We had done some research beforehand, and so we made a reservation. When we arrived, we were totally surprised by the wonderful restaurant. Quaint and tastefully decorated. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was simply fantastic. That's how I imagine a successful evening 🤩 Thank you for the wonderful culinary experience 💕

My wife and I went to the Up Hus restaurant for a special meal: our 15th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. The peppered pork steak and lamb shank were delicious. The rustic ambiance and friendly service rounded off our visit perfectly.

From the moment you enter the restaurant, you feel welcome – the staff is attentive, friendly, and always on hand, without being intrusive. The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. I would particularly like to emphasize the freshness of the ingredients and the loving presentation of the dishes – the food here is cooked with passion. The drinks selection is also excellent and perfectly rounds off the experience. The ambiance is cozy and stylish at the same time, allowing you to chat in peace and enjoy the evening. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for the quality offered. I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

As German as sauerkraut. This place has a terrific vibe and wonderful service. Mostly, the food stands up to my exacting standards. The lamb shank is really well put together, though fresh beans would be a plus. The carp is ok, but this wonderful oily fish is better not with fried potatoes. The rote gruze is decent, but heavy on a very sweet syrup, light on berries, and the german toast is very yum, though again better without the fake chocolate syrup. The side salad is absolutely spot on. All in all a good spot to eat the home teams cookery.

We spontaneously stopped by Up-Hus today. A quick call and the table was reserved. Great! We were extremely satisfied! The ambiance in the backyard, with the beautiful apple tree under which you sat, created a lovely atmosphere. The service was super friendly and tried very hard to make you happy... the food was fantastic (for us)!!! The solyanka was superb, the chanterelle soup was simply delicious. The main course was lamb schnitzel and venison goulash, simply superbly prepared and looked very attractive on the plate... highly recommended...! And we will, too.🤗

We stopped by Up-Hus for dinner this summer without an appointment. The waitress went to great lengths to get us a table outside, and it worked out. The food is home-style and of good quality—we had Wiener Schnitzel. Overall, it was a pleasant evening; the restaurant certainly deserves its rating.

We came here for dinner. The dishes were all freshly prepared, and there were no fries as standard fare in the kids' menu, which we liked. Good, down-to-earth food. However, the prices are quite high for what's offered.

Update 7/31/25: Got a very well-made salad with salmon and chanterelles. €18.50 and a great omelet with chanterelles (€22.50) and a 300g portion of chanterelles (€23.50)! All absolutely top-notch! Service a bit "rustic." Drinks (e.g., espresso for €3.00) and dishes still quite ambitious (for Brandenburg)! Visit 2024: The veal schnitzel for €26.50 was large and satisfying. The meat was okay, the breading fell off, which doesn't happen with proper preparation. The fried potatoes were well-conceived, but still a bit far from "fried." The service was "labored." The ambiance - although showing its age - was quite nice. The wine list wasn't compiled by a professional. All prices were quite high by Neuruppin standards.

The easy reservation process is quite convenient. The dishes (four dishes) were well to very well prepared, and the portions were very large. The fried potatoes were acceptable in taste but soft to leathery in texture. The trout was very good. The ambiance at the edge of the hotel parking lot was nicely decorated with flowerpots, but it felt more like a depot. Definitely recommended for those who appreciate large portions.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and overall had a very pleasant experience. We started with a small side salad, which impressed with its freshness and balanced seasoning – a successful start. For an aperitif, we opted for two shandys. Unfortunately, they weren't quite a balanced mix: the beer content was significantly too high, which meant the refreshing flavor of the lemonade was barely noticeable. The taste is certainly subjective, but not ideal for us. The main courses, however, were completely convincing. The pork pepper steak was tender, juicy, and excellently seasoned. It was served with crispy fried potatoes and lightly caramelized baby carrots – a harmonious and all-around successful dish. The Zippelsförder rainbow trout with boiled potatoes and a small salad was also a hit: the fish fillet was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the side dishes complemented the plate harmoniously. Overall, a very good restaurant with impressive cuisine. We would be happy to come back – but with a different selection of drinks on our next visit.

I spontaneously stopped by Uphus for lunch with my young daughter. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a nice table. The server was very friendly and accommodating, and we immediately felt at home. Ordering was quick and easy. I would especially like to praise the Uphus team for creating a meal of my daughter's choice, which wasn't on the menu. The portions were just right, and the food was beautifully presented. For example: solyanka in a beautiful glass jar with a lid! The food was well-seasoned and flavorful! All in all, a great lunch, which was truly relaxing in the rustic ambiance of Uphus. We'd be happy to go again!

Such a lovely restaurant with a stunning view of the monastery church. The prices are high, but absolutely justified. Our son (2.5 years old) had a children's schnitzel that tasted like an adult's portion! A compliment to the kitchen.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The small salad before the main course was nice, but fried onions with the raspberry vinaigrette from the package - unfortunately that's not possible. The mashed potatoes for the main course were only lukewarm, the chicken breast had a bone and very fatty, limp skin. The beans seemed to come from a can and the onions that came with them were just translucent and landed on the plate in large pieces. But the atmosphere is definitely cozy and rustic, the wine is ok and the service is attentive.

Yesterday we went to the Up-Hus restaurant for the first time. The positive reviews and the relatively small menu promised an evening in a cozy atmosphere with delicious food. The first impression upon entering the restaurant was fine and in keeping with the oldest half-timbered house in the city. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. There were no long waiting times. But now to the important thing, the food. Beforehand there was a seasoned veal meat, which is a very positive thing because cheaper meat is often used for this. The taste was very good, as I expected. For the main course I ordered the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and green beans. I was very disappointed when I was served the fat-dripping, pale schnitzel. The beans were neither fresh nor frozen, but obviously from a can. There were also fried potatoes, which were also very fatty. Almost all of the ingredients, such as bacon cubes, onions and spring onions, were badly burned and left a bitter aftertaste. Each dish comes with a small side salad consisting of leaf lettuce, a halved cherry tomato, peppers and a raspberry vinaigrette. So far ok but who the hell would come up with the idea of ​​sprinkling the whole thing with fried onions?? Overall, very unfortunate and disappointing. This makes you wonder where the positive reviews come from. The promised quality is far from being able to keep up with this.

Our dog had enough space under the table. The restaurant is very cozy thanks to the small bays for seating. The service was really nice and quick! The restaurant is located on the area of ​​the infirmary. The site can only be accessed via two entrances. The restaurant itself is located in Ruppin's oldest surviving house. The guest room is divided into many small seating groups and is cozy. The food is good and plentiful. Gladly again, ask in advance if there is still space.

The start was the side salad in advance, with uncreative and inappropriate fried onions (ready-fried onions) - homemade croutons on hand-cut leaf lettuce would be a better choice here. Main course “lamb shank” was good, especially the sauce. Potatoes as a side dish were also ready-made potatoes, which the dish didn't deserve. The edge of the plate decorated with dry spices is a bit 80s and devalues ​​rather than enhances. All in all, a great ambience, average nice service, a bit overpriced and little to no alternatives in terms of price.

The SOLJANKA we ordered (€8.50) came in a mason jar, was clearly oversalted and was missing both the usual spoonful of crème fraîche and a slice of lemon. The whole thing was accompanied by two sad, sticky slices of baguette...the companion's trout (24, 50 €) was still raw inside and went back for baking. A rather frightening experience, unfortunately.

And the kitchen is absolutely recommended. Many products from the region. Tip: Order a “Boltenmühler Hexenfeuer” at the end - but not if you still have to drive ;-)

After the restaurant was mentioned in several Brandenburg crime novels, we really wanted to try it out. By chance we went there for dinner this afternoon. Very cozy atmosphere in an old half-timbered house. We were served very friendly, by the boss himself. The food was excellent (venison roulade and wild goulash). Not exactly cheap, but definitely worth the price! Absolutely recommended!

Starters did not come with the main courses, but before them - a circumstance that is no longer a given. Be sure to try Vitello Tonnato! That's how it has to be! Great location on the Ryck with a view of the water, also outside seating. Well-filled restaurant, reasonable prices. Unfortunately a bit noisy due to the large windows.

At the beginning of autumn we sat outside in the courtyard between the hotel and the restaurant, which was beautifully decorated with flower borders, at one of the 10 to 12 tables. The waiter was very attentive, saw us and, after greeting us in a friendly manner, handed us the food and drink menus. After two minutes our drink requests were already taken. We then ordered an omelette and a Viennese (veal) schnitzel, each with fried potatoes: very tasty and really very well prepared. We will definitely come here again on our next visit to Neuruppin.
