Restaurant Olympia in Emden

We had to wait forever to order drinks, and then wait just as long to order food. Only to then wait another long time for the food itself. The food was underseasoned.

We ordered a gyros plate here for the first time today and were very satisfied. It was plentiful and tasted excellent. The salad was also totally fresh and delicious, as were the fries and rice. The tzatziki was really good too. Unfortunately, you have to order the tzatziki separately. I'm used to tzatziki being included with gyros, but that's not a problem at all. We were completely satisfied and now have a new favorite spot where you can eat really delicious gyros. Highly recommended! TOP!!!

Food was cold and not very good!!

Staff very friendly, atmosphere okay, food so-so.

They charge foreigners different prices. We were given an English menu, but the prices on the bill were €10 higher. When we noticed the prices were different than we thought, we looked at the menu again. Then they exchanged glances and nervously said something like, "Are they checking the prices?" We explained that each item was about €3 more expensive than listed on the menu. They then said they had forgotten to update the prices. If prices are increased, they should inform customers before they order. It's not right to accept orders at a lower price and then charge €10 more when paying. They didn't even apologize and just said they had forgotten to update the prices. We were now obligated to pay the €10 higher price. I'm shocked to see this kind of treatment of international students. It's astonishing that restaurants like this still exist. The meat was tough.
