Came here after it was recommended to us by a few people. Don’t think I’ve ever had sushi as tasty as this! And I visited Japan last year!
Amazing choice, quality ingredients, overall an amazing evening meal
Unfortunately that was nothing! Table set for 8 p.m. and therefore the last guests. Ordered water for the aperitif. But what came was not poured. I knew it differently from last time (but it was also less busy) and I generally expect that from a certain price level. My wife and I's water glasses had streaks from the dishwasher (rinse aid). Since the service staff wasn't visible for several minutes, I exchanged the glasses at the bar and they were brought out a few minutes later. Because we were thirsty, we had to “repurpose” the empty wine glasses. As a starter we had chestnut soup and porcini mushroom soup, as a main course we had two meat dishes and two truffle pasta. Unfortunately the soup only came after 40 minutes. For the porcini mushroom soup, the shrimp described on the menu was quickly swapped for tuna. There were probably no shrimp left as a topping. Then the kitchen/service should consult with the guest - neither of them like fish. Too bad! Our chestnut soups were terrible: no chestnut taste, just alcohol aromas (port wine?) and more of a broth-like consistency. This was returned for us and was inedible.
Main course (fillet at €39) also rather poor. Meat has strange grill pattern from wild turning. Medium rare on one side/medium on the other. Mashed potatoes not creamy and bland and the blanched vegetables too. Sauce was tasty but far too little in relation to the rest. The other meat dish was supposed to be a medium-rare steak, but it was rare inside!
The truffle pasta was like the standard Italian. 'Could have used a little more seasoning (salt, white pepper?). Probably just put together but not seasoned.
The cook didn't do a good job for us, at least that day. The lady in service was very friendly and helpful. However, due to the capacity of the restaurant, it is also at its limit. Due to the price-performance ratio (we were not charged for the soups), we will no longer visit the restaurant and would not recommend it. Too bad!
Die Villa Lauda ist eines der besten Lokale in Frankfurt - hier kann man wirklich ausgezeichnet essen aus einer reichhaltigen Auswahl! Absolut empfehlenswert!
The food was unique and delicious. You rarely find these dishes in this combination. The ambiance was also very pleasant, and the service was super friendly. It's perfect for a fun evening with great dishes and for people who want to try something new.
The wine selection is very large, and the wines are also very good. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.
Still a nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere, good service and reasonable price/performance ratio. Unfortunately the quality of the food is no longer what it used to be. Unfortunately, the formerly excellent pasta has become a bit boring and the portion is relatively small... What a shame!
The food was incredibly tasty. I especially appreciated the concept of sharing dishes, which created a very positive atmosphere and encouraged communal dining. The place itself exudes warmth and friendliness, making the time spent there truly enjoyable.
Super cute little Italian family restaurant. The dishes are lovingly prepared, the portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.
The espresso at the end also tastes great, I can only recommend the place!
We love Mona’s! As Americans living in Germany we come every so often to get our American breakfast fix. The staff is kind and the owner always comes around and asks how we are! It’s so welcoming and everyone treats our daughter with kindness.
The food is also sooo good!
