My wife and I dined at Calla on the evening of November 7th and enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had vegetarian dishes (seaweed salad, pumpkin soup, and red curry). My wife had gyoza instead of soup and halibut for her main course. The kitchen is designed as an open kitchen, allowing you to watch the chefs prepare the food. The meal was truly delicious and beautifully presented. The fish was cooked to perfection (slightly translucent in the center). The dessert was also excellent. The service was unobtrusive and attentive. You can select your wine on an iPad. There is a very nice selection, and you can access information and articles about the wines and wineries.
I've been there at least fifteen times, with friends and family... I highly recommend this place! The owner and staff are super polite and friendly, the food tastes divine (obviously super sweet, but that's to be expected when you walk into a dessert restaurant).
The only thing that's sometimes difficult is the opening hours. A few times, we found ourselves standing in front of the door because the online menu said it was open, but then no one was there. We called, and the owner was there within 10 minutes. I think that's perfectly fine; it can happen to anyone to get stuck somewhere, etc.
All in all, I would say it's my favorite restaurant in Pfaffenhofen.
As is so often the case, it's not what you'd expect from the outside, but it's an outstanding restaurant with top-notch service from Mrs. Forster! The standard is high, yet the prices are truly reasonable. Fine cuisine served with care. Respect!
I am Spanish and the quality of the food is spectacular. The attention is perfect and you breathe pure tranquility on the terrace. The restaurant is very close to the airport and a hotel area where my partner and I stayed. I would repeat in that place again.
Last time I was there.
Two stars because our son's margarita was okay. My Dolce Vita was dry, partly burnt, stems on the pepperoni, pits in the olives, salami instead of ham on top, hardly any cheese, and canned mushrooms. The Hawaiian pizza was partly burnt around the edges and also dry.
A real shame.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. The owner was working alone and warned us that it would take a long time. Despite the beer garden being full, we still had our food after only half an hour. The salad had a very tasty dressing, and the pizza was fantastic.
Very good dürüm.
Positive points: good meat and fresh vegetables, plenty of meat in the kebab 👍, friendly service.
Negative points: the flatbread wasn't warmed, the sauce was rather weak and tasteless.
Overall, 7/10.
