Mera Masala - Indian Tandoori Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

Today we went to a restaurant with the B-my Frankfurt voucher. It was a complete disaster, because according to the voucher, they only allowed us to order one main course, and they wanted us to order a drink even though it wasn't included in the voucher! It's a total scam! You should stand by what you stand for. We specifically chose the restaurant so that we shouldn't order a drink. Some people aren't allowed to order anything with their meal, and that should be respected.

I would like to thank you very much for the wonderful culinary experience. The food was simply fantastic and really reminded me of my trip to India - authentic, tasteful and prepared with so much love. Every bite was a delight! However, I noticed that the staff seemed a little stressed that day, which was unfortunately reflected in a rather rushed atmosphere, hence a star deduction for service. Nevertheless, I would like to say a special thank you for the fact that my small request to charge my cell phone was so kindly responded to. That was very attentive and made my visit even easier so that I could then find my way home using Google Maps. All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to eating with you again soon.

Unfortunately, the value for money here isn't right. The food was okay – the "spicy" curry was very mild and average, and the chicken was quite dry. There was plenty of rice, and the garlic naan was very tasty. You can get better and much cheaper elsewhere. However, the prices are very high for a dish of this type, and neither the ambiance nor the service could compensate for the unspectacular food. I wouldn't recommend it.

Very nicely decorated place, friendly staff. The food however is very average. It looks good, but is very bland. Clearly everything has been adapted to the German palate and has therefore been rendered dull, flavourless and boring. Would recommend to those who have no experience with eating "exotic" food, but definitely not a place to come for a curry aficionado.

Very tasty Indian food at a good price. We ordered various curry dishes with rice and naan. All dishes had a very aromatic and unique flavor. I would recommend making a reservation in the evening if you're coming with three or more people. We'd be happy to come back. 😀🍛🫓

We came through a recommendation - and were thrilled. Service, atmosphere and especially the food were great. My personal highlight: Try the Thali plate! Delicious.

The service, the service was very good. The quality of the food was excellent. I can't say that they serve the tastiest biryani here, but if you want good Indian food, you can visit.

They even had my wife's review deleted and said it would damage my reputation. All I'm saying is that there is freedom of expression in Germany. This is our opinion.

Very nice atmosphere, cozy and high quality. We were guests here after a visit to the theater and were very impressed by the food and service. The menu not only offers the standard items that you can find everywhere, but also other dishes. So very varied. The service was friendly and accommodating. Definitely loved this place , the food was amazing ! And I was very impressed by how warm it was up to the point I decided to stop eating because the portion was also really big ! The staff was also very nice and the service was quick .

Das Essen war sehr gut! Service bzw das Personal sehr nett. Wir haben Vorspeisen und Hauptgericht bestellt! Die Vorspeisen kamen schnell, jedoch die Hauptgerichte kamen zuspät, so dass wir kein großartigen Hinger mehr hatten. Aber ansonsten war alles dennoch sehr schön! Würden gerne da nochmal essen gehen!

Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung mit zwei Einschränkungen: Bei einem Fischgericht war der Fisch nicht frisch und der Preis eines Glases Wein ist mit 9 EUR teuer.

I visited this restaurant with a friend, and we had the Butter Chicken Tikka Masala. The dish was delicious but overpriced , just I didn’t like that we were given just one portion of rice to share instead of separate servings. I also had the Mango Lillet drink, which was very enjoyable. We received a complimentary mango shot and some sauces before starting the meal, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was pleasant, but I found the service stuff is a bit too attentive. They hovered around, and as soon as we finished eating, they immediately cleared our plates, which I found slightly annoying. Overall, though, the experience was good.

Super delicious food. We were there in a larger group and it tasted great. The service was also very nice and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

I came by with my wife and my daughter The food was very bad. I'm sorry I should not say something that brutally honest, but the food was terrible. The only saving grace was the chicken lollipop for appetizers, and that was it. The main course memna curry was disgusting the tandoori platter the kebabs were a joke small bits I had to spit them out because they had a very bad stinxh in the meat. we left our main courses, completely untouched. The garlic naan was lukewarm. The service was unattended. They were very friendly to my daughter, but friendliness doesn't make up for the bad food, which was terrible. I'm sorry, but we will not be visiting again . we left our main course completely uneaten. I went directly to the bar and asked for the bill and they didn't even care to ask why we didn't finish our main course or was there anything they could do nothing so in point of customer service a big zero

We were here yesterday for the New Year's Eve menu. All we can say is: Never again! To a completely disorganized process (the courses came without regard to the order or progress of the guests and were slammed onto the table without comment. The food was, to say the least, rather mediocre and absolutely not appropriate for the price. You felt like you were in one Canteen with mass processing. If you want to enjoy really good Indian food, you should try the Pearl Garden in Bad Camberg.

Loved our experience here. We celebrated New Years Eve dinner at Mera Masala and it truly felt like it was New Years. They decorated the restaurant and made it look really pretty. The food was phenomenal. High quality and elevated Indian cuisine that transported us to their homeland. The service was on point too. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.

The best food I ever had in Frankfurt, the veg satvic thali is the most recommended item that you should try. All the vegetarian items are tasty and it’s proper authentic north indian..

Incredible, delicious, fresh food! I highly recommend the veggie thali - it’s amazing! The mango lassi is also exceptional. Wonderful service from friendly waiting staff, and speedily delivered to the table. You can also request heat adjustment depending on how hot you like your food. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a really nice late night snack-chai here on the weekend. We sat outside, it was warm despite the cold winds, the ambience was cozy. 🥰 Slurping a cup of chai which reminded me of home along with munching on some crispy samosas, street food style- Gobi Manchurian and pakodas...😍 Interesting conversations with the owner topped off our night! We're looking forward to our next visit!😇

Unfortunately I'm not satisfied at all. The chicken was super tough, the curry sauce didn't taste at all, it was like buying cheap chicken pieces and ready-made curry sauce in the supermarket and mixing them together. Only the rice was normal, as rice tastes like : ) I like to eat Indian food a lot but that was the most bland Indian food I've ever eaten. Actually it wasn't Indian food, but German with some kind of curry sauce. I didn't even like the mango lassi because it was so sweet that I could barely drink it.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant for the first time this evening. I had a wonderful eggplant and curry dish, my wife had a vegetarian rice dish, with delicious naan and finally a mango lassi. I would like to thank you for this lovely evening: from the food to the drinks to the service, everything was wonderful and flawless: I have rarely experienced such courteous service. I think charging €44 for a starter, a main course, a bottle of water and a portion of bread is pretty sporty. Not a blast in terms of taste!!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Indian restaurant Mera Masala as it had been recommended to me several times by my German colleagues in Frankfurt. I can say with certainty that it was a culinary experience in a class of its own! From the warm welcome to the delicious dishes - everything was just perfect. Let's start with the beautifully presented Mango Lassi. This refreshing drink was the perfect start to our dinner. The creamy consistency and the sweet mango note with the rose syrup were simply heavenly. For starters, we tried the Pani Puri as they looked very interesting at the table next to us and all I can say is: Wow! These small, crispy dough balls filled with potatoes with a spicy tamarind sauce and fresh herbs were a real treat. The taste was explosive and we were immediately impressed! Especially recommended on warm summer days. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Butter Chicken (a typical dish of Indian cuisine, but really nowhere better than here). Tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce - to die for! The spices were perfectly balanced and gave the dish a wonderful depth. It was served with freshly baked garlic naan, which was ideal for dipping in the sauce. We finished off with the rasmalai and I can only say that it was the perfect sweet ending. The curd balls in the aromatic milk were light yet incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented - an absolute must for any dessert lover! Overall, I can only highly recommend eating at Mera Masala. The combination of excellent food, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere makes this restaurant a real gem. I am already looking forward to my next visit to Frankfurt.

Very courteous friendly service. We were celebrating a birthday and a waiter thoughtfully brought a vase for a bouquet of flowers. The food is so good and the portions are reasonably sized. Sanitary facilities are well maintained.

Mega! We went back straight after a week because we liked it so much :) We had vegetarian starters and main courses (see pictures), which were very plentiful and deliciously seasoned. The plates are very lovingly designed! Even small extra requests were no problem. Very nice staff, short waiting times and plenty of outdoor seating, which is why it's nice, especially in summer. We'd love to come back!

The Mera Masala is located on Sandweg in Frankfurt, in the wonderful Bornheim district, near the popular Berger Straße. The location is excellent and easy to get to. For any fan of Indian cuisine, eating at Mera Masala is a true dream. If you need details and don't want to believe me, you can look at the Journal Frankfurt's "Frankfurt goes out" where it is ranked 4th. The restaurant is in no way inferior to other top restaurants and is a clear must. Mera Masala is not just a recommendation, but a call to visit this excellent Indian restaurant and see for yourself. From the authentic cuisine to the warm hospitality, Mera Masala offers an unforgettable dining experience.

Wie immer sehr lecker- allerdings war mein Gericht als scharf deklariert und es war überhaupt nicht scharf. Auf Nachfrage bekam ich dann scharfe Sauce und Chili. Das war ein bisschen schade!

Ich gehe wirklich sehr gerne indisch Essen, aber Mera Marsala war was Besonders. Das Essen war unter den Besten, das ich je gehabt habe. Es war lebendig, aber nicht so laut, dass man seinen Nachbarn anschreien musste. Alles in einem, ein sehr schöner Abend mit sehr gutem Essen. Das mag das erste Mal sein, aber wird auf keinen Fall das Letzte.
