The flatbread shop survives all storms? Every time we come home to the Ries we go to the Pirates and every time it is a joy to see that the flatbread shop defies all trends and does its thing mercilessly. “Pirate Pizza” with the kids during the day and a pub in the evening. There is still room for punk rock and other "weird activities". Flatbreads remain good, people are funny and toilets are rustic. AJZ mood arises. Keep it up!
Yesterday was the first and last time in the tomcat Karl. I had to wait 30 minutes before I could finally place an order. The breakfast wasn't bad, nothing special, the coffee was lukewarm, very cold air came from the old wooden door behind me. But the worst thing was the toilet. The fact that something so disgusting will still exist in 2025 is terrible. Reminded me of taverns of yesteryear.
I have been able to see the behind the scenes of how the DFAC restaurant works, cooks and serves the NATO school students. This is an extremely clean, well operated, knowledgable staff that can serve some really good authentic food from recipes of where the NATO students come from.
Highly recommended if you are a NATO student, German, US Military or US Federal employee.
Families living on site can bring kids for the fast food grill on the menus offered.
The food was very good, a bit expensive for a sports center restaurant. But within limits. The portion was large and nicely prepared. The service staff very friendly.
It's a shame that you have to leave at 10 p.m., and it's also a shame that they don't ask you if you want anything else.
Unfortunately, the room scent nebulizer is very annoying, as I am very sensitive, it constantly scratched my throat and I had the urge to cough. I would also like to enjoy my food, i.e. not only taste it but also smell it.
We've found our new favorite kebab shop! The meat is crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the combination with arugula and pomegranate seeds is perfect! Tastes really fresh. Very friendly service, too. We'll definitely be back.
Best :-))
Simple but tasty restaurant, with decent lunch menus.
Best price-performance ratio in the area, you can turn a blind eye to the somewhat slow service when there is a lot of traffic...
