaurant.
