Everything was high quality. The nature is magnificent, the room is newly renovated, warm and clean. The bed and towels are fresh. Breakfast is sufficient and there is hot food. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend for a holiday.
I HIGHLY recommend it. The best restaurant I've ever seen. Beautiful atmosphere, the food was great, and the waitress was super friendly and just great 🫶😍
Such a beautiful restaurant with a great backdrop of the monastery church. The prices are high but absolutely justified. Our son (2.5 years old) had a children's schnitzel that was like an adult portion!! A compliment to the kitchen😊
Restaurant Waldesruh – A culinary insider tip
Through a recommendation we came to the Waldesruh restaurant, which we would probably never have discovered otherwise - and what luck! My meal, a perfectly cooked steak with asparagus, was a real treat. We were impressed by the quality of the food and the attention to detail.
The service was friendly, despite the visible hustle and bustle. A small criticism was the organization: it took two orders to get water. Other than that, the experience exceeded all expectations.
An important note: reservation is essential, especially on weekends. Without pre-ordering it is almost impossible to get a spot. Of course, this also speaks for the popularity of the restaurant.
Overall, we can warmly recommend the Waldesruh restaurant. A place that impresses with quality, taste and atmosphere.
I never really write reviews here, but I was really impressed with this store! Service couldn't be better, the food was super tasty (we had vegan burgers with sweet potatoes and regular fries - one of the best vegan burgers I've ever eaten), the prices were really more than fair and the shop also had a great atmosphere! 10/10
An all-around fantastic experience!!! Very, very friendly staff, very courteous and attentive. The food was really, really good. The culinary highlight of the north.
It was a special Italian meal. Thank you all.
We were at the Istanbul Bistro around 5:30 p.m. today. My husband, our daughter and I. We wanted 2 half chickens (quite expensive at €6 per half). We were told that it would take about 15 minutes and whether we would like tea or coffee while we waited. There was a green artificial "apple tea". The 2 half chickens each came with a dollop of spiced ketchup. The hammer was yet to come. The 2 small chicken halves came instead of 12€, 15€..1€ for the ketchup and 2€ for the artificial green tea, which we didn't even want!! We thought it was a nice gesture because of the long wait!! We used to come here more often. Well, that's a great way to scare away customers! Now the store has earned €3 more but we will never buy anything there again!! In the past we left quite a lot of money there, now someone else gets it!! This is a good way to get rid of customers!!
A very beautifully decorated restaurant. The service is very friendly and also very fast. There is also a changing monthly menu. The food is delicious, and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Kochzimmer in Potsdam was one of the last Michelin Star Restsurants we hadn‘t visited yet in and around Berlin. However, the overdue dinner yesterday left us with mixed feelings. First the good stuff. The cooking is technically outstanding. Service at the table is good. Price / Quality is also excellent. 5 course, incl. wine for 155 EUR pp.
What wasn‘t up to expected standard: When entering, you pass through a narrow corridor that smells quite intensively of the kitchen. Not the best way to start a cullinary experience. Smell should be neutral or at least pleasant.
The dishes themselves, as said technically impeccable, lacked a bit of splendour.
Lastly, I would recommed to put some artwork on the walls and work with spot lighting. The decor feels a tad chilly. Perhaps a puristic approach is intentional but I think that a warmer approach would be helpful for this restaurant in its classic setting.
