I was only at the hotel for a one-day seminar. If you're looking for peace and nature, this is the place for you. The area is breathtaking.

Great location on the lake. Easy check-in, even in the evening or at night, using a code. Excellent breakfast on the terrace or in the main house. The location is unique, nestled in the forest by the lake, offering a variety of recreational activities: swimming, kayaking, biking, hiking, boating... We'd love to come back to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature!

We had a wonderful weekend and were completely satisfied. A fantastic place to enjoy nature undisturbed. Friendly people, good food, and comfortable beds made our stay perfect. Of course, this isn't a luxury resort in Dubai—but that's precisely what makes this hotel so charming and idyllic.

We arrived in a small boat and were able to moor easily at the jetty. The jetty is quite small; two smaller boats (approx. 7m) have enough space; larger boats might have difficulty docking. We stayed in a suite with a wonderful view. At night, however, we had to close all the blackout curtains because the entire property is illuminated by bright daylight. It's a shame, because the view of the lake with the moon is actually really beautiful, and as city dwellers, we wish there was less light pollution in nature. The suite was very clean and had everything we needed. The huge duvet for two on the very comfortable bed looks nice, but the sleeping comfort isn't for everyone. There's a small, cozy sauna on the property that's rented out exclusively. I wish it had been stated on the website what the additional cost was and that reservations are recommended if possible. The restaurant menu was manageable. We were there on a sunny weekend; the hotel was full, and both the drink and the dish I wanted to order were sold out. What was left was very tasty. We arrived at breakfast half an hour before closing time, and the buffet was already completely empty, and unfortunately, there wasn't much left. I found that a bit disappointing for the price, especially since breakfast is only served until 10 a.m. The staff were very helpful and really nice and friendly. All in all, it's a really nice place, worth a visit, and on nice weekends, you should reserve both an outside table and the sauna in advance.

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic landscape, secluded, and absolutely peaceful. The lake for swimming is right on the doorstep! The hotel team is very friendly and fulfills every wish. The restaurant menu is comprehensive, the food is delicious, and the breakfast leaves little to be desired. The standard double room was large, with a bathroom with a window, a very comfortable bed, and everything was very clean. If you're looking for peace and quiet and minimal distractions, this is the place for you!

A place very far from the world... But if you like nature and peace, you won't find anything better... Friendly staff, access to the lake, and very spacious grounds... It was apparently a "rest home" for Krenz and Honecker during the GDR era... I found it very special... With very nice people at the reception...

The location is stunning, the ambiance very well-kept and pleasant. We went there for lunch and enjoyed exceptionally good cuisine. The menu was small, but the selection offered something for everyone. The food was freshly prepared, lovingly presented, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. We tried a variety of dishes and were all delighted. An absolute recommendation for a lovely meal in a beautiful atmosphere with friendly people.

A beautiful and romantic hotel. Unfortunately, it's run by mediocre management. We booked a room months ago and were simply checked out the day before without any notice. This is detrimental to the entire hotel and is extremely poor service.

The complex is a very special spot right on the lake, surrounded by forest and far from the hustle and bustle. I've been there several times (in the summer) and really enjoyed it. You can swim, rent a boat or bike, or simply start a hike from the hotel. The rooms/suites are clean and pretty. You can also relax in the park-like grounds, sit on the jetty, or enjoy a coffee in the outdoor dining area overlooking the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and open to special requests. I highly recommend the Waldhaus and will definitely be back.

Nice location, good restaurant!

No, not recommended. The rooms aren't in the building they claim to be, but are scattered throughout the hotel within walking distance. Dinner was only served after persistent protest, as it was only available by reservation. Reception is closed after 3 p.m., so no help is available since the TV doesn't work. A disappointment for a 3-star superior hotel.

A dream of peace, nature, and culinary delights! The suite was super spacious, very modern, and clean. On the terrace, you could relax and listen to the birdsong. The entire staff was attentive and very friendly. The food tasted excellent, was beautifully presented, and served in a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the Waldhaus!

Everything was high quality. The nature is magnificent, the room is newly renovated, warm and clean. The bed and towels are fresh. Breakfast is sufficient and there is hot food. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend for a holiday.

We celebrated our wedding at the Hotel Waldhaus Prieros. I would like to leave a review for anyone who wants to get married. The location by the lake is incredibly beautiful for a free wedding ceremony. It is also in a great location as wedding guests can stay overnight directly on the premises. The service staff on the wedding day was attentive and supported us well. The preparations were sometimes a little more difficult because there was no longer an event planner. Things got mixed up every now and then. But if you as the bride and groom took care of things and “stuck with it” everything actually worked out. Since we took care of all the decoration ourselves, everything went smoothly. We were often accommodated, for example by allowing our guests into the rooms earlier and giving us plenty of time to decorate. Now to the rather negative side: we found the prices for the food very overpriced. The midnight snack in the form of a cheese platter cost around €9 per guest and we weren't even packed with the leftovers. Even the dinner was simply far too expensive for the quality for the price we paid per guest. The guests were actually largely satisfied with the rooms if they were accommodated in the more modern rooms. The newly renovated bungalows were very nice. All in all, the wedding day still went very well for us and we would definitely get married there again. The location was simply amazing.

Went there two years ago with friends and were very happy with the food and service. Were there again in July this year and are very disappointed been. An overpriced selection of food. You're happy to pay a little more for a good meal, but when the cheapest meal is herring fillet (€19 and a bit) and it only goes up to €29 or €36, we decided on a seasoned meat. The only thing that was warm was the cheese, the rest was cold. No napkin, no lemon squeezer. It could have been the last time we were there.

If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet on holiday, this is the right place for you. We had 1 Rooms in the old building, which are not particularly charming. The service staff is very friendly, the main building is very inviting and is beautifully located by the lake. If we book again, we would take a room in the new bungalow.

Were just here for coffee, which is completely enough. Prices are way too high for coffee at €5.20 ☹️

We were there three years ago and you could still eat there. Today the prices are beyond good and bad....unfortunately... A latte macchiato €5.20, it doesn't cost that much even on the Baltic Sea 👽 A scoop of ice cream - supermarket quality €2.50.... That was our last visit for now 🙁

Restaurant is in a fantastic location on the water. Hotel rooms are a little further away but completely fine and well cared for. Hostess extremely friendly and helpful

We stopped by the restaurant for food and drinks during a paddling tour in the early afternoon. Because of the bad reviews, we were a little skeptical in advance. But everything was fine. We had a very friendly and attentive Ukrainian waitress (who spoke German very well). Beer was tasty. From the weekly menu I had the baked potato with smoked fish cream, herring and a herb salad. It was very lovingly and attractively prepared. It also tasted excellent. It was a pleasant visit.

We only stayed one night, luckily. The facility is very old and has lost its flair. Room in the middle of the forest, terrace is actually the forest. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Price/performance doesn't fit Breakfast was more than poor, something like that is very rare. The only plus point was the friendly (rare) staff,

An absolute gem, far away from roads and tourism, this hotel is located directly on the lake and the accommodations are right in the forest, total peace, freedom, nature. Breakfast is a little shattered at 9:30 a.m. but of course you'll be full. The only small drawback was that the first program didn't work for the European Championship final. I'd be happy to come back!

A hotel/house on the site looks like it hasn't been renovated for over 40 years. The rooms in this house look accordingly. It smells like a basement combined with cheap room fragrance (which is supposed to cover up the musty smell in the rooms. Terrible!

Price performance was top. I find it strange that it was cheaper through a third party than through the hotel directly. The location is very nice and quiet. The way there should be revised. The hotel itself is several buildings. In bad weather you can get wet on the way to breakfast. The breakfast was rather simple and economical. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was relatively large with a refrigerator and television. I was able to park for free in front of the building where our room was. There is forest and nature all around and it is located directly on a lake. Canoes and rowing boats can be rented directly. The location is central and many things can be reached within a short drive. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good but also expensive. The menu has very little choice.

We were given a voucher for breakfast for 5 people. Arrived with 4 people, i.e. 2 adults and 2 children and had to pay a whopping €25 extra. The reason the voucher was only for 56 euros and the breakfast for two adults and two children cost 75 euros !!!!! Even after repeated inquiries, the opinion remained that our two children would have to pay a total of €37 for their scrambled eggs and cold cocoa. Apart from the fact that the voucher was sold for breakfast for five people and it is absurd that you now have to pay €25 for four people, I am still speechless that two children eat scrambled eggs and cold cocoa. should seriously pay €18.50 each for this. We adults had to ask for a cappuccino, as no milk was served with the coffee. There was no salmon or any other fish at breakfast. Overall, the whole buffet was more or less a joke and only consisted of eggs, a bit of sausage and cheese. Conclusion: never again Waldhaus. Service poor, value for money incredibly poor. This way you scare away customers and ensure that their friends don't come by anymore either. Absolutely incomprehensible to me. Since I have to give this bad rating for the last dinner there, that was it for us with the Waldhaus.

Beautiful facility, staff are literally worn out there since the new "management" has been running the facility. You get the impression that the "boss" is your best customer and you can only feel sorry for the employees

The place wasn't bad, but I wouldn't want to vacation there. We only went there to dine.

You take two freshly caught herring fillets from the can and a large spoonful of home-made sauce from the bin and fried potatoes from the bag... and lo and behold, you're on the hook for 20.60 euros. PETRI HAIL!!

Tolle Umgebung, läd eigentlich ein zum verweilen. Schade das die Bedienung sehr schlecht geschult ist, keine Lust hatte oder was auch immer. Kommt an den Tisch ohne ein Wort zu sagen und räumt ab, das Glas Bier hat gerochen wie ein alter Lappen , das Schnitzel meiner Begleitung war sein Geld nicht wert. Sehr schade , die Liebe zum Beruf fehlt leider.

Wir hatten eine grössere Familienfeier im Restaurant und Hotel. Es ist ein wunderschöner Ort, malerisch am See gelegen. Hätte perfekt werden können, wenn der Service nicht so schlecht gewesen wäre. Zu wenig, vielleicht deshalb überfordertes Personal, viel zu oft unfreundlich. Schade, dass hier diesmal Anspruch und Leistung so gar nicht zusammen gepasst haben.

Wir haben das Waldhaus nur besucht. Mittagstisch gab es nicht. Die Lage ist sehr schön.

Waren jetzt 2 x zum Essen dort. Schneller freundlicher Service, lecker Schnitzel und Fisch. Geniale Aussicht von der Terrasse über den See. Freundliches Personal. Anschließender Spaziergang durch den angrenzenden Wald, sehr entspannend. Danach noch ein Eis auf der Seeterrasse. Einfach schön dort.

Wer seine gestresste Seele mal so richtig baumeln lassen möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Die Idylle, die Ruhe, der Historische Hintergrund dieser Einrichtung, sind einzigartig und wirklich noch ein Geheimtipp. Am hauseigenen Strand, kann man in den Tiefer See eintauchen und sich danach gastronomisch verwöhnen lassen. Das Essen ist gut, der Service ist bestens. Der Charme in dieser Einrichtung, ist besonders für Nostalgiker beeindruckend. Die Möglichkeit zur Übernachtung, sollte man nutzen, da die einzelnen, unterschiedlichen Gebäude dazu einladen. Sie sind besonders für Familien geeignet, da es u.a. feste Bungalows gibt, in dem 4 Familien in einem Bungalow übernachten können, die sich bei Bedarf im großen Vorraum des Bungalows, zusammen finden können. Die im Wald eingebettete Anlage, läd zum Wandern ein, in den naturbelassenen, angrenzenden Prieroser Wald. Alles in allem, wer die Ruhe sucht, der wird sie hier finden.

Also, ich kann nicht verstehen, wie hier die Leute die Zuwegung und den kleinen Strand kritisieren. Es ist eine super idyllische Hotelanlage inmitten uriger Natur. Selbst die alte Pflasterstraße auf dem Gelände hat Unmengen an Charme. Der Strand ist Naturbelassen, das Haus ist per Boot, sowie mit dem Auto erreichbar, die Küche ist ausgezeichnet, und auch der Service im Restaurant erhält von mir glatte 5 Sterne. Wir sind immer wieder gern hier zu Gast.

Für mich wäre der Weg bis dahin zu beschwerlich. Die Kopfsteinpflaster als Straße machen dieses auch nicht besser. Der kleine Mini Strand lädt nicht gerade zum verweilen ein. Sehr Schade. Dies ist sehr Ausbaufähig.

Ein schönes altes Gebäude. Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer mit gehobenen Ambiente. Selbst der Weg durch den Wald zum Haupthaus ist herrlich. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse am See ist erholsam. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Preis Leistung sollte man noch mal überdenken. Zimmer klein Dunkel und die Innenverdunklung fällt einfach runter Zimmer muß man suchen weil Empang um 18 uhr nicht mehr besetzt. Lage ist Top wenn das Wetter mitspielt Matratze ist noch kleiner als das Bett und dann der Preis. Die Aussicht wäre super wenn das Zimmer hell und zum See wäre

Dieser Ort ist außergewöhnlich schön. Naturnah und an einem See in einem Wald. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich gut und die Preise eher hoch. Der Service (Stammpersonal) ist freundlich und entspannt. Gerade im Sommer ist dieser Ort ein Traum.

Restaurant der mittleren bis oberen Klasse. Auf dem Landweg etwas schwer zu finden, aber wenn man da ist, merkt man, wie sehr sich der Weg gelohnt hat. Super Essensqualität. Vom Wasser - direkt am Streganzer See (Dahme-Wasserstrasse). Gute Steganlage.

Bei sonnigem Wetter gibt es keinen schöneren Platz als hier vor dem ehemaligen Feriensitz Wilhelm Piecks am Streganzer See zu sitzen. Je nach Nachfrage gibt es sonntags entweder Brunch oder a la Carte Angebot. Beim Brunch gibt es Sekt, Suppe, Frühstücksauswahl, drei bis vier Hauptspeisen, diverse Süßspeisen und Kuchen. Alles gut schmeckend, bodenständig ohne Chi-chi. Von der Karte hatte wir zuletzt Pfifferlinge. Die Preise sind sehr zivil.

Das Restaurant gehört zum Hotel Walshaus Prieros und liegt idyllisch am Streganzer See. Die Speisen ( sowohl das 3 - Gänge Menü im Rahmen des gebuchten Arrangements als auch das Frühstücksbuffet ) waren frisch und lecker zubereitet. Kleine Extrawünsche waren auch kein Problem und die Bedienung war durchweg sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ein Highlight ist auch die Terrasse mit Blick auf den See.
