Restaurant Up-Hus in Neuruppin

After the restaurant was mentioned in several Brandenburg crime novels, we really wanted to try it out. By chance we went there for dinner this afternoon. Very cozy atmosphere in an old half-timbered house. We were served very friendly, by the boss himself. The food was excellent (venison roulade and wild goulash). Not exactly cheap, but definitely worth the price! Absolutely recommended!

There were two of us for dinner. The ambience is very nice. We felt very comfortable. The service was very nice and accommodating. The food was super tasty. It was a very nice evening for us. If we are in Neuruppin again, we would like to come back.

Best Italian cuisine. No one in our larger group was dissatisfied with their meal. Service quick, as it should be. Starters did not come with the main courses, but before them - a circumstance that is no longer a given. Be sure to try Vitello Tonnato! That's how it has to be! Great location on the Ryck with a view of the water, also outside seating. Well-filled restaurant, reasonable prices. Unfortunately a bit noisy due to the large windows.

Very nice quaint restaurant. Food very good quality. Game roulade and duck were tried. Next time we will try the fillet steak.

At the beginning of autumn we sat outside in the courtyard between the hotel and the restaurant, which was beautifully decorated with flower borders, at one of the 10 to 12 tables. The waiter was very attentive, saw us and, after greeting us in a friendly manner, handed us the food and drink menus. After two minutes our drink requests were already taken. We then ordered an omelette and a Viennese (veal) schnitzel, each with fried potatoes: very tasty and really very well prepared. We will definitely come here again on our next visit to Neuruppin. Thank you for the very hospitable hospitality and the very good food.

If you want to eat good home-style food in Neuruppin and experience one of the most beautiful beer gardens, you can't ignore UpHus. All in all great and 100% recommended.

It's nice to sit in the green, in the backyard in front of the half-timbered house. Really great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us. Overall, there was a lack of spice in the form of spices or the bite of vegetables and chanterelles. We found the prices too high for the quality delivered. Too bad

We were there today at 5:00 p.m. and asked for a table for two people. The restaurant was 30% occupied outside and no one was present inside. We were turned away because there was no room for us.

We chose the schnitzel with chanterelles and the steak au four and ate very well. Mega portions. The meat on point. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The garden is very well maintained and a dream! We will be back!

We've had our sights set on this restaurant for a while and now we've made it. We spontaneously stopped there in connection with a bike tour and we were not disappointed. Even though all tables were reserved, we got a table. However, with the note that we only have about an hour now. That wasn't a problem for us at all. The service was very pleasant, nice and friendly, just as you would expect. The food was very tasty. We will definitely come back but with a reservation :)

It's lovely to sit in the courtyard. The service is very friendly. The food is excellent (we both had the game goulash and were very satisfied). The only drawback: the portions could be a bit larger for the price. A third dumpling wouldn't have hurt.

Unfortunately, I didn't go to the restaurant here on the day of my visit to Neuruppin came in for a private event. So 1.5 hours of travel time for free. And I wasn't the only one. Many people are also the other way around. I actually don't want to give a bad review because I've had excellent food here before. It would have been very desirable if you had updated your website promptly, so I would have seen that too... nothing good today 😄.

Pretty location with a cozy courtyard. The service was attentive and nice. Unfortunately, the food was extremely bad, a mushy mess that was probably just heated in the microwave (extremely hot spots in the mess). Since my companion did not consider the price/performance ratio of the food to be balanced and we also heard criticism from the neighboring table, I would not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately we were not asked about our satisfaction, otherwise I would have made the criticism directly.

I can highly recommend the Up-Hus restaurant. The food tasted wonderful and was of very good quality. I ate outside and the inner courtyard had a really idyllic atmosphere. I would particularly like to highlight the service. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I haven't experienced such nice waiters in a long time, really top notch!!!

The veal schnitzel for an ambitious €26.50 was large and satisfying. The meat was ok, the breading fell off, which doesn't happen when prepared correctly. The fried potatoes were well thought out, but still a bit away from “fried”. The service was “effortless”. The - outdated - ambience is quite nice. The wine list was not put together by a professional. All prices are quite high for Neuruppin standards.

Had a good meal in a lovely atmosphere on Easter Monday.

We were there on April 1st. at 1 p.m. with 4 adults and 2 children there. The food was very good, especially the ox cheeks. When we reordered a bottle of Gingerale, we were told that unfortunately we no longer had any glasses. I thought it was an April Fool's joke. No, that wasn't the case. The staff is unable to rinse a glass. It's a shame, that's never happened to me before. Hence the point deduction

"somewhat high expectations for the book"... I was hoping for a lot more! After the "so good" reviews we went here for dinner. The service is down-to-earth, friendly, attentive. But the food?! ... The chef who gave us the “so good” reviews was unfortunately not present during our visit. Fried potatoes (that was everything else but that), there was plenty of salt and the vegetables? I'm still scared. Most housewives (that I know) can do this much better. The dinner on the occasion of my mother's birthday will definitely remain in our memories! The salad remains positive to note... fresh, well cut... good. For me, who likes to eat very well and a lot, it wasn't convincing that evening!

The food is delicious. The Rösti with salmon as a starter is highly recommended and the main courses are also great. We were offered 3 more types of vegetables as a side dish instead of the vegetables on the menu. There is a lot to choose from, but not too much that you can't decide. Unfortunately there isn't much choice for vegetarians. Service is very accommodating. We'd love to come back! The atmosphere is very nice, almost rustic. It is recommended to reserve a table as there is not much space.

The Up-Hus is in the oldest house in Neuruppin. That's why it's smaller there. How houses were built in the past. The service was nice, quick. The cuisine is German, the fish comes from the Ruppiner waters. A small menu showing what is fresh and home-cooked. The salad dressing was very tasty. If you want to eat there: very important - book a table in advance. Otherwise it won't work

A simple but totally exquisite menu with local dishes served with joy. The service staff was really friendly and totally dedicated, they are happy to help you and make your time there special. Location is very particular with a familiar atmosphere, nice decorated and very original. Recommended: Mashed sweet potato with mushroom ragout as veggie option (5 Stars) and Schnitzel with potatoes (4.5 Stars). A simple but exquisite menu with local dishes served with joy. The staff was very friendly and very committed. They are happy to help so that customers can enjoy a special time. The place is fantastic, with a family atmosphere, beautifully and discreetly decorated, very original. Recommendation: Schnitzel for meat eaters (4.5 stars) and sweet potato puree with mushroom ragout for veggies (5 stars)

Opulent food. The meat was so tender that you didn't need a knife. Salad with homemade dressing is simply delicious. Ambience really great. You can't look at someone else's plate. Very nice service. We will be back.

Short review: Very cozy in the old beams, very friendly service and the food is good. For the meal I can rate the steak au four with seasoned meat, not super tender but great in taste. The atmosphere in the old half-timbered building is very pleasant, a bit convoluted and therefore not loud.

Nettes, historisches aber etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Ambiente. Bedienung und Speisen nur durchnittlich. Speisen sehr "deftig", ohne Pfiff und nicht schön angerichtet. Schade. Aber der Vorspeisensalat war mal anders als sonst so üblich und lecker.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen- köstliche Speisen

Wir haben uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut, leider ging dieser mächtig in die Hose. Wir bestellten Roulade und Gans, nach einer Dreiviertelstunde des Wartens haben wir mal nachgefragt, wann denn das Essen käme. (Im Restaurant waren 6 Gäste...) Wir hatten das Gefühl, man hat uns vergessen, allerdings gab es weder eine Aufklärung noch ein Wort der Entschuldigung oder ähnliches. Nach fast 1 Stunde kam das Essen, leider waren diverse Zutaten wie das Gemüse verkocht, die Gans zu weich, die Haut ganz labberig. Auf Nachfrage der Kellnerin,ob es denn schmecke, sagten wir dies, ohne einen Kommentar rauschte sie ab und ward nicht mehr gesehen. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen, das Ambiente ist zwar sehr hübsch ,aber wenn der Rest nicht stimmt, ist das ein Problem.

Ein supergemütliches Lokal in der Nähe der Neuruppiner Klosterkirche, und eines der wenigen in der Gegend, die auch in der ungemütlichen Jahreszeit einen Mittagstisch anbieten... In dem alten Fachwerkgebäude hatten wir einen Tisch in einer sehr netten abgeteilten Nische, wunderbar für ein nettes Essen zu zweit. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich bedient, und das Hirschgulasch und die Ochsenbäckchen waren vorzüglich. Nur für die Kartoffeln muss ich leider einen Minuspunkt vergeben. Das klappt in der Saison, wenn mehr Gäste da sind, sicher besser. Wir waren zum ersten, aber ganz sicher nicht zum letzten Mal dort.

Waren am 3.11.23 spontan zum Abendessen. Unsere Wahl fiel auf Maishähnchenbrust und Ziegenkäsetaler. Unheimlich lecker und hübsch angerichtet. Dazu freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Rustikales Ambiente mit moderner Speisekarte. Danke für den tollen Abend

Gemütliches kleines Restaurant. Einfach zim wohl fühlen.

Wir waren heute spontan hier essen und sind hellauf begeistert. Das Ambiente ist urig sowie gemütlich und unser Kellner sehr herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war eine Wucht! Das Kalbsschnitzel super zart und die Panade knusprig, die Bratkartoffeln wie sie sein sollen und die Wildroulade so samt schmelzend, dass es ein Traum war sie zu essen. Ach, und auch die Kürbissuppe schmeckte wunderbar und hatte eine leichte Schärfe, so dass auch diese eine wahre Genussexplosion verursachte. Fazit: Eine klare Empfehlung!

Das ist ein herausragendes Restaurant, sehr netter Inhaber und vor allem es schmeckt SUPER. Und ich habe hohe Erwartung, die sich hier total erfüllt haben. Bestimmt bald wieder.

Es sollte ein kurzer Stop in Neuruppin werden. Es wurde ein kulinarisches Highlight. Ich hatte das Süßkartoffelpüree mit Pilzragout. Hui. Meine Frau hatte das Wildgulasch. Abgerundet wurde unser Essen mit einem Spätburgunder. Hervorragend...Vielen Dank für dieses wunderbare Essen .

Sehr leckeres Essen, Portion reicht locker, Rotkohl nicht aus dem Glas, sehr lecker. Schön gemütlich. Kleine aber feine Speisekarte. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen. Falls die Sauce nicht reicht, es wird Sauce nachgereicht ;-))) Gerne wieder.

Urig, lecker, deftig - das beschreibt das Restaurant Up-Hus ziemlich treffend. Highlight ist sicher das urig-schöne Fachwerkhaus, das stellenweise so eng und tief im Innern ist, dass man gut Acht geben muss. Authentisch ist das aber auf jeden Fall. Die Speisen sind gut-bürgerlich, von guter Qualität und sehr lecker. Wer das mag, ist hier genau richtig. Das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Außenbereich bietet viel Platz und zahlreiche Tische für seine Gäste. Vor allem bei gutem Wetter hat man hier eine sehr angenehm ruhige Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gern wieder und freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch.

Wir ware hier echt begeistert, sieht alles top aus. Das Highlight war als man dann das Schnitzelklopfen gehört hat, hier wird's wenigstens noch frisch gemacht. Wer hier nicht hingeht, selber Schuld! :)

Urigen Restaurant mit nettem Service und gutem Essen

Wir hatten reserviert u waren zum Abendessen dort. Es war aber überraschend wenig los, daher freie Sitzplatzwahl. Der Service war sehr freundlich u aufmerksam. Das Dressing am Salat kräftig u es sollte daher vor Verzehr gut durchmischt werden, dann sehr lecker. Die Forelle war exzellent , beim Zwiebelbraten hätte ich mir vielleicht ein bisschen mehr Sauce gewünscht aber lecker war es . Gute vernünftige Küche

Ambiente ist echt schön, aber das Essen überteuert und nicht lecker. Die Bedienung ist eher sprachlos und brauchte ewig, um abzukassieren.

Essen, Service, Ambiente - jeweils 5 Sterne. Ich war wieder da und werde bei meinem nächsten Neuruppin-Besuch wieder dort essen. Und das mit Freude!
