We've been to the Bräustüberl many times now... The atmosphere is fantastic, the whole ambiance fits together, and the food and service are top-notch. Highly recommended

On Monday, September 22, 2025, I arrived with a work colleague. We received a very friendly welcome. We then received our access cards for our rooms. When I opened my room, I was very surprised—of course, only positive. We also visited the hotel restaurant that same evening, where we were also greeted very warmly and assigned a seat. The breakfast was plentiful. That means 10 thumbs up for friendliness. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍+👍👍Bonus The room gets full marks, 10 thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Breakfast also gets 10 thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 The restaurant gets 10 thumbs up for its facilities and decor. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 The food also gets 10 thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 There are also bonus points for the restaurant 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 I highly recommend the Haus zur Isar. Today, September 24, 2025, my work colleague and I set off again towards Baden-Baden.

Very nice hotel, I can only recommend it. Bed and breakfast for €64, you can't complain.

Very bad service. I was with my colleagues in the restaurant and ordered dessert with a tea. The waitress to whom I ordered the tea, took the order and said I will bring the menu with the tea and you can choose. Right after she told so and went away, the other waitress came with the menu and asked if I wanted a tea. Assuming, that these 2 people have communicated with each other, I having no doubt about the situation, I ordered the tea. After a while, the first waitress brought me one tea. I was thankful and started drinking it. After another while, one more tea was brought to me… I told that i already have tea and dont need the second one. There was no reaction on my words and the waitresses disappeared. I didn’t touch the second tea and put it on the other side of the table, thinking that the situation is solved.. However, when the bill came i was pushed to pay to the untouched “cold water” and they cannot do anything. On my rejection, the waitress just gave me the card reader to pay for both teas and the explanation was “you ordered one tea to me and one to her”. It is also worth mentioning, that the first waitress was a young one and maybe not experienced, and the second one older, who pushed me to pay. I am sorry, even if it sounds trivial, but if there is no communication between the waitresses who are in charge of one and the same table, why the customer should answer for their mistakes? Very disappointed in the service. Please be careful and dont pay twice!

Great restaurant, good service, menu with something for everyone

One thing in advance: the quality and taste of the food is excellent! BUT: The portion sizes are a complete disgrace (especially with the daily changing lunch dishes). Last week, for example, there was “Sur and roast pork with bread dumplings”. The portion consisted of a mini dumpling the size of a walnut and 2 tiny bite-sized pieces of meat, topped with a dollop of sauce. Total weight of the entire portion is well under 100 grams, a Hipp baby bottle for comparison contains 190 grams as the recommended portion size for an infant! Identical picture shortly before with Lüngerl or with a cream roast (2 tiny, wafer-thin slices of meat, similar to cold cuts, and again a single one of the well-known mini dumplings). One might expect an experienced restaurateur to be able to roughly estimate the daily requirements, but if there is still not enough, it is better not to accept any additional orders instead of continuing to share the shortage and still ripping off the guests with the full price for an empty plate. Basically, I really like the food here, but paying 8.50 euros to then get up hungry is just not possible. If things improve significantly in the long term and sustainably, I would be happy to adjust my rating accordingly.

Was here for lunch and received a very friendly welcome from the waiter. Was served promptly with excellent beer 🍺, the food also came very quickly and was very good (meatloaf with mushrooms and mashed potatoes) Bräustüberl has a nice atmosphere, I felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Today we rounded off a very nice two-generation outing here. Thanks to the very good, friendly and reliable service, we were served a variety of high-quality dishes at fair prices. The ambience also invites you to linger longer. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back. I hope the entire team stays as we met today.

I was a guest with dinner and overnight stay with 40 people on July 6th, 2024. I can only say thank you on behalf of all my fellow travelers. Everything was just great!!! Can only recommend this house. If one of us ever happens to be in the area, they will definitely stay here again.

Great food. Decent place to lay your head. No air-conditioner, no fans. Prepare to sweat in the summer. It was warm. However, clean and friendly. Staff was impeccable.

A large group of us had dinner at the hotel's inn a few weeks ago. Finding a parking space was shockingly difficult because the advertised parking spaces could not be found or were apparently too few. The furnishings are very, very comfortable, the large table was made of solid wood and very pretty, the chairs and bench were super comfortable. The service was incredibly friendly and was able to explain regional dishes to us. The selection of meat and fish dishes is very good, but vegetarian or even vegan options leave a lot to be desired. I had the pumpkin dumplings, which unfortunately didn't impress me at all. The whole peppercorns looked pretty, but unfortunately completely ruined the taste experience for me. My father wasn't convinced by his small and very beige portion of lamb and was actually still hungry afterwards, even though he's really not a big eater. The rest of the family was luckier and there were some very tasty looking dishes on the table. There was enough choice of drinks and paying by card also worked. All in all, the restaurant has a great charm, but I personally wouldn't go there again for the food, but my uncle is already planning his next vacation. A recommendation for meat lovers, but not particularly suitable for vegans/vegetarians or those with lactose intolerance.

We got to the restaurant at around 12:15 p.m. Salad buffet was almost empty, no dumplings, only 1 piece of fish, dry fibrous meat, everything almost empty, no plates. It took forever to get refilled. Expected something better for the price

The steakhouse here is one of the best around. Always a special experience. Not cheap, but worth every euro. Update: The mixed steak platter now also has labels. (see image). Is a real experience!

Immer sehr leckere bayrische Küche. Eine Kinderkarte ist mit dem Üblichen (Nuggets, Schnitzel, usw...) vorhanden. Preislich eher im oberen Mittelfeld einzuordnen.
