Incredible, delicious, fresh food! I highly recommend the veggie thali - it’s amazing! The mango lassi is also exceptional. Wonderful service from friendly waiting staff, and speedily delivered to the table. You can also request heat adjustment depending on how hot you like your food. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a really nice late night snack-chai here on the weekend. We sat outside, it was warm despite the cold winds, the ambience was cozy. 🥰 Slurping a cup of chai which reminded me of home along with munching on some crispy samosas, street food style- Gobi Manchurian and pakodas...😍 Interesting conversations with the owner topped off our night! We're looking forward to our next visit!😇

Unfortunately I'm not satisfied at all. The chicken was super tough, the curry sauce didn't taste at all, it was like buying cheap chicken pieces and ready-made curry sauce in the supermarket and mixing them together. Only the rice was normal, as rice tastes like : ) I like to eat Indian food a lot but that was the most bland Indian food I've ever eaten. Actually it wasn't Indian food, but German with some kind of curry sauce. I didn't even like the mango lassi because it was so sweet that I could barely drink it.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant for the first time this evening. I had a wonderful eggplant and curry dish, my wife had a vegetarian rice dish, with delicious naan and finally a mango lassi. I would like to thank you for this lovely evening: from the food to the drinks to the service, everything was wonderful and flawless: I have rarely experienced such courteous service. I had the pleasure of visiting the Indian restaurant Mera Masala as it had been recommended to me several times by my German colleagues in Frankfurt. I can say with certainty that it was a culinary experience in a class of its own! From the warm welcome to the delicious dishes - everything was just perfect. Let's start with the beautifully presented Mango Lassi. This refreshing drink was the perfect start to our dinner. The creamy consistency and the sweet mango note with the rose syrup were simply heavenly. For starters, we tried the Pani Puri as they looked very interesting at the table next to us and all I can say is: Wow! These small, crispy dough balls filled with potatoes with a spicy tamarind sauce and fresh herbs were a real treat. The taste was explosive and we were immediately impressed! Especially recommended on warm summer days. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Butter Chicken (a typical dish of Indian cuisine, but really nowhere better than here). Tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce - to die for! The spices were perfectly balanced and gave the dish a wonderful depth. It was served with freshly baked garlic naan, which was ideal for dipping in the sauce. We finished off with the rasmalai and I can only say that it was the perfect sweet ending. The curd balls in the aromatic milk were light yet incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented - an absolute must for any dessert lover! Overall, I can only highly recommend eating at Mera Masala. The combination of excellent food, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere makes this restaurant a real gem. I am already looking forward to my next visit to Frankfurt.

Very courteous friendly service. We were celebrating a birthday and a waiter thoughtfully brought a vase for a bouquet of flowers. The food is so good and the portions are reasonably sized. Sanitary facilities are well maintained.

Mega! We went back straight after a week because we liked it so much :) We had vegetarian starters and main courses (see pictures), which were very plentiful and deliciously seasoned. The plates are very lovingly designed! Even small extra requests were no problem. Very nice staff, short waiting times and plenty of outdoor seating, which is why it's nice, especially in summer. We'd love to come back!

The Mera Masala is located on Sandweg in Frankfurt, in the wonderful Bornheim district, near the popular Berger Straße. The location is excellent and easy to get to. For any fan of Indian cuisine, eating at Mera Masala is a true dream. If you need details and don't want to believe me, you can look at the Journal Frankfurt's "Frankfurt goes out" where it is ranked 4th. The restaurant is in no way inferior to other top restaurants and is a clear must. Mera Masala is not just a recommendation, but a call to visit this excellent Indian restaurant and see for yourself. Wie immer sehr lecker- allerdings war mein Gericht als scharf deklariert und es war überhaupt nicht scharf. Auf Nachfrage bekam ich dann scharfe Sauce und Chili. Das war ein bisschen schade!

Ich gehe wirklich sehr gerne indisch Essen, aber Mera Marsala war was Besonders. Das Essen war unter den Besten, das ich je gehabt habe. Es war lebendig, aber nicht so laut, dass man seinen Nachbarn anschreien musste. Alles in einem, ein sehr schöner Abend mit sehr gutem Essen. Das mag das erste Mal sein, aber wird auf keinen Fall das Letzte.

Nach langer Zeit haben wir endlich mal wieder mega lecker 😋 indisch gesessen. Wir können daher das Mera Masala sehr weiterempfehlen. Sehr freundlicher Service, das Butter-Chicken war sehr toll gewürzt, auch das Nan-Brot war sehr lecker 😋. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Food has a great taste better than most and a large selection of drinks

NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! The food is delicious but not so particularly tasty that you can ONLY eat Indian food there. The prices are exorbitant. You can definitely eat Indian cuisine at least as tasty somewhere else and at least €5 cheaper (e.g. for the main course). The ambience isn't anything special either, very simple and everything is pretty tight. If at least the service was good, you would have been satisfied at least once. Somehow they were totally overwhelmed and unfortunately not at all guest friendly, quite the opposite... totally unpleasant and for that reason I won't set foot there again. Then they charged me for a dry chocolate suffle with stale ice cream that tasted like nothing for my birthday, claiming that my husband had ordered it. The situation was slightly different. All in all, I'm very unhappy and wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. 2 cola 1 main course 1 starter 7 shots 1 espresso and the unwanted desserts, 100€ There wasn't even a shot or espresso on the house! I'm really disappointed. So let's be honest, people go somewhere else... the store is just hype!!!

What can you say, after a very, very long time, I finally found a restaurant where everything was just right We were there spontaneously on Saturday evening around 8:30 p.m 2 adults 1 toddler The welcome was great and even though it was very full we were given a table Waiters were all very friendly and accommodating Even when our child was 21 months old jumping around there and occasionally getting in the way, everyone was very polite Therefore, a tip for parents to visit the restaurant We felt very comfortable there To eat it was very good and perfectly adapted 1 menu normal The other sharp, both perfect We had 1x Butter Chicken and 1x Tikka Paaner Masala In any case we will come back Lg

Way to over rated. 19€ for a curry which isn’t very good is way to much. Service is good tho.

Went here spontaneously last week with a larger group. The staff is very attentive and friendly, so we got a table for everyone. Then there was a greeting from the kitchen, which was very tasty. Using the B-My was also possible without any problems. However, some of the prices were a bit questionable, a 0.7 liter bottle of water for €8.50 is very steep, I didn't think it was good. There are some vegan options, I had one with smoky eggplant. The portion size was ok, the price of €16.90 was a bit steep. The taste was okay, but unfortunately it wasn't particularly tasty. Please don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but I missed the WOW effect. Everyone else enjoyed it for the most part, maybe I was just unlucky with my dish. A week before, I had the same dish in another restaurant and it was a real taste experience, which is probably why I was disappointed. There was also a schnapps on the house, that's how it should be. So a lot of things are being done right here, but there is still room for improvement.

Been here again for a few years and got a table for 9 people at short notice. The staff was very helpful and attentive. First there was papadum with delicious, homemade dips. Then I had lamb vindaloo, with very tender meat and a delicious, spicy sauce that could have been a bit hotter. Everyone else in our group also enjoyed it.

Our regular table for today was ordered at Swaad not far away. But shutters down – no reaction. Without further ado, we called Mera Marsala a few steps away… Yes, 8 people would still go. In the end there were 10 of us, chairs moved, tight but cozy. Because we share everything anyway, no problem with the crowd. Very attentive, fast staff, pretty Indian location, even with a tent-covered outdoor area. All dishes were delicious, 3 delicious homemade sauces for the papadam (fried flatbread made from urd bean flour). The mango lassi is also better than the previously known ones, Riesling is reasonable for €7.50 (can't remember which winemaker and where from). Good connection with public transport (even though they were on strike today), Mousonturm car park just a few steps further. At the exit there were the classic Indian spices as a digestive. Somehow perfect!

The ambience and service are great. But the food is really very Indian. If you like original, spicy Indian food, this is the place for you. A little too original for me :) but really tasty.

Unfortunately we weren't convinced. Since we ourselves have roots in the Indian subcontinent, we had high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was ok, but nothing special. It didn't seem completely fresh, the meat was a bit dry. Service was OK.

Leider wurden wir nach gut 90min "freundlich-offensiv" zum Aufbruch und Bezahlen gedrängt - obwohl der Tisch für 2 Stunden gebucht war (was wir auch erst vor Ort erfahren haben). Aber insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, vielleicht den Tisch erst für die 2. bzw. 3. Runde am Abend (open end) buchen.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including appetizers. Every dish really tasted unique. Connoisseurs of Indian cuisine explained to me that dishes from different regions are offered. In terms of spiciness it was ok for me, but I'm a bit used to it. It was very busy, of course if it tastes like that. Nevertheless the service was very good. (I actually forgot to take pictures 🤔🤣🤣) Gladly again.

I visited this place recently and was blown away by the authentic quality of food they served. I was pleasantly transported back to India for a while :) Everything they served, looked, smelled and tasted delicious. My 5 year old loved their homemade lemonade and we all relished the variety of Indian snacks and main course dishes that we ordered, our fav has to be Palak Paneer Can’t wait to visit again soon!

The Indian dishes were very tasty and the mango lassi was not only beautifully garnished but also super tasty. The service seemed strained and hectic. Of course the restaurant was packed, but there were actually enough service staff. At times you didn't feel completely welcome as a guest.
